Ughh, I feel bad every time I update really late. I'm currently going to a weeklong lacrosse camp from 9:00 to around 4:00 and it's really tiring. I've never played so I'm just learning and its super fun. I come home and tutor a neighbor and I also have piano tomorrow. My cousins left and suddenly there's no noise in my house. THE SILENCE IS KILLING ME. The huge party/celebration is over as well and I have like 3 weeks until school starts. Summer has gone by so fast. I'm going on vacation in a week as well so yeh. Thought I'd update you guys on my life! Thanks for all the reviews, follows, and favorites! This chapter is going to clear things up for everybody ;)

Dhenn618 : I can't believe you think this story is perfect! That makes me really happy even though it's not! I'm glad you loved it and I hope you enjoy this, less romantic, yet clarifying chapter :)
Chapter 38 :
"No, I can see that you don't need me in your life," Denver said easily getting out of my hold.
This time Maxon put a hand on his shoulder and said, "For America."
"Look Denver, I never knew that what we had was more than friends. You were a great companion and I was grateful for our relationship. Right now, in my life I'm really happy with the people around me. I'm hoping that this problem will be solved and then we can work on the caste system. I love Declan and I love Maxon too. I know that we are going to be a great family. What I'm saying is, I'm satisfied with every element in my life right now and I don't need somebody bringing me down. I'd love for you to be a friend again, but please just let me love my family." I said.
"You don't understand what Maxon's kind of people are. Your child is infected and you are with the wrong guy."
I watched Maxon clench his fists.
"What the hell did you just say," I say ready to break his head.
"You know exactly what I said." He replied stepping closer to me.
Maxon easily blocked him out so he couldn't touch me.
"Don't you dare touch her." Maxon said strongly. His tone was like a shield, but right now I didn't need one.
"Hold on, you just said my child is infected and I'm with the wrong guy." I pushed Maxon's body aside and looked him straight in the eye.
"If you say anything about my husband and son I swear you won't see your arm."
"You can't do that." He replied.
"Try me."
He took a deep breath and then turned to Maxon. I watched as Denver's eyes softened and suddenly he seemed to have feelings.
"You're a lucky man, King Maxon."
"I'm well aware and please no titles." Maxon said strongly.
"I'm sorry, okay? You both just don't understand how it was like to give up my normal life. Sometimes this is too much and I don't want to deal with it. I just want someone to help me through. I want someone that'll be there for me and that I will love."
"You will find that person Denver. It's not me for sure, I promise. I know that there is a girl out there that needs you in her life as her love and you are going to be so happy with her in your life."
"How can you be sure?"
"America is the one person who can make me smile no matter what. She found me and i found her and we both are like the pieces that complete each other. When I thought that I'd marry someone I didn't love, she found me and I know that you will to," Maxon said.
"Thanks. I doubt it and sorry to both of you. "Denver replied.
"Do you want to talk over lunch about what'll happen when we get there.?" I asked.
"I guess"
Holy Crap.
That was my expression when we went from an empty new bigger island to a full on lab in caves and underneath the seen land. We had got of the ship and arrived and what appeared to be a bunch of rocks, but opened up and became something called an elevator. It can go down and up many levels and you don't have to walk!
From there we started walking and still are walking towards the discussion room. We passed many other rooms with such simple, sleek furniture and different echolo everywhere. Every person had at least 3 devices, it was so different.
"We're here," Axle said.
I reached for Maxon's hand and he gladly took mine.
"Don't be nervous, we're not monsters," Axle said shrugging.
With that he opened the door and all of us went in.
On the other side were around 40 men all dressed in black suits. They were all in different glass seats.
5 men, who I believe are the main people, had stood up.
We walked towards them and they did the same. First they all bowed before a single man came up to me.
He was much taller than I was and he looked down at me.
"You're just as he described," the surprisingly soft voice said.
"Um who are you," I said stepping back.
"I'm Charles Echolo, leader of the guerrilla." He said with a much stronger voice.
Maxon stepped up by my side and said, "It's good we are finally able to meet each other in order to discuss what has been happening."
"Well it's an honor to meet both you and Queen America."
"First of all let us explain what everything around you is. This place is where we all live. Some of us have families and are raising younger children and some are contributing as much as they can. These people and their families have been in the area for generations. We have built tons of labs to build new echolo, back then known as technology. From super computers, to advanced cellphones, we have everything. Our rooms all have purposes and the living quarters are super safe. The interior design is much different than yours if you've noticed. We work of simplicity rather than extravagancy. "
Another man named Marshall continued, "Our home down here has many things Illéa could benefit from."
"We haven't meant to take your resources. We were simply using them for ourselves because we have to stay alive. Right now, we don't want to fight. We want to join together."
Maxon and I looked at them with confused expressions.
"We want to introduce everything to Illéan people. We want to give them the experience they could have had 300 years ago," Marshall clarified.
"We were brought down because of this technology," I state.
"No, you were brought down by the power you allowed it to give." Charles said.
"The super computers can do so much for you. Problems, funding methods, so much could be used. Just don't let it go into the wrong hands."
"So you want us to use all that you've worked on for generations?" Maxon asked.
"When you put it like that it sounds like we're giving everything to you, but we'd have 95 percent of credit and work for this. You all don't understand how much we'll help."
"Let's sit down and discuss, I'd like the input form others here. This seems a bit like a trap.
I stayed close behind Maxon careful not to lose his hand. I had to admit, my new, "motherly protection," applies for him as well.
"Alright, here's our proposal; You let us become a part of your society giving us a place and letting us in your system and we'll work with you to enhance echolo all over the country. We want to help you all by helping different things such as budgeting be a lot easier."
"That's it?" Maxon said.
"Why the creepy videos?"
"We had to intimidate you so you don't believe you have all the power." He replied.
"I just don't understand. Why go through all that trouble when at the end you'll be with us, not against us." Maxon asked.
"If we had done this in front of many people, the same thing would happen. Hunger and fighting. We had to first take care of ourselves with food and shelter, then get your attention, then settle the deal."
"How complex is the echolo?" I ask.
"Very."
After a very long while we finally had set the agreements. Everything would be moved to an undercover station in Illéa, in a shadowed part of Angeles. There were government parts as well as safety procedures that were gone over. We all signed the deal closing everything off.
I and probably many others were surprised at the simplicity of the situation. I guess my thoughts were expecting something more along the lines of war.
We were led to our rooms after it all. Immediately once we closed the door Maxon started to kiss me.
"Finally," he murmured.
"One more problem off our shoulders," I said smiling.
He picked me up and set me down on the bed like I was as light as a feather.
"Maxon," I groaned. "I probably weigh as much as an elephant."
"Honey, you literally weigh nothing. Even after a baby," He said with his caring brown eyes looking into my ice blue ones.
I shook my head and he led a trail of kisses down my neck.
Of course there was a knock on the door interrupting our extremely romantic moment.
Maxon got up and I straightened his tie before he opened up to somebody I wanted to know more about.
"America, may I talk to you in private?"
Who do you think it is? It's pretty obvious ;) Did y'all like the chapter? I felt like it was bit rushed, but I didn't how to slow it down. I'm trying to make things more detailed and more imaginable. Anyway, I had a question for you all. If you are on summer break, when are you going back to school? Also, did any of you get summer homework? I did and it's really long :( As always, follow, favorite, and review, and stay smiling!
