Sorry, again, for the wait. To anyone whose still reading this: you're amazing!

It feels like it's been days since we've had a good meal to eat or water to drink. I thought the snow would work fine for water but the moment I pulled out my water bottle full of melted snow Willow snatched away and said, "Please tell me you haven't had any of this already!". Apparently it makes you pretty sick, it happened to Spencer several days ago.

"We're not sure if it's fetal yet, because, well, you know…" She's shied away from the topic of Spencer since the day we met up. "But it's definitely not any good for your health."

So these days, our number one priority is water. I have had no idea what's going on in the rest of the arena for days and it's been killing me, just sitting here and getting no where. Cassius is having the same problem, but probably because of his stupid idea that we need to get to the peak of the mountain. He's been grilling Ash and Willow every chance he gets for all the details they have about the "Yeti" but as far as I can tell the monster's unbeatable.

"Let's go over this again." Ash says, cutting through my thoughts. "The snow's no good, we haven't found any running water except the moat you guys were talking about at the bottom of the mountain."

I sigh, this again. We've had no new information for what feels like years. Yesterday Willow and I took the snowmobile down to the moat to check it out, but she agreed, that stuff looks nasty. The snowmobile's done too. The thing stopped about halfway back up the mountain, making us walk the rest of the way.

I wonder how District One is doing now. Maybe they still get sponsor gifts. We haven't gotten a single thing since it was just Cassius and me. I think the sponsors believe I've lowered my chances by joining with Willow, Ash, and Jayden instead of District One. I don't care. I couldn't stand Shine and Gray for another day.

"Are you sure the moat's not for drinking? It's the only running water we've found!" Jayden turns to me, desperately.

I look over at him, sympathetically. If there was one person I could get out of this situation, it would be a tough choice between him and Cassius. Jayden's much too sweet, too innocent, too young for this awful place.

"Sorry, Jay, but the moat's disgusting. I don't think I'd drink from it if I were dying." Willow replies from her perch in the trees, chewing on a piece of stale bread.

"I'm telling you though, that water looked higher than the last time I saw it. Only maybe an hour away on the snowmobile, Cass!" I look over at him, begging him to listen. It's the only new information I've had in forever yet for some reason he doesn't seem to accept it. Neither does anyone else. I pointed it out to Willow when we were there but she just said, "Lexi, you were out of it when you came down here. You can't really be sure what you saw, can you?"

Cass shrugs, which at least seems at little closer than I've gotten this past little while. This whole ordeal is starting to really get to the both of us.

"Maybe, whatever." he says finally. "We can't really worry about that now."

Well, I guess he's right on that front.

"You're right. I'll go out on another scout around." I say, getting to my feet. "I need to move."

This is all we've been doing the past little while, scouting. Trying to find water, every second of every day. It sucks, but it's better than sitting around camp and moping.

"I'll come with you." Ash and Willow say at the same time, gathering their packs eagerly. I know they same my attitude about this at least.

I turn to Cass and Jayden. "You too guard camp, okay? Watch out for each other." They nod.

"Which way haven't we gone recently?" Willow asks looking around.

I shrug.

"East, maybe?" Ash guesses, looking around helplessly.

I yawn, "Why not?". And we go on our way.

It takes what feels like hours for anything interesting to happen, but then again, in the arena it's hard to decide between being bored to death or suddenly being gored to death. Well, usually. Generally, this is what the Gamemakers consider "interesting". I could do without that too.

The three of us are trudging eastward when a cannon sounds around the arena. Instinctively, I look both ways, but Ash and Willow are still standing upright, looking as confused as I do.

"What do you think happened?" asks Willow. "Whose even left? Oh, I hope Jay and Cassius are okay!"

I give a sharp intake of breath. I hadn't even thought of that. What if someone attacked camp?

Then the hovercraft appears, and I can breath again, but only for an instant. It's further east of us, nearly straight ahead by about a half mile.

Ash frowns, he sees the problem too. "Should we run, or hide or what?" he asks, looking at me.

Too late. An eerily familiar voice rings through our little clearing. "Oh little Alexis, so this is who you ditched us for."
