Chapter 4: Mad Love
Rukia woke up and sat up as she yawned. She noticed that Ashido wasn't in bed with her. She looked around her room as she checked the bathroom. He wasn't there either. Rukia grabbed a pair of change of clothes and got dressed. Izaya then woke up as he checked his phone. He frowned when Gremmy didn't message him. Izaya did so just to make sure if he's still into this relationship.
"Hi hon~! I'm sorry, I kinda cried myself to sleep last night. But I'm feeling better now. I was wondering, do you wanna go back to the carnival today? It leaves later tonight & I do wanna spend my alone time with you." Gremmy asked Izaya using many heart emojis.
"Of course, love. Let me get dressed & eat something then I'll be on my way. :)" Izaya sent the text as he headed to the restroom to change clothes.
Rukia came out of her room as she looked for Ashido. She then saw Izaya coming out of his room as Rukia smiled and walked up to him.
"Good morning, Izaya. Did you sleep well last night?" Rukia asked her younger brother as she smiled.
"I did. Thank you sis. Are you getting breakfast? I'm heading there right now." Izaya told her as he smiled.
"I am yeah, but I'm also looking for Ashido. He just left my room this morning." Rukia told Izaya as she sighed.
Izaya smiled as he held her hand. Then Ashido came out of the head captain's office as he sighed. He looked up as he stepped back when Aizen walked up to him as he smiled.
"Whoa there new guy. All is well. I see you got signed into a squad? That's awesome. What squad are you in?" Aizen asked him as he smiled at Ashido.
"I'll be in squad ten. So will you excuse me? I must go meet them and let them know who I am." Ashido told Aizen as he walked off.
Aizen grabbed onto his wrist and stopped him. "Hang on. We're all eating right now. I'll show you your new squad when we arrive at the cafeteria." Aizen asked him as he smiled at him.
Ashido sighed. "Alright, fine. I should also apologize to my girl. I ended up ditching her this morning, she's probably awake by now and must be terrified that I left her." Ashido explained to Aizen as he sighed.
Aizen blinked his eyes. "Who? Who's your girl? I had no idea you're seeing someone already.~" Aizen asked Ashido as he smiled.
Ashido looked at him. "Rukia Kuchiki. Can we go now please?" Ashido said to Aizen as he walked off.
Aizen stood there as he blinked. So shocked that Shinji tried to get Aizen's attention. Shinji sighed as he licked his finger & stuck it in Aizen's ear. Aizen screamed as he held onto his ear.
"What the hell, babe?! I was just thinking about…..something. Wait, where'd you come from?" Aizen asked Shinji as he tilted his head.
"Kitchen. Come on, you're going to miss breakfast again and I'll have to feed you when it's lunch time or something." Shinji said as he held onto Aizen's hand and the two walked off.
"I'm sorry dear. But I just met Squad ten's new lieutenant. He seems a little shy but that always happens to new lieutenants on their first day." Aizen told Shinji as he chuckled.
"Oh? And what's his name? Does Captain Hitsugaya know about this?" Shinji asked Aizen as the two walked into the kitchen.
Aizen blinked as he slapped his face & groaned. "Damn it! I forgot to ask for his name. I mean I was going to ask but then you came along and gave me a wet jelly!" Aizen said as he complained.
Shinji shook his head. "Calm down, hon. I'm sure someone who can tell he's new can show him around. Now grab something to eat so we can get our energy going." Shinji said as he smiled at Aizen and found an empty seat for them.
Aizen nodded as he did so. He couldn't find Ashido or Rukia in the kitchen. He sighed as he was about to sit down but he ended up seeing Ashido with Alice and Izaya instead. Aizen looked at his lover as Shinji was too busy getting food. Aizen tiptoed quietly over to them. Shinji barely even noticed. Aizen stood by them as he gave them a warm smile.
"Good morning, Captain Aizen. Have you met the new guy? His name is Ashido Kano and he's in squad ten. We're just about to have him meet them right now so they'll know he's new." Alice told him as she smiled.
"Ah yes so that's your name. My name's Sosuke Aizen and yes I'm a Captain." Aizen introduced himself as he smiled.
"Rukia is on her way, she's just talking to our big brother at this moment, Ashido. So go right ahead and meet your squad." Izaya told him as he smiled.
Ashido nodded as he followed Alice to meet his new squad. Aizen blinked as he looked at Izaya.
"So, he's seeing your sister? That's a shocker to me. But I'm happy for her!" Aizen told Izaya as he smiled.
Izaya smiled at Aizen. "They met at the carnival we went to last night. And believe it or not, Ashido was a soul reaper here. He got trapped in Hueco Mundo fighting hollows and the menos grande for centuries." Izaya explained to Aizen as he ate.
Aizen looked at Izaya as he nodded. "How did he escape then? That's my question." Aizen asked Izaya as he tilted his head. "And what's a 'carnival'? Maybe Shinji and I should go today." Aizen said as he chuckled.
"Ashido hasn't told us how he escaped and a carnival is a place that has mini rides, games, prizes, and food. Me, Rukia, Alice, Shuhei, and Gremmy went there last night. We all had an amazing time. Gremmy and I are going back there today because they're leaving tonight." Izaya told Aizen as he smiled.
Aizen nodded as he sighed. "I forgot, you're seeing that guy. Izaya listen to me for a second." Aizen sat across from him as he took off his glasses. "I'm sorry for being such an ass towards him. I too am still iffy about the sternritters, I just want you to be happy and I know you are a lot happy now, but I felt a lot comfortable when you were seeing Luppi. And I'm sorry he broke your heart. I really wish there was a way to fix this. But again, this is your choice on who you wanna date." Aizen told Izaya as he smiled at him.
Izaya nodded at him. "I'm doing a lot better now. I know I moved on so fast but you see, Gremmy had always liked me. The reason why he was teasing me was because well yeah he liked me. I didn't even know who he was. I only met the Femritters at the mall when I was with Luppi. Gremmy just came out of nowhere and yeah." Izaya explained to Aizen as he smiled.
"I know. Just please be safe. I know my former army won't snap and will fight us but I'm a little worried that your Quincy friends might." Aizen told him as he sighed.
"The Femritters won't though. Also they're in no contact with the others are some could be dead or just not around no more still. But Aizen, I'll be okay really. Gremmy has a roommate whom I wanna meet." Izaya told him as he smiled.
Aizen smiled back. "Alright. I just want you to be happy. Anyways I should be going back- Whoa! Shinji!" Aizen yelped..
Shinji rolled his eyes. "Your breakfast got cold so I reheated it up but I don't think it'll taste good now since you ditched me again." Shinji said as he huffed.
"I'm sorry my love. But hey, I was thinking, do you wanna go to the carnival today~? Please~? They're leaving tonight and I wanna have some fun with you.~" Aizen begged Shinji as he pouted.
Shinji stepped back not even knowing who Aizen is no more. He looked over at Izaya as Izaya smiled and stood up.
"He's your man.~ You're on your own." Izaya said as he threw away his dish and walked off to get ready.
Shinji sighed. "Fine. And it better be worth it because my friends have been telling me how boring as hell it is." Shinji said as he held onto Aizen's hand.
"I really hope this one will be a lot of fun, sweetie.~" Aizen said as he & Shinji walked off to their rooms.
Ashido had met his squad as Rangiku & Rukia were both excited to meet him. Toshiro had a small smile on his face as he noticed that Izaya wasn't in the kitchen any more. He then looked back at Rukia as he nodded to her. Rukia smiled at him.
"Izaya is just back in his room, Captain Hitsugaya. Nothing to worry about." Rukia said as she smiled at him.
"Oh? Lemme guess, he's going to the world of the living to see his date or something?" Toshiro asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"I think so? I should probably ask him." Rukia said as she smiled.
Little did they know, they had a certain squad eavesdropping throughout their whole conversation. Especially when Aizen and Izaya were talking about Gremmy.
"Sir, if you do this, Izaya will be devastated and heartbroken. Please don't do anything so reckless." A voice said as he tried to calm down his captain.
"I don't give a flying fuck. Izaya can come to me if he wants to betray us like this." He said as he stood up and stormed off.
The two lieutenants looked at each other in fear. They need to find a way to stop their bloodthirsty captain from hurting both Izaya & Gremmy. One of them looked at Rukia as he stood up and walked up to her. Izaya walked out of his room as he ran to the gates. Gremmy was at the park waiting for him as he leaned on the tree. Izaya came out of the gates as he smiled hugely at Gremmy and hugged him. Gremmy blushed and hugged him back.
"Whoa.~ You got here a little early. Well I think it's great cause the carnival had just opened and there's barely any people there. Shall we~?" Gremmy said as he smiled and held out his hand.
Izaya smiled as he held his hand and the two skipped to the carnival. Then Rukia and Ashido along with both Aizen & Shinji walked out of the gates as they panted.
"Lieutenant Ayasegawa, you and Lieutenant Madarame make sure that your captain will not come here and go after Izaya and Gremmy. I had no idea he was eavesdropping on our conversation this morning. But we promise you that Izaya isn't betraying us. If he were I'm sure we would all find out or his sister Rukia would've been stalking him to see what he had going on under his sleeves. But please, we don't want Izaya hurt again." Aizen told them as he sighed.
"We'll make sure he stays in the soul society, how long are you guys going to stay here?" Ikkaku asked them as he raised an eyebrow.
"Till Izaya is ready to go. You know how he is. He loves having fun here. But I'll find him and ask him." Rukia told them as she smiled.
Ikkaku & Yumichika both nodded as they walked back into the gates to make sure their captain wasn't planning to sneak out. Rukia & Ashido walked to the carnival as Aizen & Shinji followed them. Izaya & Gremmy were playing some games as they had already won a few prizes. Rukia smiled at them as she and Ashido walked to some other games to try out.
"Aizen, this place is small and quiet. What can we do first?" Shinji asked him as he looked around.
"That's because there's no one here just yet. It'll get crowded when it's evening time or so. Why not play some games? I don't trust the rides to be honest." Aizen told Shinji as he smiled at him.
"Alright. Let's try that one. Those prizes look cute to have." Shinji said as he walked over to the game as Aizen followed him.
Izaya had no idea that his sister was here as he was too busy playing the game to win a prize. Gremmy stood there happily as he turned back. He ended up seeing Rukia with Ashido as he smiled at them. They didn't notice as they went in a different direction. Then a loud "Bawahahahaha" voice was heard as it made Izaya jumped. He won the game as he turned around. Gremmy got close to him as he tried to see who made that loud ass sound. There on stage it was Don Kanoji as the smoke went off & he did a pose.
"Hello my little ghost hunters! I'm here to tell you all some really good news!" Don began as Izaya gasped seeing him.
"Love, let's see what he has to tell us! It might be exciting news~!" Izaya said happily as he grabbed his prize and ran to the stage.
Gremmy smiled as he followed him but he turned around as he heard one of the salesmen grunting. Gremmy tilted his head as he wasn't there any more at the game stands. Gremmy had a really bad feeling about this as he walked over to the game they just played as he looked around. Gremmy saw blood as he gasped then he got his mouth covered as a strong captain forced him down. Gremmy gasped as he tried to scream for help but the captain had his zanpakuto on his throat.
"Shut up! First I'm going to cut you up then I'm taking Izaya back to the soul society to teach him a lesson!" Kenpachi said as he had a very devilish grin on his face.
Gremmy kicked Kenpachi off him as he ran to Izaya. Izaya jumped as he looked at Gremmy.
"Gremmy! What's wrong? Are you okay?" Izaya tried to calm Gremmy down but Gremmy was having a panic attack.
Rukia noticed as she gasped and tried to warn Aizen. Aizen looked at her as he tilted his head. Rukia looked over as she saw Kenpachi charging up to Izaya and Gremmy. Rukia gasped and tried to warn Aizen again. Shinji noticed as he gasped.
"Aizen! Captain Zakari is here!" Shinji shouted in a panic.
Don stopped speaking as he noticed a scene was happening. Kenpachi slashed Gremmy from behind as Gremmy grunted and had fallen down as he was bleeding. Izaya gasped as screamed out Gremmy's name. Rukia, Ashido, Aizen, and Shinji stopped as a few people saw what happened and they ran off screaming. Kenpachi had a massive grin on his face as he kicked Gremmy aside. Izaya gasped seeing Gremmy on the ground as he growled at Kenpachi.
"That's what you get for fucking around with a former enemy, Kuchiki! I knew I shouldn't trust you when you first came to the soul society and you admitted that your former foster parent was a quincy! Now I get to reveal your true self!" Kenpachi said as he raised up his sword and tried to slash Izaya but Izaya dodged as he shunpoed into the air.
"I have no choice but to fight you! Now, sleep, AkemiSaki." Izaya said as his Zanpakuto had bright red roses forming. He had his focus on Kenpachi as Izaya flew down and slashed him across his chest.
Kenpachi winched as he was cut and he had a giant scar across his chest and stomach. Then bright red roses formed on the wound as Izaya landed down & took a deep breath. He stood by Gremmy who was badly injured. Yumichika, Ikkaku, and Yachiru were all hiding as they didn't want their captain to see them. Kenpachi grinned as he looked up to Izaya.
"What the fuck was that? You're in squad four and you babies can't even fight for shit. Pathetic as hell, Kuchiki!" Kenpachi said as he walked up to them with a grin on his face.
"Captain Zakari! Stand your ground! Are you insane?! You are hurting Izaya and his new partner! You have no damn right to hurt them like this!" Aizen shouted at Kenpachi as he panted.
"Huh? Not you too, Sosuke! Do you have any idea who this fool is?! Izaya is betraying us and is fucking around with them! You guys don't think he deserves some punishment?!" Kenpachi said as he raised his sword.
Rukia gasped as she moved Izaya and Gremmy out of the way but Ashido protected them as he grunted using his zanpakuto to stop Kenpachi.
"Ashido! Move! He's really strong and has no mercy! Ashido!" Rukia cried out as Kenpachi kicked him aside as he fainted.
Aizen and Shinji both gasped as they two tried to fight Kenpachi. Aizen held him down as he looked at Rukia.
"Go! Get out of here! We'll hold him down! Go, Rukia!" Aizen said as he groaned when Kenpachi grabbed him and threw him down.
Rukia teared up as she couldn't bear to see her friends even Ashido injured. Izaya held onto her hand as he nodded at her. Rukia nodded as she picked up Gremmy and they all ran out of the carnival. Kenpachi growled at them as he threw Shinji off him and ran after them.
"Izaya, we have to find a place to hide! I can sense him coming!" Rukia begged as Izaya nodded and called out to the Femritters.
Bambietta looked over as she gasped. Her friends noticed as they all ran up to them. They all gasped when they saw Gremmy bleeding to death.
"Please don't worry about me! Get Gremmy to safety! Hurry! The captain of squad eleven is coming!" Izaya begged as he and Rukia looked back as he was close by.
"Come on girls!" Bambietta called out to them as they held onto Gremmy and they all ran off.
Izaya stood up as he gave Kenpachi a glare. He put his hands up together as he was about to do a kido spell. "Hado number thirty-one, Shakkaho!" Izaya screamed out as it hit Kenpachi. He repeated the technique till it had hit Kenpachi many times. Rukia watched as she stood up very slowly.
"Sis! Go ahead and call the soul society! Tell them we have a mad man trying to kill six innocent lives in the world of the living." Izaya said as he used another kido spell.
"Hado number seventy-three, Sokatsui!" Izaya chanted as the spell hit Kenpachi once more.
There was smoke everywhere as Izaya panted. Rukia had made the call as she stood there in shock. Izaya looked a little close as he saw three figures walking up towards them. Izaya was about to perform another spell but Rukia stopped him.
"Hang on, little brother. Look. It's Yumichika, Ikkaku, and Yachiru." Rukia said as she waved her hands at them.
Yachiru ran up to Izaya as she hugged him, crying. Izaya blinked as he kneeled & hugged her back. Trying to confront her.
"We're so sorry you two. We really are. We tried to stop him but he threatened us. Izaya, we are deeply sorry." Yumichika said as he cried.
Izaya frowned as he picked up Yachiru and walked up to them and hugged them.
"You know, I would never betray you guys. Never." Izaya said to them as he gave them a weak smile, as he turned to Rukia.
Rukia walked up to him and put her hand on his shoulder. "Izaya is just experimenting with new love. He's a lot happy with Gremmy." Rukia told them as she smiled.
Both Yumichika and Ikkaku nodded as they looked back. Their captain had stood up as he twitched. Yachiru got out of Izaya's arms and tried to walk up to him but Yumichika stopped her.
"Experimenting with new love or not, you are still betraying us! Now get your skinny ass over here and let me finish you off, Kuchiki!" Kenpachi growled as he shunpoed towards Izaya.
Izaya was ready to do another kido spell but someone else had already handled it as it had Kenpachi in a hold. Kenpachi growled as he looked up and gasped when he saw Byakuya and the other captains in the world of the living. Both Izaya and Rukia looked up as they both gasped happily.
"Brother!" They both said happily as Byakuya landed down with the other captains.
Rangiku ran up to her friends as she hugged them crying. "Are you two okay?!" Rangiku asked them as she squished their faces.
"We're fine but…Captain Aizen, Shinji, and Ashido are not." Rukia said as she teared up.
Rangiku gasped, "Even the new guy!? Where is he?!" Rangiku asked but Toshiro stepped in.
"Rangiku, we'll worry about them later. Right now we must take Kenpachi back to the soul society for a court session." Toshiro said as he gave Kenpachi a glare.
Kenpachi glared at them as he growled. "Bite me!" He snarled.
Izaya got in between them as he sighed. "No. No more court sessions. Why can't I just be happy for once? Yes Gremmy is a sternritter. No, he has no interest in fighting you guys. Ever! Gremmy had always liked me even when I was seeing somebody else. Look, I promise you guys that I'm not betraying you. I have no interest in that. I would date some of you but half of you soul reapers already have partners. But just because I'm dating a former enemy doesn't mean they're manipulating me to betray you guys. Look at Ichigo and Uryu. Uryu's a quincy and Ichigo is a substitute soul reaper, yet they're still good friends, right?" Izaya said as he looked at them as Ichigo & Uryu smiled at him.
Izaya sighed as he looked at Kenpachi. "Look, I forgive you, but don't ever touch Gremmy again. Gremmy has his eyes and focuses on me. Nothing else. Not even fighting you. None of my friends do. I'm going to date our former enemy whether you guys like it or not. I'm not hurting anybody." Izaya explained as he sighed.
Kenpachi sighed as he looked up at Byakuya. Byakuya gave him a glare as he hugged Izaya.
"We're sorry Izaya. I actually had no idea you were dating him. What happened to you and Luppi?" Byakuya asked his younger brother.
"We broke up. But It's okay though. Really. Gremmy is keeping me happy and going. And you guys too." Izaya said as he smiled at Byakuya and Rukia as they both smiled at him.
Toshiro sighed. "Alright. No court session then. Izaya, where is Gremmy?" Toshiro asked him.
"The Femritters have him at their house. I should go over there and heal him since somebody gave him a big slash across his chest." Izaya explained as he glared at Kenpachi.
Kenpachi rolled his eyes as he looked away. Toshiro nodded.
"Alright. Rukia, you might as well come with us to help us look for Aizen, Shinji, and Ashido. Are they badly injured?" Toshiro asked Rukia.
Rukia wiped her tears away. "Yes, captain. They're-" Rukia stopped as she saw a tall figure walking towards them.
Ashido was carrying Aizen & Shinji on his back as he gave Rukia a warm smile. Rukia gasped as she ran up to him and gave him a kiss. Ashido kissed her back as he smiled.
"They're okay. Just badly injured but I was able to stop them from bleeding." Ashido said as he smiled.
"Good. Izaya, you go ahead and heal Gremmy. I'm pretty sure he needs you more than ever." Toshiro said as he smiled at him.
Izaya smiled back as he ran to the Femritters house. He knocked as he looked back. Yachiru was with him as she smiled.
"I'm sorry Kenny gave you a hard time, Izaya. I'm actually happy for you!" Yachiru said happily as she held his hand.
Izaya smiled back as Candice opened the door. She gasped as she let both Izaya & Yachiru in. Izaya walked in as he saw Nianzol by Gremmy. Nianzol turned around as he got up and walked Izaya over to Gremmy. Izaya gasped as he saw Gremmy's slashed chest. He got on his knees and began healing him.
"We did everything we can to stop the bleeding, but we figure that your healing abilities can work a little better." Bambietta told Izaya as she smiled sadly.
Izaya smiled at her as he was now healing Gremmy. "I had no idea. It just happened out of nowhere. I told him how happy I am with Gremmy. I told everyone. They seemed a bit iffy about it but that's on them not me. Gremmy, if you can hear me, you are making me a lot happier than ever and I'm sorry our date got ruined once again. I'll make it up to you when I can." Izaya said to Gremmy as he began to tear up.
Gremmy's wound was slowly healing as the blood had gone away. He slowly opened his eyes as he looked at Izaya and put his hand on his cheek. He then looked at Yachiru and gave her a warm smile. Yachiru smiled back at him. Izaya looked at him as he sniffled.
"You did everything you can to protect me. I thank you for that." Gremmy said as he smiled at Izaya.
Izaya looked at him as he and Gremmy looked each other in the eyes. Izaya leaned close and kissed Gremmy. Gremmy closed his eyes and kissed him back. Yachiru giggled as she closed her eyes. Izaya pulled back as he smiled at him. Gremmy smiled back.
"You two are welcome to stay here till everything has calmed down. We're going to buy dinner right now." Bambietta told them as she smiled.
"Yeah. I can take y'all to the guest room so please follow me." Yoko said to them as she smiled.
Both Izaya & Gremmy followed her to their guest room. Yachiru followed them also as Yoko opened their door.
"Here you guys go. Get some rest. I can tell it's been a rough day for y'all." Yoko told them as she smiled at them.
Gremmy smiled and nodded at her as he walked over to the bed. Izaya kneeled and hugged Yachiru again.
"I'll be okay, Yachhiru. Do you need help heading back home?" Izaya asked her as he stood up.
Yachiru nodded her head as Izaya opened the gate for her. Yachiru bowed as she walked in and headed back to the soul society. Izaya sighed as he walked over to the bed and laid down next to Gremmy.
"Izaya, are they going to be okay with you dating me?" Gremmy asked Izaya as he cuddled him.
"It's up to them, but at the end of the day, I'm happy to be dating you. That's all that matters, Gremmy." Izaya told him as he looked at him.
The two smiled at each other as they leaned and kissed again. The Femritters came back with dinner as Gremmy and Izaya got out of bed and headed to the kitchen to get some. Rukia stopped by as she dropped off Izaya's sleeping bag that had everything he needed.
"Thanks Rukia. How is everything back at the soul society?" Izaya asked his older sister as he smiled.
"Calm. Kenpachi is stuck in his room so Yachiru is hanging out with the ladies for a while. It's pretty damn adorable. And everyone kinda freaked out when they all found out that me and Ashido are dating." Rukia said as she chuckled.
Izaya giggled as he hugged her. "I'll be okay sis. I'll text you in the morning. Have a good night." Izaya told Rukia as he hugged her once more.
Rukia hugged him back as she smiled & walked back to the gates. Izaya smiled as he walked back inside. He & Gremmy ate their dinner, had dessert, they both walked back to their guest room as they washed up, changed into their PJs, and laid down as they were watching some movies.
Gremmy cuddled Izaya as Izaya smiled and hugged him back.
"Are you okay, love? Are you still sore?" Izaya asked Gremmy in concern.
"It's alright, I'm just…a little sad that we didn't get to have any alone time at the carnival. I'm sorry love." Gremmy said as he sighed.
Izaya smiled and kissed his cheek. "I'm sure we will. And it'll be the best alone time we ever had, love.~ And just letting you know, I'm a bottom.~" Izaya told him as he grinned.
Gremmy grinned also. "Perfect.~ I can't wait to hear you squeal and scream my name. You'll be begging for more.~" Gremmy giggled as he and Izaya made more jokes till their eyes got really heavy and they had fallen asleep.
Whew~! I was trying to recreate the fight between Kenpachi vs Gremmy from the manga but to be honest, I forgot how it all happened. But I hope y'all still liked Kenpachi being a madman as he is towards Izaya though. LOL.
