Mikey's lunges burned. Every muscle ached, but he couldn't stop. He had to find her.
How could she just leave him, giving him nothing more then a note.
He had been at this since the sun set. Nothing but the sun coming up could stop him. As long as he had the cover of night he would keep at this. With Leo putting training on hold, it meant he could sleep during the day.
Screw what his brothers said. It was always the same anyway.
"Mikey you can't keep doing this."
or
"Mikey you can't do this on your own."
When he asked why he couldn't do it on his own, it was usually something along the lines that he was, well, Mikey.
Mikey the screw up. Mikey the idiot. Mikey the weak link.
They never said the last one, but he was sure they thought it.
He wouldn't let them think that anymore.
He had refused any help the last two weeks. Didn't matter what it was. From help finding Viper, to help getting to his room after collapsing from exhaustion from staying up looking.
It especially bothered him when Leo did it. Mr. Leader never seemed to trust him. He wasn't a baby Damn it!
Mikey growled and picked up the pace. Sadly the sun would be peaking it's head out in about and hour, so it was time to head back to the lair.
He made it back in about forty five minutes, which was fast, considering how far out his was.
He walked to the kitchen. ignoring Raph welcoming him back. He chugged a glass of water down, not stopping to eat.
He made his way to Donnie's lab.
"Find anything D?"
"No." Donnie said frustrated. He rubbed his face, looking away from his computer for the first time in hours. "Nothing, no deaths, no disappearances, just nothing. Who ever Viper was, no one seemed to care enough to bother telling she was missing." Donnie stood up and made his way over to his sleep deprived brother.
"Mikey did you eat?" Donnie asked putting his hands on Mikey's shoulders.
"What does it matter to you?" Mikey ripped out of his grip.
"Oh you know, food is kinda what keep's you alive. So, tell me honestly. Did. You. Eat."
"I'm sleeping like you asked. So stop worrying. I'm fine."
"I could stop looking for who Viper was." Donnie lied. He would look anyways. Even if it was behind his back.
"Fine. No, I didn't eat. If I eat will you leave me alone?"
"Yes."
Mikey glared at Donnie before walking out of the lab, leaving Donnie once again alone.
Mikey made his way to the kitchen and looked through the fridge.
"Nothing, nothing, and noth- wait what?"
He picked up a container full of a green liquid. It was Viper's.
Shrugging, he chugged it down. It tasted like nothing. When he got Viper to come back he would have to talk to Donnie about fixing that.
If you get her back. He ignored that thought.
He made it to the couch before he collapsed and fell into a fitful sleep.
When Mikey woke up he found him self covered in a blanket. It was the one from Leo's bed. He threw it to the floor and made his way to the dojo.
"Leo I told you-" He stopped, Leo wasn't here. Sighing, Mikey went and sat in the middle of the room.
He closed his eyes, getting into a meditative state. He needed to calm down. To concentrate. He need to get a grip.
He slowed his breath, consecrating on the sound of his heartbeat. He was concentrating so hard that he didn't hear it when Donnie asked what he was doing.
"Mikey what are-." Donnie stopped realizing his baby brother was doing something he never thought he would ever voluntarily do.
He was meditating.
Donnie quickly backed out of the room, leaving silently
"I'm serious, Mikey was meditating. He was so focused he didn't even notice me."
"Well." Raph through another punch at the punching bag. "He hasn't." Wack. "Exactly been." Wack. "Been himself lately."
"Ya, a little too much not like himself, if you ask me." Donnie sighed "I'm worried, if he keeps this up, he'll just keep going till he crashes."
"What?" Wack. "Meditating?"
"No, refusing to take care of him self."
Wack. "Honestly." Wack. "I don't think." Wack. "We can." Raph stopped turning to Donnie. "Talk him into doing anything."
"I know...I just...I'm worried."
"Mikey's tougher than you think. Honestly when it comes down to it, I think he could take more than we could." Raph took a drink from the water bottle next to him on the floor. "He'll be fine, and by the way, if you ever tell that twerp I said that I'll beat you to a pulp."
After several hours, Mikey came out of his trance. Though, he had been completely still the entire time, he was exhausted.
Why he had decided to meditate, he wasn't sure. It just felt right at the the time.
He got up and stretched.
"OK, time for another round of find the missing girl."
The rain beat down on his shell, making him cold.
Not that it mattered, nothing seemed to matter except finding her.
Why should he care about a girl who showed up in his life for a few days. The thing is, he shouldn't.
But.
Her purple eyes wouldn't leave his mind. Something was going on. How did she lose her memory, was she connected to the masked figure. Maybe.
Then again.
Maybe not.
He slowed to a stop. A figure in a mask stood in the rain, a few roofs away. He ran up to her- no wait. Who ever it was, was shorter. Definitely a kid. No way to tell if they were male or female. Though they wore the same get-up as the masked girl from a month ago.
Now, who ever it was, stood only a few feet away. Close enough to see the rising and falling of their chest.
His heart was pounding. He would have almost sworn he was scared.
He opened his mouth to speak when suddenly, the figure threw a knife at him. It passed his face, barely missing.
"Wait who-AH!" Mikey dodged another knife. He growled.
"Fine!"
He went for a frontal attack, not really thinking about what he was doing. His mind was clouded with questions. Where was Viper, who was this, why-
"Ah!" He was thrown back suddenly by a invisible force. He began rising in the air, unable to breath. He clawed at his neck as his vision started to go black.
He fell back to the ground, finally able to breath again. The figure began walking towards him again.
"Weak pitiful thing." The voice was obviously being modulated, not helping him in anyway to figure who it was. "No wonder she was picked up by you, birds of a feather flock together I guess."
He coughed catching his breath. "Who...is...she?" He thought for a second. "Viper?"
A cold laugh rang out from the person now standing over him. "Is that what she goes my now? It suits her, though I'm surprised she kept the project name as her desired title."
"How do you know her?" Mikey asked, finally able to breath correctly.
"Wouldn't you like to know."
Mikey was once again lifted into air and thrown into the outside wall of the next building over, hitting his head hard before everything went black.
She sighed, it would have been fun to cause her sister's pet a bit more pain, put her master's orders were very specific. No drawing blood, no breaking bones, just 'say hi' and knock him out. She let her hold go and he fell down into the dark ally below. There were several loud bangs as fell, he'd probably hit the fire escape on the way down.
She wrapped a note around one of her knifes and left it on the ground before taking off, leaving the passed out turtle in the rain.
Hey guys! Been...busy...So, I will me taking my story down and revising it a bit. I'll be trying to add more scenes of the guys and April. I know this story does revolve around Viper, but I feel like I've been neglecting the original characters from the show. Plus I'm going to shortening the whole story quiet a bit from what I originally had planned. Please review my lovelys!
Oh, P.S. we'll be seeing a bit more of Casey coming up.
I'm a disclaimer of TMNT but I own Viper and the idea behind her. If you want to use anything about her or the character her self please P.M. me first and get my consent.
