By the rules of fanfiction, I must have a chapter here, soooo I wrote a mini Jazz/Remus one shot below, so I hope it kinda sorta makes up for my absence! Thank you guys for understanding!
"Soooo, why don't you two go for a walk?" said Sirius, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Jazz shot him a look, and he winked back at her. Remus looked at their exchange in confusion.
"Do you… um, know what's happening?" he whispered to James. James shook his head, but his eyes were sparkling with mischief, and his smile gave it away that he was lying.
"Sirius, shut up!" hissed Jazz. He grinned cheekily at her, and she rolled her eyes. Oh why did she tell James and Sirius about her crush on Remus? Trusting them was not a wise move.
"No, really!" said Sirius. "Jazz, it's Christmas in a few days, what do you think we're planning?"
"Last time you guys planned a 'surprise' Christmas party, half the people there ended up being drunk."
"That's the fun of it! And it was their choice…"
"No it wasn't, you spiked the butterbeer!"
"So?"
"Ugh!"
"Ugh yourself." Jazz knew she was going to lose this battle.
"So you nerds go for a walk, and be sure to follow the envelopes."
"What?"
Remus's heart was thumping. Alone with Jazz? Wonderful, more time to make a fool of himself. Just last morning had he spilt his pumpkin juice on her. Remus shook his head. Lately, he didn't know what was wrong with him. He seemed so… nervous around Jasmine, that it didn't even make any sense. Was it possible that he… no, no it couldn't be. He was probably sick. Yes, that had to be it.
"Follow the envelopes!" reminded Sirius.
"Oh, I see another one!" said Jazz, pointing towards a white envelope, taped along the corridor. Apparently, Sirius had set up a treasure hunt for the two, and the pair of best friends were having fun, searching for envelopes that had a note and a prize inside. Jazz ran and grabbed the envelope. She slowly opened it. Inside, it contained a Post-it note, and a chocolate frog.
"Jazz, you wouldn't…" said Remus, but he was grinning. He'd have to thank Sirius for this later.
"Oh, yes I would!" said Jazz, taking a bite of the sweet. Remus gasped in mock horror. Jazz rolled her eyes.
"Fine, Moony, you can have the rest," she said, throwing the chocolate at him. he caught it, and popped it into his mouth.
"Urrrm, dewishous," he said, mouth full of chocolate. Jazz laughed; sound clear as a bell.
"Ooh! Another one!" Jazz turned a corridor, and Remus ran to catch up with her.
"Wait, but there's nothing in here…" said Remus. Jazz looked at in confusion.
"Oh well. I think I see another one, maybe he just forgot." She tried to take a step. She tugged at her feet, but they wouldn't move. Slowly, she looked up. "Remus, why are my feet stuck to the GROUND?!"
"I don't know! Mine are too!"
"Wha-" started Jazz, but she was interrupted.
"Ohhhh," said Remus, looking up. Jazz followed his gaze. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Um, what?" Above them, barely noticeable, was a small piece of mistletoe. "It's just mistletoe, why can't we move." Remus scratched his head, looking guilty.
"Yeah, about that…"
"What are you not telling me, Lupin," said Jazz threateningly.
"It's charmed. The people under it are stuck until they um, kiss," mumbled Remus, a bright blush spreading across his face.
"What!" shrieked Jazz. "Remus!"
"I'm sorry! I didn't know about it." Jazz crossed her arms over her chest. "Yeah? Then who gave Sirius the charm for it?" Remus's face turned even redder. Jazz sighed.
"Well, if we want to leave, and kill Sirius, I'm guessing we'll just have to… you know," she finished weakly, her face feeling hot. She stepped forward, and without warning, placed her lips on Remus's. Remus was taken aback. Her lips were soft, and slightly chapped. He slid his arms around her waist, drawing her closer. She sighed. It was unreal; perfect. Remus stepped back, breaking the kiss. He stared at her in silence. What had just happened?
"I love you," he said. The surprise was visible in Jazz's eyes, but the love was unspoken but there.
"Welllll," she said, twirling her hair, smiling slightly. Remus felt a rush of adrenaline course through him. He stepped closer to her.
Do I really want to do this? I could hurt her! spoke his conscience. Well, no going back no. He pushed into the wall, and slammed his lips against hers. She was shocked, not moving. His hands slid in her hair, and suddenly she responded to the kiss with so much passion, they both fell on the floor, chuckling at their stupidity.
"Maybe we should see what the envelope says now," said Jazz, reaching for the paper.
"Nothing," said Remus. Jazz flipped it over.
You're welcome, lovey-doves,
-Uncle Padfoot.
Jazz frowned at it. "Uncle?" Remus looked at her. They both burst out in laughter.
Well there it was! Not the best but, it'll do. I'm sorry! I love you guys! Review, please!
