With everyone in on the plan for Tim's proposal we got ready for a very epic day, I got up and dressed Sadi in her little dress that Abby had brought her it had a white pedicot with pink polka dots and then pink fabric over top, it was a little big on her but she still looked adorable. When Sadi was dressed I handed her to Tony and then went and dressed myself, I dressed in a purple chiffon dress that was loosely fitted so that it hid the baby weight that I was currently losing. Finally we were ready to go, we meet with everyone else at the restaurant where Abby and Tim had had their very first date all those years ago, when their romance was just getting started the first time. Breena and Jimmy were already there as were Ducky and Gibbs, Breena was wearing a pink dress with pink lace, she looked gorgeous as always, and when Abby turned up she was wearing a black dress with a belt around her waist. We were having a good time and Abby hadn't suspected anything, she was truly enjoying herself and getting into the story telling and everything else.
"What are you guys all doing here?" Abby asked and we all smiled
"We're here to celebrate your birthday with you Abs" Tony said and the rest of us nodded
"Thank you guys for coming" she said and Gibbs smiled
"There isn't any where else we'd rather be than here celebrating with you Abigail" Ducky said smiling at her from across the table.
Eventually we all had our meals in front of us and the conversations died down so that we could eat. That was until Sadi started squirming in her high chair, I leant over and checked to see if she needed a nappy change and grabbed the baby bag from the back of my chair and then carried Sadi to the bathroom. I was in there for about half a minute when Abby walked in and headed to one of the stalls. When she walked out I was just getting Sadi back into her dress, she made her way over and smiled to us
"She's so beautiful Ziva, you're so lucky" Abby said and I smiled
"Yeah, but I wouldn't of had this chance if I was still with Mossad" I said and she nodded in understanding
"I bet it would've been hard not knowing if you were ever going to experience this, if you woud ever find someone to settle down with" she said and I nodded
"Oh it was hard, and even when I knew that I was getting it, that Tony and I were forever it was still hard to imagine my life the way it is now" I told her and she smiled sadly.
"I just hope that I get the chance to settle down with someone and have children before its too late" she whispered leaving the room before I could reassure her. Sighing I grabbed Sadi and the bag before making my way back out to the table. I tried making eye contact with Abby but she ignored me and I frowned, Tony seemed to notice my distress because he leaned over and kissed my cheek
"You alright?" he asked and I shook my head
"What is it?" and I shook my head again, I didn't want to let him know. It was then that McGee chose that moment to signal the band, that was one thing about this restaurant that I liked, it had a live band playing. The music changed to a song that I'd heard maybe twice on the radio, Tie It Up by Kelly Clarkson but sung by the female singer who had an amazing voice. McGee got up and knelt beside Abby's chair grabbing her hand and holding it tightly.
"Abigail Scuito, you have been my best friend and true love since the moment I set eyes on you 12 years ago. Every moment I have spent at your side has been a blessing and every moment for the rest of my life I want to share with you at my side, to treasure and to have adorable goth nerds with you" he moved one of his hands into his jacket pocket and pulled out a blue velvet box and Abby gasped when he opened the lid
"Will you marry me?" he asked and Abby squealed with delight jumping up and into McGee's arms
"Of course I will marry you" she said before crushing McGee's lips with her own. We all cheered as they kissed and then Abby ran to my side to show me the ring, I gasped and then gushed over its beauty with her. I turned however when Tony said
"Goth nerds thats a good one Timmy" I glared at Tony and he stopped
"Sorry Timmy" and everyone burst out laughing.
"Are you happy now?" I whispered to Abby and she nodded
"So very happy" she replied and I smiled hugging her.
