Chapter 22
"Enough mother, you know nothing about Drake and about the dragons so back off." I yell storming out of the room. I know that it is not Drake upstairs but I'm curious as to who it might be. She had no right to say that just wait till she finds out…
Not that she will anytime soon if I had anything to do with it. As I make upstairs I prep myself.
When I reach the receiving room I begin to feel a small amount of dread enter my system. Once I walk into the room all of it vanishes I see it's just my guard from the dragons.
"Guards leave, I wish to talk alone."
As the guards leave the room I see my Dragon companion start to relax.
"Milady, there is a problem in which you are needed to take of." The guard says while bowing
"What has happened?"
"The rogue wolves have managed to convince some of the elves to their side. They are about to lead an attack within the next few days. We will need you there Milady. Lord Drake knows of this and has taken the precautions to ensure Sasha's safety should they attack there as well. "
"Thank you for letting me know. Tell Drake that I'll head off the attack from this body. I will get in touch with you when there is a plan."
"Yes Milady." The guard says bowing and leaving.
I turn back and head towards the War room. Great… they couldn't have waited until a better time. Of course not that would be stupid. Stupid wolves, worst time it's probably for the baby. It's not even born yet the idiots. They can't kidnap something that won't be born for another few months. Not like that would make much difference. I sigh as I reach the door. Totally don't want to do this.
"Father! Important news." I say striding into the room. Seems like everyone is still in here.
"What is it Leah?" Harry asks as he looks up from a map that is on the middle of the table.
"It seems your war general is somewhat correct. The rogue wolves have managed to convince several elves and plan an attack within the next 2 days. It would be best to move mother to somewhere more secure. .."
"How reliable is this information Leah? You know I'm still partial to trusting the Dragons, I don't believe they have our best interests as you do. But, you do know Drake the best and since he is next in line for the throne it would be amazing to have that connection."
"Yes father="
"NO, Leah will have nothing to do with him! I forbid it." Nate interrupts while glancing at my mother.
"I agree with Nate. You spend too much time in his company you are a happily married woman and should be having a child on the way not engaging in war.
"No mother and Nate you will not control me. I've told you time and time again he has my trust. Nate you need to remember your place. "I say while flashing my eyes at him. This is ridiculous wish I could end this farce already. I love him like a brother and understand the need to keep him around but uggh my doppelganger is making my life here so much more difficult.
"Yes of course love, I apologize that was rude of me." Nate says looking away guilty
"What did you just do Leah?" My mother says sensing as though something just happened.
"No mother, you must be imagining things." I glance away before she can see my eyes. Damn they are taking forever to change back from the flashing. Should have used less magic in it.
"Leah my dear since you know more about the situation than I can you coordinate the forces with Capitan Mark on this? I will hide you mother and sister in a safe location once I've finished my meeting. Of course Nate will be with you, being your husband doesn't mean he still can't protect your body my dear." Harry says cutting off any objection that I have. God why did Nate have to be here.
"Of course father." I say bowing and turning towards the nearest guard. "Please bring Captain Mark to me. I will meet him in the study."
"Not here in the war room milady? " The guard ask with a puzzled look
"No not here to many ears and this is not war it's an attack on the keep. Only need to come up with a defensive strategy." I tell him hoping he would get that I didn't want everyone panicked and tipping off the enemy spies.
