Zillo problems
Three and a half hours later. Fox stares at a hologram of Coruscant's top side using his finger to draw red lines on it to where the beast might go. Starting from the ship storage unit. A clone walks into the room and hands him a data pad, "How many more do you need, Commander?"
Fox mumbles, "Unless it takes this path..." another red line.
The clone walks over to the desk and plops it down, then comes back to him and states, "Sir, it's almost sundown. I don't think it's escaping any time soon."
Fox stops and looks at him, "I will change your name to Jinx if you're wrong."
"Just trying to keep an open mind."
Fox's desk com beeps and he runs over to it. Dr. Bulb's hologram appears, "It's loose and appears to be heading towards the senate building. I couldn't contain it. I'm sorry, Commander."
"It's not your fault, Ma'am, Doctor." Fox goes into panic mode and shouts into his com, "Everyone to the ships! Civie evacuations starts now!"
She turns off the call and the city under attack alarm goes off.
Everyone drops what they're doing to rush to the ships. Fox runs to the landing dock and orders a few pilots, "Take gunners and try to slow it down!"
"Yes, sir!" "Yes, sir!" "On it, Sir!" They jump in and rush to the scene first. They start shooting at it, trying to keep their distance while keeping up with it.
Fox's ship soon arrives and he spot the building sized lizard smashing it's way through the city from above. He notes the speed it's going and angrily shouts into his com, "Double time it!"
His men fly towards the people, jumping out in pairs of two to evacuate bystanders. After a few seconds a clone calls back, "Commander Fox, our weapons have no effect on it. We need reinforcements!"
"I'll see who I can get." he taps his com again, "This is Commander Fox calling General's Windu and Kenobi. Come in Sirs."
Windu answers his com, "What is it Commander Fox?"
"I have men trying to slow down the Zillo beast, but they need reinforcements."
Windu asks, "Are all your men are trying to slow it down?"
Fox answers, "No, sir. I'm also handling evacuations. I don't have enough men for either. It's moving faster than our ships can fly!"
Windu orders, "Because of the situation, we can't spare anyone either, Commander. You'll have to do with what you have."
"Understood, sir." he coms his men, "We're on our own." he hangs up and jumps out to help evacuate a family, barking for them to move it or loose it.
After what seemed like an eternity of moving people, Fox looks up and sees a handful of ships fly over and past him. Some were carrying tank walkers with stun cannons. He figures that that was why Windu couldn't spare anyone and continued his work. A chunk of building breaks off and he quickly dodges it, saving someone else as he tackled them to safety. He taps his com, "Commander Rex, what's going on? Where are you?"
Rex lifts his com to his face, answering as the ship he's in swung a bit, "I'm with the generals delivering stun cannons and missiles to the senate. You should see the size of this thing, Fox! You're men would love it."
"They already hate it. Is any of the other Commanders on Coruscant?"
"Bly's probably still here."
Fox hangs up on him and contacts Bly, "Bly, Where are you?"
Bly drags a small child away from the falling concrete, puts him in a safe spot, then answers back, "On the edges of level four hundred sixty-seven. I was about to find out why the sirens were going off when buildings started falling. What's going on up there?"
"Get your men and help evacuate civies now! You'll see for yourself when you get here." Fox hangs up and gets back to work.
Fox hears small explosions twenty minutes later. He coms his pilot, "Shucks, what's going on up there!?"
The pilot answers, "They're launching green gas at the Zillo, Sir."
Fox remembers what Dr. Bulb said about the beast's weakness. He looks up at a flag and notes which way it's blowing. He realizes that everyone in a five kilometer radius is going to get fuel poisoning, or bust in to flame if they turn on a stove. He taps his com again and orders, "Redirect all troops to evacuate A-37 southeast. We need to get everyone out of the toxic zone now!"
A ship picks him up along with others and quickly hurries towards the gas.
Fox sits down exhausted with a baby in his lap. His hand pressed limply on the re-breather on her tiny face. Her skin looking white with red splotches here and there. Bly comes over and sits next to him, "We did it! I can't feel my feet."
Fox breathes out and looks at him tiredly, "I need to have a word with the Chancellor in the morning."
Bly looks up at the sunrise, then jokes tiredly, "Good morning, Fox."
Fox weakly glares at him through the helmet, "No."
Bly looks down at the baby, "Think she'll be okay?"
Fox looks down at the baby, "...I'm holding a baby?"
Bly starts laughing and slowly flops onto the ground, asleep.
Fox looks at him and snorts, "Traitor."
A pair of medics from a nearby hospital come over and take the baby from him. Fox flops over on Bly and falls asleep. After a minute, their men come over and flop on top of them, creating an armored cuddle pile. Other piles started appearing in any spot they could find. Even Windu's and Anakin's men joined in the cuddling. This drastically slowed moving the giant corpse off the Senate's front lawn.
A few days later. Fox comes into Palpatine's office and hands him a report. Palpatine looks up in mild surprise, "Normally you send reports directly to my computer. I take this is a more personal visit?"
Fox takes off his helmet, showing off his scarred face as he placed it on the desk, "Yes, sir. This is a list of who died in the attack. Was bringing it here really worth this, sir?"
He sighs as he sets the report on the desk, "I am only human, Fox. And because I'm human, I will make an err in judgment. I realize how much this hurts you."
Fox's jaw clenches in anger before asking, "Hurts me? It was brought on your orders and I couldn't stop it! Even the Jedi tried to talk sense into you! I can't obey orders if I have to double guess every decision you make! I can't do this." he crosses his arms, tucking his fists into his elbows as he refused to look at him.
Palpatine gets up and comes around the desk, "Have you ever made a mistake, Commander?"
Fox looks him in the eyes, then turns his face away, "I paid for it."
Palpatine raises a brow, "And I haven't?"
Fox faces him and snaps, "People are dead! You're still alive! That thing wanted you! Do you really think that was worth it!?"
He sighs, face solemn, "It pains me to hear you say that, Fox. The people that died were my responsibility, more so then they were yours. All I can do now is fix the damages and rebuild the Republic's trust. Which I might add, is not an easy feat. Which is something I will need your help with. I truly am sorry, my boy."
Fox puts his helmet back on and stand straight, "It's Commander Fox." moment's pause, "Sir." then leaves.
Palpatine frowns, then sits back down. Episode ends.
