It was a new day for Jake, as he woke up feeling excited that he didn't have to wake up super early for school. He yawned before getting out of bed, not even bothering to put on clothes because he wasn't going out today. He went to the kitchen to make himself some breakfast, since his parents had already left the house to go to work, leaving only him and big brother Matt home alone.
While making breakfast, Matt entered the kitchen wearing only his boxers and sat down at the table.
"Morning, little bro," said Matt.
"Morning, Matt," said Jake.
"What are you making?" asked Matt.
"The usual. You want some?" asked Jake.
"Nah. I'll make my own stuff later," said Matt.
Once Jake made his breakfast, he sat down next to his brother and the two started talking about Christmas.
"So, what are you getting for Christmas?" asked Jake.
"I don't know. Probably some gift cards or something. Nothing fancy. And I already know what you're getting for Christmas, so there's no point in asking you." said Matt.
"Actually, there's something else that I want for Christmas," said Jake.
"What? Kissing your boyfriend under the mistletoe? Come on, be original." said Matt.
"Dude, Lucas already said that to me. It's not that. I want to spend Christmas with Lucas' family." said Jake.
"Why?" asked Matt.
"Because he's basically my brother at this point and you're dating his sister. Besides, it's not like we live near any of our other family members," said Jake.
"You do make a point. You're going to have to ask Mom and Dad first," said Matt.
"I know. I'll do it when they get home," said Jake.
"And now that I think about it, I'm not sure you're on Santa's Nice List this year," said Matt.
"What? How come?" asked Jake.
"I don't think Santa would be a big fan of constant nudity," said Matt.
"I don't believe that," said Jake.
"Well, Santa could think that it's naughty for you to be butt naked all the time," said Matt.
"If that's what Santa thinks, he can suck my toes and my butt," said Jake.
After breakfast, Jake spent most of the day with Matt as he wanted to spend as much time as he could with him before he eventually went off to college. The two brothers mainly played some video games, watched a movie, and ranted about their school lives to each other.
Eventually, Jake's parents, Mark and Zoey, got home from work and were very pleased to see that their kids didn't tear up the house while they were gone. And now that his parents were home, this gave Jake the perfect opportunity to ask them about Lucas' Christmas idea.
"Mom? Dad? Can I ask you something?" asked Jake.
"Sure, son. What is it?" replied Mark.
"Well, Christmas is coming up real soon and Lucas thought it would be a cool idea if we spent Christmas at his house with his family. So, could we do that, please?" said Jake.
"Hmmm. We didn't exactly have concrete plans for Christmas so…why not?" said Zoey.
"Really? I get to spend Christmas with Lucas?" an excited Jake asked.
"You sure do," said Mark.
Jake then quickly hugged his parents and said, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is going to be the best Christmas ever!"
"Even more than the one you had last year?" asked Zoey.
"Even more," said Jake.
Later that night, Jake was on the phone with Lucas and told him the good news.
"Dude, that's awesome! I'm really glad you can come over because Christmas with my family can get kind of lonely for me," said Lucas.
"Lonely? You got your whole family there, how is that lonely?" asked Jake.
"It's lonely because none of my family members share the same interests as I do, and it makes talking with them awkward. With you there, I won't be so miserable," said Lucas.
"Yeah, but wearing clothes the whole time is going to be miserable," said Jake.
"I know but what can we do? I don't want to be labeled a weirdo by my own family. I get called that enough in school." said Lucas.
"Well, Lucas, you may be a weirdo but you're an awesome weirdo in my book," said Jake.
"Same to you," said Lucas.
"Thanks. So, what are we going to do next?" asked Jake.
"We could go to the movies or something," said Lucas.
"What would we even watch?" asked Jake.
"I don't think it matters. I guess that 'Eragon' movie." said Lucas.
"Sure. It has dragons so maybe it'll be cool," said Jake.
"Maybe. Well, I got to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow." said Lucas.
"Cool. Okay, bye," said Jake.
"Bye," Lucas said before hanging up the phone.
Jake put down the phone and went to his bedroom to go to bed. The one thing that sucked about winter was that he couldn't sleep with no bed sheets anymore unless he wanted to freeze. So, he had to bundle himself up in blankets instead.
But while thinking about Lucas, he thought about Steven too. Maybe Steven could come over for a sleepover. They pretty much lived together at Camp Maverick for a week, so a sleepover wouldn't be too weird. In fact, why not have all his friends over for a sleepover at his place? It would be like Camp Maverick all over again.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. I know, it's been 6 long months since the last chapter. I've been doing other stories (mainly Total Drama) instead and I wanted to get back to this story eventually. The next chapter will feature solely Bill, as I want to expand his character a little bit. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Bye for now and stay safe.
