As the Team Rocket getaway vehicle sped on, Ruby, Daisy and Tracey managed to get out of the Gym and onto the road, just in time to see the hover-car disappear around the corner.

"Quick! We have to follow them!" said Daisy resolutely.

"But how can we?" argued Ruby. "They're already too far ahead of us!"

"Hey, wait! I've got an idea!" said Tracey excitedly.

A few minutes later, they were all bundled in Daisy's car, with Daisy in the driving seat, Ruby next to her, and Tracey in the back passenger seat, with a large water-filled container next to him. Inside the container was Caserin, with Tracey's idea being that Caserin could point them in the direction that Luverin was being taken.

"Okay, Caserin, you'll have to be brave for Luverin, as that's the only way we can get her back," said Ruby, giving the lovesick Luvdisc a much needed pep talk. "If you can concentrate extra hard, you can help us find and rescue her. What do you say?"

"Luvdisc!" said Caserin, feeling considerably encouraged by Ruby's words, before he closed his eyes and concentrated, his body turning westwards.

"He's pointing to the west! Hurry Daisy!" ordered Ruby, who could not understand why her daughter had not yet started up the car.

"Give me a second, I have to put on my action gloves," said Daisy, who was pulling on some cool-looking driver gloves.

"Oh, for heaven's sake! Not the ones from that movie of yours!" groaned Ruby in exasperation.

Daisy grinned as she got the gloves on, before whipping out a cool pair of shades, which she placed over her eyes. "Get ready, Mom! Cause High Speed Hannah's back in town!"

"High Speed Hannah? What in the world is Daisy talking about?" asked Tracey, his eyes wide as he clearly thought that Daisy had lost her mind.

"Ahem, it's the character from her movie," explained an embarrassed Ruby. "She's a real method actress."

"Let's put this baby in high gear!" cried Daisy, slipping into character, as she put her foot to the pedal. With a loud screech from the spinning tyres, the car went speeding along the road in pursuit of Team Rocket and the captive Luverin...

Feeling highly gleeful over their capture of Luverin, Cassidy and Butch were still driving along the road, which was now taking them along the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean.

"We sure left those dummies in the dust," smirked Butch from behind the steering wheel.

Cassidy nodded and glanced at the monitor screen, checking for any sign of pursuit. To her annoyance, she spotted Daisy's car, which was racing behind them and catching up fast!

"Urk, dummy alert!" she snorted, directing Butch's attention to the screen.

"But how?" exclaimed Butch in disbelief, as the gap between the two vehicles became shorter and shorter.

"Never mind how!" snapped Cassidy. "Come on, gun it!"

"I'll do better than that," grinned Butch, as he hit a switch and sent the hovercar speeding forwards like a rocket. "Heh heh heh! This baby's aerodynamic! Within seconds, those slowpokes will be eating gravel!"

"Yeah, well, you better be right," said Cassidy skeptically, as she saw that the car chasing them was still on their tail.

However fast the Team Rocket getaway vehicle was, it was still not quite as fast as Daisy's car, and it seemed that 'High Speed Hannah' was quite the racer when she needed to be.

"Come on, Daisy! You can catch them!" said Ruby encouragingly.

"Hey, I'm all over it, Mom," said Daisy, as she increased her speed, and the two vehicles came along side each other, much to Team Rocket's astonishment.

"Hey, you clowns, give back our Luverin right now!" Ruby bellowed at Cassidy and Butch.

But the surprised Team Rocket never got a chance to respond, as Daisy's car sped right past the villain's vehicle and took the lead!

"Yes! We've won!" declared Daisy smugly, having gotten completely carried away with all the high speed driving.

"What do you mean we've won?" retorted Ruby. "This is not a race, Daisy! We have to stop those crooks!"

"Oh yeah," said Daisy sheepishly, as she put her foot to the brake and brought the car to a skidding halt, completely blocking the road.

"There, that should stop those villains in their tracks," said Daisy.

But to the utter dismay of everyone in the car, they saw the Team Rocket vehicle turn and fly right over the edge of the cliff, landing on top of the water with a loud splash!

"See ya later, losers! Bye bye!" laughed Cassidy, as the vehicle began speeding along the water like a hovercraft and out to sea.

"Oh bother! No-one said that thing could move on water as well as the roads!" groaned Ruby as they watched Team Rocket vanish into the distance.

"We need to find a boat and fast!" said Tracey. "I'll check the docks."

"Or we can use the inflatable boat I have in the car trunk," suggested Daisy.

"But that would take ages to inflate," said Ruby. "No, I have a better idea."

Pulling out a Poké Ball, Ruby opened the device up, and Konga emerged in the water with an enthusiastic roar, his large head coming alongside the edge of the cliff.

"Quick everyone, clamber onto Konga's back!" instructed Ruby, and within seconds, they were all sitting on the giant Feraligatr's back, with Tracey carrying the water container with Caserin inside.

"Okay, Konga! Follow that craft!" commanded Ruby, pointing in the direction that Team Rocket had gone.

"Gatr!" cried Konga, before it began swimming through the sea at full speed, with its passengers holding tightly on to its red spines, trying hard not to fall off and crash into the water.

"Wow! Konga sure is a fast swimmer," said Tracey in awe.

"Yes, I'm glad I remembered to grab some Poké Balls to take with me for this chase," said Ruby.

As Konga darted across the water, they soon spotted Team Rocket in the distance, heading towards a series of small rocky islands.

"It looks like they're heading for that island there, with a tunnel running though it," said Tracey, pointing at one of the larger isles.

"Let's see if we can stop them before they get there," said Ruby. "Give it all you've got, Konga!"

Summoning all its strength, Konga charged forwards, until the Team Rocket hovercraft was directly under its nose. Then, upon a command from Ruby, Konga opened its big jaws and snapped its sharp teeth right into the back of the vehicle, stopping Team Rocket dead in their tracks!

"Gah! What's going on?" cried Butch, as he and Cassidy lurched forward in their seats, their safety belts preventing them from being sent flying through the front window and into the sea.

"It's that oversized reptile again!" yelled Cassidy. "It's got us in its jaws!"

With its target firmly in its grip, the Feraligatr began shaking its head back and forth, before releasing its hold and sending the hovercraft crashing onto the rocky shores of one of the smaller islands. As Cassidy and Butch staggered out of the now wrecked vehicle, Konga pulled alongside, enabling Ruby, Daisy and Tracey to clamber off onto the bank.

"Good work, Konga," smiled Ruby. "You take a break now. We'll handle the rest."

Ruby recalled Konga back into its Poké Ball, then she and the others darted over to confront the dishevelled looking Team Rocket.

"Okay, you jerks, it's the end of the line for you," said Daisy, still in 'High Speed Hannah' mood.

"That's what you think, sister," snarled Butch, as he pulled out a couple of spherical-shaped devices from his belt and threw them at Ruby, Daisy and Tracey.

"Uh-oh, looks like they want a battle," said Ruby, assuming that the devices were Poké Balls.

But as the metal balls hit the ground, rather than opening up to release a Pokémon for battle, they instead exploded and dispelled a thick green gas that enveloped the three trainers, causing them to cough and sputter.

"Oh no, it's gas!" spluttered Tracey, who felt consciousness slipping away fast.

"No! Gotta keep awake..." Ruby tried to say, before she, Tracey and Daisy passed out and crumpled to the ground.

"Slick move there, Butch," chuckled Cassidy as the two villains brushed themselves off and surveyed their unconscious adversaries. "That showed them a thing or two."

"Yeah, and look there! We now have the other Luvdisc too," said Butch, pointing at the container with Caserin in. "Now we've got both of them, that could double Doctor Namba's chances of success."

"You're right," agreed Cassidy. "Then not only will we be known as the ones who helped to rid the world of love, we're bound to land ourselves a big promotion. Now, let's take our 'guests' into our base and make them feel right at home!"
