I know it's been a long time, but I finally posted this chapter!
Hope you guys enjoy it!
I don't own RWBY or Fairy Tail.
Chapter 10: Choices
Back in the hallway, Natsu and Ruby were talking with Ozpin. "What do you mean?", she asked him. "I mean, it's only been one day. Ruby... I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child on this planet. But at this moment, I would not consider your appointment to leader to be one of them."
Natsu smiled after hearing this from him. "Being a team leader isn't just a title you carry into battle, but a badge you wear constantly. If you're not always performing at your absolute best, then what reason do you give others to follow you?"
Thinking about what he meant, Ruby looked back at him and smiled.
Ozpin then turned away from the two, but didn't leave just yet. "You've been burdened with a daunting responsibility, Ruby. I advise you take some time, to think about how you will uphold it."
Ruby would then nod to him as Natsu patted her back. "I'll take you back to your dorm."
"That's preposterous!", Port declared to the heiress.
"Excuse me?!", Weiss exclaimed to her professor. "I've believed in Professor Ozpin for many years, and the man's never once led me astray!" Weiss was shocked by this. "So you would just blindly accept his decision even after seeing how exceptional I am?"
Kratos stood in front of Weiss. "Weiss, just because you're a skilled fighter doesn't mean you deserve to be a leader of your own team."
Weiss glared at him. "Speak for yourself."
"With all due respect, your exceptional skill on the battlefield is matched only by your poor attitude.", Port told her.
Weiss looked at him with a shocked look once again. "How dare you!"
"That's exactly what he's talking about, Weiss.", Kratos replied. "Do you think your own team would follow you into battle if you continued to act as you are right now?"
Weiss ended up frowning as she crossed her arms and looked away. Kratos looked back at Port. "Professor?" Port nodded to him before looking at Weiss once more. "So the outcome did not fall in your favor. Do you really believe that acting in such a manner would cause those in power to reconsider their decision?"
Weiss ended up calming down while listening to him. "So instead of fretting about what you don't have, savor what you do. Hone your skills, perfect every technique, and be not the best leader, but the best person you can be."
That was when Weiss smiled at him. Kratos smiled as well. "Why don't you go talk to Ruby? I believe she needs to hear at least apologize."
Soon, Ruby and Natsu walked by to see the trio outside. Port started walking away as Weiss remained where she was with Kratos standing beside her. Ruby ended up smiling a bit before she and Natsu continued walking.
it was now nighttime at Beacon Academy. Weiss walked into her team's dorm to see Blake and Yang asleep on their beds. Walking to Ruby's bed, she pulled the blanket away to see that she was sleep as well. She also had books and papers near her along with a pencil in her hand. It looked like she was studying.
Weiss was quite surprised by this. She cleared her throat as she shook Ruby's shoulder. Ruby let out a loud snore before waking up and seeing Weiss in front of her.
"Weiss! I-I was studying, and then I fell asleep! I'm sorry..."
Weiss covered her mouth with her hand and held her finger to her own, signaling her to be quiet before removing her hand. "How do you take your coffee?" Ruby was a bit confused. "I-I don't..."
"Answer the question.", Weiss told her. "Uhh, cream and five sugars!" Weiss nodded and got off the bed. "Don't move." After a while, she returned with a mug of coffee and gave it to Ruby. "Here." Ruby took the mug of coffee. "Um, thanks Weiss."
Weiss then smiled at her. "Ruby, I think you have what it takes to be a good leader."
Ruby ended up smiling after hearing her say this. "Just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have!" As she was about to leave, Weiss pointed at her paper. "That's wrong, by the way." She got off the bed and walked to the door, opening.
Before she could leave, she turned back to her leader. "Hey, Ruby?"
"Uh huh?", she asked. "I always wanted bunk beds as a kid." Weiss then left. Ruby kept her smile as she returned to her studying.
What both the girls didn't know was that Kratos was watching the entire time through the window. "You did good, Weiss. Keep supporting her."
Natsu, meanwhile, was carrying his leader on his shoulders while groaning from how heavy he was.
"That's good...Can we go now...?" Kratos nodded to her. "In a bit. Let's let Ruby fall asleep first. She looks like she needs some rest."
Natsu grumbled a bit. "You sound like a stalker." He then took out a Red Dust Crystal and bit off a piece. Kratos heard the crunching sound and stared down at him. "What are you eating?" Natsu looked up at him while eating. "Red Crystal. I found a bunch in a white suitcase."
Kratos became shocked. "You stole from Weiss?! Give that to me!" As Kratos tried to take it from him, Natsu lost his balance and both the Slayers fell from the window screaming.
Ruby looked up from her work and looked at the window, confused when she heard such noise. "What was that?"
At the bottom, Kratos was laying stomach first on a large tree branch while groaning in pain. Natsu was face down on the ground and groaning in pain as well. "I can't feel my arms...", Kratos groaned. "I can't feel anything...", Natsu groaned back. It appeared they were going to be there all night.
Finally! I finally posted this chapter after forever!
I'm currently attending online school and now have some free time! For now.
I'll try my best to post more chapters as much as possible!
Fairy Tail Fact!
Fairy Tail was originally going to end after the Phantom Lord arc. But due to high ratings and popularity, the series continued with new plots, characters, and others things we are glad were introduced to the story.
