I woke up pinned to a table. I watched as a man walked up to me, the dim light making it hard to see him from across the room.
"My name is Shredder." His voice sent chills up my spine. "From now on, you will swear your loyalty to me."
"And if I don't?" I was scared, would my friends from school notice I was missing? Why was Bill and Rachael OK with this?
"Then I will remove a finger from your sister for every order you disobey."
"Fine, then what's the first thing you want from me, master."
"You will be trained by me. You will be broken by me. You will bend to my will. You will live to serve me."
"Why do you want me? Why not some other person, like oh I don't know, a damn Adult?"
"Hold your tongue."
I took a deep breath. "Sir, I mean no disrespect, but would you please be so kind to explain why you need me?"
Just play nice till you can get out of here Cam, and let's not forget Kayla.
Something told me he wasn't playing around. Last thing I needed was him hurting my sister.
"You need not know for now." I heard a door open and another man walked in. "We'll begin with the first tests." He turned to the person that walked in. The man was wearing medical scrubs and carrying a metal case. "I'll leave you to your work. If you hope to see tomorrow, you would do well to keep her alive and well." With that Shredder took his leave.
I was left alone with this new stranger. He set his case down on a nearby table and pulled out of it a syringe full of a colorful liquid.
Now, I wasn't scared of the fact that he had a needle in his handle, but more along the lines of what was in it.
His footsteps echoed off the walls as he walked towards me.
"So, is that for me?" He glanced at me, but didn't answer my question. I gave an annoyed look.
I didn't do well with being ignored.
"Hey you deaf? What is this place? What did the guy in the mask mean when he told you to keep me alive? Have you killed people before?" I wasn't as scared as before, just curious really.
Silence once again. He began rolling up my sleeve when he accidentally bumped my wrist. I flinched, remembering that I had hurt it. God what had I been thinking?
"Hey watch the wrist." I glared at him. "I think its broken and I don't think sticking a needle in my arm is going to help."
He was quiet. This time I didn't care as he plunged the syringe in my wrist. It hurt, it really hurt. I tensed my body and tried to take deep breaths. It's not like I haven't gone through pain before, but this was ten times worse than anything I'd gone through. My wrist seemed like a skinned Knee compared to this. My body began heating up, adding to the discomfort of this situation.
It seemed like hours before it stopped. If I hadn't heard footsteps, I would have sworn that my screams had made me go deaf.
"Did it go well?" Shredder's voice was now more terrifying than it had been before. I ripped at the restraints, small whimpers escaping my mouth. A cold chuckle reverberated off the walls.
"I take it by her response that it did. Good. Get her on her feet so I can test it out."
I was surprised when I was removed from my restraints. Another needle plunged into my neck, making me jerk. A strong hand held me in place, clenching my shoulder hard. No doubt leaving a bruise.
I kept still till it was pulled out of my skin. I glared at the man in medical scrubs, ripping out of his grip. "Touch me and again and you'll see how hard I can bite." I hissed.
I stood up and walked over to shredder, lowering my eyes in hopes of seeming respectful. "What do want me to do now?" I hoped to get of the wretched room if at all possible.
"Come with me, we have training to do."
The next month few months went by slower than I would have liked. I didn't try to escape after my first attempt. They ended up snapping the bone in my sister's arm. After that, I did as I was told without thought. I would do anything and everything to keep her safe. This was tested several times, much like today's training lesson.
Everyday I went back in that horrid room. Everyday I was strapped down and injected with the same liquid from hell, and every day they upped the dose. The side effects of their tests were good and bad. The good thing was I learned to fight quickly. What should have took years to learn, took days. I also healed much faster than before. The bad part was that I got angry a lot quicker than before. It got really bad at times. I went in what I had come accustomed to calling code black. I chose the name due to my eyes turning pitch black when it happened.
As I attacked my opponent I was quick and precise. I had him pinned with in minutes, one of my twin swords held against his neck.
"Kill him." Shredder commaded.
"Wait, what?" My eyes went from black to purple, having snapped out of my enraged state in surprise.
"Kill him or I kill your sister."
I clutched my swords tighter. Kill him? I'd never thought that he would have me go this far.
Do it for Kayla. It's either him or her.
I closed my eyes as I did as I was told. His body dropped to the ground, blood staining the floor. I averted my eyes and looked up at my master.
"Am I done with training for the day master?" My voice was blank and void of emotion. He couldn't know I was upset. I wouldn't let him break me.
"Yes, head to the test room for your next session."
I cringed internally. I hated this part of the day.
One hour of hell later and a nice hot shower, I made my way to my sister's room. I smiled at the sight of her coloring on the floor.
"Hi Cam!" She looked up at me with a smile of her own. She was the only one who still called me by my real name. Everyone else called me Viper after the name of the project I was apart of.
"How's my ray of sunshine?" I asked sitting down next to her.
"They let me go outside today." She answered, happiness radiating off her voice.
"Oh? How was it?"
"They took me to a park, I wasn't aloud to go more than a few yards away from them. Not to mention they wouldn't let me play with any other kids."
"I'm sad to hear that."
"How was training today, did you win again?" She went back to coloring. I knew why she was asking. Last time I lost, I got an extra dose of the liquid from hell. She was worried I had.
"Training was training, it sucked, but yes. I did win." I ruffled her hair making her swat my hand away laughing.
"I've got a meeting with Shredder later, but I think I can tuck you in tonight."
"Really?" Her eyes went as wide a saucers.
"Ya squirt, but only if you promise to finish your food tonight."
Lately Kayla had been refusing to eat her food. They told me if she didn't turn around her eating habits, they would have to put her on a I.V.
Like hell I was having that.
"Fine." She pouted.
I laughed and got up and left, leaving her to draw and color.
"You want me to...Kill them?" I asked with a strained voice.
"Are you questioning my orders?" Shredder asked his voice raising.
"No sir." I bowed my head.
"Then you will kill the turtles."
From the time I got here till up to now, I'd been learning about the turtles and April O'Neil. Learning about April had sucked. The Krang had basically downloaded what the knew on her into my brain. It hurt like someone setting a grenade off in my head. While learning about Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello had gotten boring after awhile, I would have taken that over the Krang's way of teaching anyday.
"Understood master." With that I left.
"I can't. I can't kill them." I said kneeling down in front of the leader of the foot clan
"Then you will both die." Shredder's eyes were cold and merciless.
"No wait! Please kill me if you want, just spare her!"
Hands grabbed me from behind. I ripped my swords out from the sheaths on my back. I stabbed without looking. Both of my eyes where pitch black. I could feel the adrenaline flowing through my veins. Blood splattered on the floor, I couldn't stop myself. I would kill them all.
I took several men out before they finally got a hold of me. I was put in a cell. They didn't even chain me up this time.
How nice of them.
I curled up in a ball and let myself cry till my eyes went back to purple.
I remembered the time I had tried to explain why Bill and Rachel had Given us up to Kayla.
"Sis, what did I do? What did I do to deserve this?" She looked up at me with a desperate look. Tears streaming out of those big blue eyes. "Why didn't they love us?"
I hugged her, my heart breaking at the sight of her. "They didn't want to give you up Kayla. They wanted to keep you, I heard them ask remember?"
"Then why aren't we with mom and dad?"
"They didn't have a choice Kayla."
I smiled at the memory. After I had calmed her down I had managed to get us some ice cream.
There wouldn't be any more memories like that after this. She would be gone.
I remembered the time they broke her arm.
"No!" Kayla cried as they dragged her away from me. Her blonde beautiful curls, now covered in dirt.
"Stop! Don't take her!" I screamed, pulling at the two burly men holding me back. "I'll kill you all if you so much as touch her!"
In the end, I couldn't do anything. That wouldn't happen this time.
"Help! Please help!" I yelled.
"What is it?" A man asked sticking his head in the room
I bit the inside my mouth, making it bleed. I began coughing, getting blood on my hands. "I...S-something's wrong." I gave him a terrified look.
"I'll get help!" He turned to leave.
"No wait!" He stopped giving me a confused look. "Just take me to the infirmary please. I don't know how long I can last like this." I coughed again getting blood on my pants for good measures.
"O-OK."
He unlocked my cage helping me out. With a smirk, I kicked my leg out making him hit a wall.
"Wait. You're not-" I punched him, knocking him out.
Damn my hand hurt.
I made my way out of the room heading to Kayla's room. She wasn't there, or anywhere I could get access to.
I spied one of Shredder's men, he was opening a room with a key card. I tapped his shoulder, making him spin around. With a solid hit to the face, he was out cold.
I picked the key card up and used it to enter the locked room. I was surprised at the sight before me. Kayla was playing dolls with a grown man on the floor. If hadn't been worried about my sister's life I would have been laughing, but now wasn't time for that.
"Kayla!" I ran up to her, I was a few feet away from her when I was cut off. I glared at the men standing in front of me.
"Move or I will make you move." My eyes turned black.
"Back to your room Viper." One of them said.
"Guess I have to make you move." I grabbed the gun on his hip, shooting him once in the chest. He fell to the floor. The other men sprang at me. I dodged like I was doing a dance. I knocked most of them out, but that hadn't been an option with all of them sadly.
I looked at my sister, my eyes still the color of midnight.
"C-cam?" She was shaking.
"Oh! S-sorry about that." My eyes switched to purple. "We need to get out of here n-"
"In here!" More men came through the door. I Clenched my hands, turning to look at them.
"Is Shredder that sexist? Seriously, why are none of you girls?"
In the end I couldn't hold them off, there was too many of them.
I was dragged to the torture room of death. I was held in place my two Krang bots.
Shredder walked in the room making my anger spike. My eyes went black, a low growl in my throat.
He walked up to me, holding a syringe. "I will take everything away from you, starting with your memory."
I gasped, my eyes going wide as he injected it into my neck. The images of the last month flashed in my mind.
I couldn't kill them. All because I couldn't kill them. I would lose the last person I called family.
All because Mikey reminded me of my love for my sister. Why, why couldn't he have just kept his mouth shut? Why couldn't I have done my job? Why did I have to fail?
I ripped out of the Krangs' hold, making a break for it. I didn't stop. I didn't go to find Kayla. I ran, I ran like there was no tomorrow, and there just might not be one for me.
I made my way out into a busy street, people going this way and that way. It was getting hard to think. I sat down on a bench trying to clear my thoughts. My eyes kept flickering back and forth from purple to black.
I was having trouble staying awake, I finally gave in and fell asleep on the bench.

I'm a disclaimer of TMNT but I own Viper and the idea behind her. If you want to use anything about her or the character herself please P.M. me first and get my consent.
