Kayo watched in horror as The Grand Fisher's green tendrils swallowed Scott up whole and with a roar rush of air they disappeared.

'Scott? Gordon? Alan? Where are you?'

As Jeff, Virgil and John stumbled onto the path Kayo cursed under her breath. With both youngest brothers still unconscious at her feet and Scott goodness knew where, she didn't have time to deal with the others.

Narrowing her eyes and pointing at the small group, Kayo let what little powers she still had left flow and the three men dropped gently to the ground, as unconscious as Gordon and Alan were.

'You all can just sleep for a while.'

She needed to find Scott.

Elsewhere in the city Kyrano and Rigby were waiting. They knew The Grand Fisher was around, but so far there had been no sign of it. Kyrano had no concerns waiting, he was master at that game, but Wayne was chafing at the delay in restoring Tanusha to her rightful place.

A low growl was carried on the air and Wayne smiled grimly, placing a hand on his Zanpakuto ready. He sighed in satisfaction.

'And so it begins.'

Kyrano merely inclined his head in response before moving to stand next to him. They had an excellent view into the city to see what happened next.

The city was full of people. Many turned as the wind increased and before long the streets were full of running people, screaming about a tornado. Since humans couldn't see Hollows or Soul Reapers, none of them could see what Wayne and Kyrano could.

A writhing mass of green tendrils a swarmed around The Grand Fisher as it ran on all fours after Scott, and the man was running away from it. Wayne smirked. The plan to let the Hollow kill Scott and then he kill the Hollow looked set to be successful.

Scott didn't have time to process that they were now in the city, he needed to get the Hollow out of the streets and into the Square where there would be more room for manoeuvring and hopefully people would actually get out of their way.

But the town square was busier than he anticipated. Several buses stood ready, cars and people milled around and Scott said a quick prayer to his Mom that no one else would get hurt in the battle that was about to commence. He didn't have time to do much else, and he wished his brothers as International Rescue were here to get everyone out safely.

The Grand Fisher had only one objective – Get Scott Tracy – and because of that any souls that got in its way were unceremoniously shoved aside. It ignored the screams and the call of other souls. No one here was as pure as its prey, and it had waited many, many years for this!

As Scott turned a corner it shot out some tendrils but Scott was ready for them, quickly slicing through them and continuing to run. It enraged the Hollow, and as they ran the surrounding buildings, sidewalks and people were caught up and tossed aside.

Eventually Scott made it into the square proper, where he turned around to face the Hollow. He wasn't quick enough to avoid being snagged by his ankle and he was tossed into the air, straight through the window of a shop in the Mall, skidding down an isle on his back. He carried on through the wall into the food court where people scrabbled to get out of the way.

Standing up, it amazed Scott that no one could see him. He completely failed to see Conrad in the background as he turned to run to the window.

Conrad watched with a smirk on his face. This was better than he had intended. He watched as Scott flew towards the window, slicing through the sign the Hollow had thrown and standing his ground, chopping and slicing through the tendrils The Grand Fisher was sending.

Eventually the Hollow stopped and Scott, with a last look at the crowd in the restaurant, let out a yell and leapt through the window after the Hollow.
