Duckburg, Calisota
Scrooge was at work in his bin, going over some paperwork for a recent business deal. In the two weeks since his adventure to Henapur, there had been no reports of any monsters sighted, meaning they had indeed been trapped in the ruins. The treasure and city my be lost forever now, but at least those creatures won't be hurting anyone else.
As Scrooge finishes one page, he gets a call from his secretary.
"Mr. McDuck? There is a man here to see you. He doesn't have an appointment, but says you'd be interested in what he has to say."
"Hmm... Send him up." Scrooge says, figuring he may as well talk to this individual as he has nothing much planned for the day, and his experience tells him it could lead to new opportunities.
Soon, the visitor comes up, being a somewhat sharply dressed male northern lapwing in his late 30's, who Scrooge stands to greet.
"Good afternoon, sir." Scrooge extends a hand
"Afternoon, Mr. McDuck." The lapwing says with a very strong Irish accent, taking Scrooge's hand and shaking it. "My name is Finn O'Donnell."
"Good to meet you, lad. Come, take a seat." Scrooge offers as he sits at his desk, Finn sitting in a chair across from Scrooge. "So, you said you had something to tell me?"
"Aye, Mr. McDuck. A treasure to end all treasures..." Finn says as he gets out a book and opens it up to two adjoining pages, one showing an illustration of a spear, and one of a sword. "These."
"A sword and spear?"
"Not just any sword and spear, the ultimate sword and spear. Two of the treasures of the mythical Tuatha Dé Danann. Heard of them?"
"Er, vaguely?"
"They were the pre-Christian gods of Ireland, who were said to have settled the land before the first humans ever set foot on the land." Finn explains as he shows Scrooge the book, which is on Irish mythology. "Eventually, the gods left, but not before leaving behind their descendants, the Aos sí, and their treasures, being the Stone of Fál, said to have cry out beneath the rightful king of Ireland; the Cauldron of the Dagda, said to leave no company unsatisfied; and of course, the Spear of Lugh, and Sword of Light."
"I see. What do they do?"
"They are the grandest implements of battle ever, with the spear making battle against it and its wielder unsustainable, and the sword is unescapable and unresistable once drawn. Thus, any who wield them, will be an undefeatable warrior."
"And you would like me to find them?"
"Of course. Most say they are legends, but I KNOW they must be true, what with everything you've found. Surely, if anyone can find them, it is the mighty Scrooge McDuck."
"Hmmm... Well, you have peaked my interest lad. I'll look into it and get back to you."
"Excellent! Once found, these weapons will change the world..."
"Perhaps. Mind if I keep this book? It could help me find where they are."
"Of course, sir. That's why I brought it." Finn then gives Scrooge a number to call for if he is needed, as he stands up. "I'll be taking my leave." Tips his hat to Scrooge. "Good day, Mr. McDuck."
"Have a good day, lad!" Scrooge says as he goes over the book.
...
After arriving at his hotel, Finn makes a phone call. "{It's O'Donnell. He agreed to it. Everything is going as planned.}" Finn says in Irish Gaelic with a stern and serious tone, listening to his contact. "{Yes, I'll be accompanying him back. I'll see you then, comrade... To the new order.}" He ends the call, hanging up.
After a few days, Scrooge is ready to go, preparing to board his plane for Ireland. Then, Finn approaches, carrying his bag.
"Mr. McDuck!"
"Ah, Finn lad. What brings you here?" Scrooge asks.
"I'd like to join you on your adventure. I've dreamt of these things since childhood, and I wanna be there when you find them!"
"Well... who am I to say no? Come aboard lad!"
"Thank you, sir." Finn nods as he boards, Scrooge closing the door as he and Finn take their seats, as the plane takes off for Ireland.
