It didn't long for Sadi to start giggling, and when she first did it was like music to my ears. We did everything we could to hear her little giggle, as it was such a sweet noise. It was at 0500 however when Sadi woke screaming at the top of her little lungs, for someone who was so small she made alot of noise. I checked her tempreature and it came back extremley high which worried me to no end. I grabbed her out of her crib and held her closely, before Tony grabbed her baby bag and rushed out the door behind me. We drove to the emergency room and rushed to the receptionists desk at Betheseda. When one of the nurses saw her they rushed us of to one of the doctors rooms and we were meet with a doctor who took Sadi and checked everything for us. I was crying and Tony was trying to calm me down though I knew he was almost about to lose it too, it was hard to watch our little girl go through this much pain at such a young age. She had only just had her six week check up because they were concerned with her breathing as one of her lungs were slightly smaller than the other, but she was fine less than two days ago.
Turning in Tony's arms and hiding my face in his chest he rubbed my back. I didn't like this one bit and I could hear her cries as they got louder. I wanted to hold my little girl and make sure she was alright, I wanted to take the pain away and have her get back to 100% health though I knew that she would still get sick, everyone got sick eventually, I just wanted Sadi to be older and a little stronger before something like this happened.
"Why now?" I sobbed as Tony tried soothing me
"I don't know sweet cheeks" he answered and I looked into his eyes seeing the fear mirrorred in his expression.
"I just wish this had waited, until she was older by like a month or something. She's only six weeks and thats terrifying knowing that our baby is in pain and there is nothing we can do about it" I said and he nodded his head in understanding, about to say something when the doctor returned, Sadi wriggling in his arms still screaming out in pain, but a little quieter than before.
"Its hard yes, but she's a fighter little Sadi. She has an ear infection, most likey caused by built up pressure in her nose passages so it pushed into her ear drums and burst. Tylenol at very small doses every 4-6 hours should be fine, and help with the pain. If it doesn't get better within the next 48 hours bring her back and we'll put her on a prescription" the doctor told us. Grabbing Sadi and holding her close as she screamed out, we thanked the doctor and made our way back out to reception, where Tony paid before we made our way back out to the car and back home, an hou after our departure from home we returned.
Before putting her back to bed I gave her a small doesage of Tylenol and sat with, rubbing her back as her screams quietened and turned to sobs, which eventually turned to sniffles. An hour after returning from hospital, Sadi fell asleep, I took her back to her bed and tucked her in. Tony who had to go to work in less than an hour and who hadn't gotten a lot of sleep last night called Gibbs and put on speaker phone
"Gibbs" the older man answered his phone after two rings
"Hey Gibbs, I'm not going to make it in to work today" he said and I could imagine the questioning look and raised eyebrow that would be on Gibbs' face at the moment.
"Why?" he asked
"Well we kinda had a situation with Sadi" he said and looked at me cause he was choking on what he was saying
"What Tony is trying to say Gibbs is that Sadi wouldn't go down for a sleep last night, she was being a bit of a grump, eventually she crashed and got about three hours sleep before she woke up screaming, I checked her temperature and noticed that it was high and we rushed her to the emergency room at Betheseda and they took her away, did some tests and told us she had an ear infection. We got home an hour ago, gave her some Tylenol and she only just fell asleep" I said explaining our night, which was filled with a lack of sleep.
"Ok thank you Ziver, I don't want to see you in here until tomorrow morning you understand me Tony. You make sure my granddaughter is 100% before you come in though" he said and we nodded
"We will, see you Gibbs" I said hanging up the phone, before crawling into bed and falling asleep.
