A/N: Hi guys! Welcome back! I have 3 things to tell you.

1st of all, you guys rule! You went above and beyond on reviews. And I only need 12 more before we get to 300 (wow!) so I know you guys can do it! I believe in you!

2nd This 'disease' is true, but I'm making up some symptoms and stuff like that, so I sincerely hope I do not offend anyone, and I hope that you think my description seems logical.

3rd I have something I want to get off my chest. It may seem shallow or weird but, I named Madeline Grey after myself. Yes. My name is Madeline. I'm lame. And I make her emotions/interests/talents based off of me. A cooler version of me, of course. But hey, who wouldn't want to be a Grey? Like I'm pretty sure I would want Christian to be my daddy. Ok, let's be honest, most of us want to be Ana (or just simply a sub *provocative wink*), but I'll take the daughter role any day too. Adding on to the "my traits are her traits", I do sing. And I kinda have a YouTube channel. And it would mean a lot to me if you checked out my new cover of "Royals" by Lorde. And if you're just dying to know what I look like, that's a good excuse too. But if you watch it, don't review just to tell me I look dumb or I suck at guitar cause I already know that ;) I'll leave the link right here! : watch?v=UKDSAYEYBVM

Christian rushed out of the elevator and walked down to the main desk on the floor. His blood felt hot, burning as soon as he got the phone call.

"Ana? What is it?"

"Christian, it's Maddie. Something happened and she's being sent to the hospital. She passed out."

"Shit! Where was she?" He ran his hand through his hair, feeling helpless.

"I'm not sure, but definitely not at home. She's going to Grace's hospital."

"I'm on my way."

"Hurry." And with that the phone call ended.

He hated the way hospitals smelled, no matter how many times he used to hang out in one waiting for Grace to get off work.

A woman with brown eyes and dark skin looked up at him. Recognition flickered in her eyes, knowing exactly who he was and who he was looking for. "Room 342."

Christian nodded without a word and walked quickly to the room, Taylor following closely behind. His heart stopped when he saw the empty bed and a crying Ana. He immediately thought the worst.

Ana saw him and shook her head, somehow reading his thoughts. "She's in an MRI. They put her to sleep and thought this was the best time to get a test done."

Christian reached out towards Ana and pulled her close. He stroked her hair, murmuring reassuring words in her ear when he saw another figure in the corner. Zac Carter stood quietly, his dark hair tasseled, his green eyes grim. Christian's jaw clenched. "What the fuck were you thinking?" He moved out of Ana's embrace to stare him down.

"Christian," Ana warned, grabbing his arm, but he shook it off.

"Why would you take her there, to a prison? Are you out of your mind?" Zac said nothing, just lowered his head.

"It was her idea, Christian. Please, relax, it's not his fault." Christian sighed and walked out of the room. Ana gave Zac a small nod and followed him. She looked left to right, making sure no one would hear. "I've had enough, Christian."

Christian's brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"

Ana crossed her arms. "Why did Jennifer take her? For what reason? I want the truth."

Christian raised an eyebrow, "How did you know it was Jennifer?"

Ana blushed, but kept her fierce gaze. "I got some answers for myself."

"You went through my files?!"

"It doesn't matter! Just tell me."

Christian ran his hand through his hair, "Ana-"

"Christian!"

Both heads turned and found Grace walking towards them, her white coat floating behind her.

"Mother. How'd you know about this?" Christian kissed her politely on the cheek.

"Ana called. Follow me, the results are back." Grace turned and made her way back to the MRI room.

Ana pulled on Christian's arm, "this isn't over," she whispered. Despite the fact that she was angry, she gripped Christian's hand for dear life, supporting him and taking his support as well.

Grace led them into a dark room where a brown-haired man sat looking through x-rays. He had a friendly smile and kind eyes, fit for a doctor. Grace cleared her throat and he turned towards them. "Christian, Ana, this is Dr. Kramer, one of Washington's top neurologists. Dr. Kramer, this is my son and daughter-in-law, Christian and Ana Grey. Madeline is their daughter."

"Very nice to meet you. Christian Grey? Do you know John Flynn?"

"Yes, of course. How do you know him?"

"Well, John and I were in the same classes when he was still trying to become an neurologist, but he took a different route, still involving the brain funnily. He talks fondly of you, says you're a great friend."

Christian just nodded, praying Flynn didn't give away any seekers when the Brit got drunk. A drunk shrink.. interesting.

Dr. Kramer continued. "Apparently your daughter has had a few episodes where her arm would stiff up or her body would began to tremble. By looking at her brain, I don't see any major damage that could be fatal or cause physical incapability. As from what I can tell, I can only prescribe this as "Spontaneous Tremors". Now Tremors itself is a disease, but your daughter doesn't experience these moments constantly, they happen at random moments. So I will prescribe her with some medicine that should make these even less frequent and less painful." The Dr. motioned them to follow him into another room where he placed the picture of her brain up against a blue light. "What happens when people have tremors is it starts from the brain and it sends the message to the rest of the body. The body becomes stiff and immobile and there is some pain. It's almost as if tiny little needles poked you. Luckily, your daughters seem to be random and very short, so that's the good news, and this medication should help with the frequency as well. But there is no real cure."

Ana sighed. "But she should be fine, just like diabetics, they take the insulin and their fine for the day?"

"Yes and No, Mrs. Grey. These pills need to be taken daily, and they will definitely help, like insulin helps diabetics, but there is no guarantee that she won't have an episode."

"So she should be fine, though?" Christian asked.

"Yes. Just little hiccups throughout her life, nothing too scary. She should actually be released tomorrow morning; I just want her to stay overnight to see how her body reacts to the medicine." His pager beeped ad he excused himself, the Grey's thanking him.

"Let's go to her room. She should be awake." Grace led them back to their daughter's room.

"You scared the shit out of me, you know." Zac rubbed his eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't think that would happen." Maddie reached out and touched his hand, gasping when she felt him clasp her small fingers between both of his. His eyes bore guilt when he looked at her. "It's not your fault."

"I shouldn't have taken you there. It was too dangerous."

"No, it was what I needed to do. And if I was at home by myself, who would have called the ambulance?" She watched as Zac visibly shuttered, his eyes closed. Just then, her parents and grandmother came walking in.

Zac looked down and gave her hand a squeeze. "I'll see you later." He gave her parents a swift nod, steering clear of Christian's furious gaze, and exited the room.

Maddie swallowed. "Hi."

Ana and Christian played it how they always did, Ana comforted and Christian scolded (and eventually comforted as well).

Ana walked over to the chair next to the bed and sat down after giving her daughter a loving squeeze of the arm. "Hi darling."

Christian stayed brooding in the corner while Grace came and checked her IV bag. "Everything seems fine. I'll let you guys talk." Grace stroked her granddaughter's cheek and gave her son a behave look, the left.

"How are you feeling?" Ana stroked her hair.

"Much better. Whatever pain stuff they're giving me is working."

Ana smiled warmly, then glanced at Christian. "The doctor's want you to stay the night tonight, so I think I'm going to run home quickly and get you an outfit. Anything in particular?"

"Sweats." Maddie said instantly.

"Alright. I'll be back soon. You guys can talk."

Ana left giving Christian a behave look as well, the second one of the night, and walked out with Sawyer. Taylor gave Christian and Maddie some privacy by shutting the door and standing in front of it.

Christian walked slowly to the seat Ana previously sat in and stared at her blankly, saying nothing.

Maddie swallowed and blushed. "Hey, dad," she whispered nervously.

He simply nodded his head in acknowledgement. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally spoke. "So. You decided to go behind my back and visit Eric?" He didn't look her in the eye.

"Dad-" She stopped, not really knowing what to say.

He continued. "Do you know how stupid that was? And dangerous? I don't want you near them ever again."

"They were handcuffed and there was a wall between us. He couldn't hurt me."

"That's not the point! You had no security, just the boy. What would happen if paparazzi followed you?" He stopped, testing himself before he asked his big question. "Why did you want to speak with Eric in the first place?'

Maddie understood the true feelings behind his anger: he was hurt. He, of course, being a person who was self abhorrent, assumed that he wasn't good enough for her, and that she missed Eric and liked him better. Maddie shook her head. "Dad, it's not what you think."

"How do you know what I think?" Christian asked, looking at the white sheets on the bed, away from her face.

"Because I used to think the same things." His head shot up, but she continued. "You think I went to see him because I miss him, and that I have a better relationship with him than you, that I would rather be with him than you. That's just not the case. You're my dad, and I'm so blessed and thankful that you are. I couldn't have asked for a better dad." She gave him a small smile. "I used to think I wasn't good enough to be your daughter, but then you and mom reassured me. Now I'm trying to reassure you."

Christian looked into his daughter's eyes and felt an overwhelming sense of pride. She was so strong, just like her mother. But he still didn't understand. "But why did you go?"

"I had to." She paused and took a breath. "I think what I really needed was closer, and I got that. But I also needed answers. Answers you won't give me." She glared at him, her big blue eyes dark and her skin ghastly white. She had a small v between her brows just like Ana, but her face was the full on Christian Grey grimace.

"Maddie, I can't tell you I'm sorry." He stopped, lost for words.

"Save it. I'm going to sleep." She glared at him once more, than her face softened, as she leaned forward and gave her father a hug. "I'm sorry. I was stupid. Am I forgiven?"

Christian smiled and pressed a kiss on her forehead. "Of course. Get some rest."

Ana's curiosity could not be contained. After Getting some clean clothes for Maddie and calling Teddy and Phoebe telling them what was happening and not to worry, she tip toed into Christian's office. Why are you being so discreet? You know no one is here. Ana smiled and smugly yelled, "I'm going into Christian's office without permission!" Reaching the file cabinet, she opened the first drawer and pulled it out. She remembered: subs were in a manila folder, everyone else was in a blue one. All she knew was that her name was Jennifer, so she decided to look through all of the Jennifer's. Luckily there were only two files she found out of all of them; a blue one and, to Ana's distaste, a yellow one. She sat down on the soft carpet and opened both side by side. Both were labeled Richards, Jennifer, but inside the blue one, it stated that she was married and now Jennifer Jones. In the Jennifer Jones file, it clearly stated that she was the one who took Maddie. After looking through it for a while, she decided to put it away, but once again, her curiosity controlled her brain and she had to look in the yellow-sub folder. What she saw made her want to cry and break things and find the bitch. The picture from the sub folder was identical to the blue one.

When Ana returned to the hospital, she sat Maddie's clothes down in the room and left, not saying a word to Christian. Confused, he followed her out and pulled at her arm. "What's wrong?"

She looked up and down the hallway and pulled him around the corner. "So. She was a sub?" She hissed.

Christian's looks became panicked. "Ana, I'm sorry."

"Christian, I don't know what to think."

"Please don't over think. I had no idea."

"I know you didn't. But the fact is that she wanted some sort of revenge. And don't you dare say that this isn't different from Leila. Leila wanted to hurt me. That's fine," she ignored his wince and continued, "but this woman took my child. She took the one thing that was rightfully ours. She took the years away from us. And I can't accept that."

Christian stood there speechless.

"I used to think that I could get over your past, but maybe I was too naïve." Tears slowly slid down her cheeks.

Christian gasped. "Ana," he chocked, almost a sob.

Ana took a shaky breath as something from deep within her came up. "Christian, I was afraid of this. I think I've lost the real me over the years. I think I fell for you too soon."

Christian gripped the wall, searching for something stable to hold on to, his world falling apart. No, no, not my Ana.

"I'm going to get a coffee." She turned away from the man she loved so deeply, so passionately, but was so confused and hurt by, and put some distance between them.
