Hey guys, sorry for the long wait! (Well...overly long wait). Anyways, I want to thank everyone for the support I have been getting as it means soooo much to me that not even words can describe it.

A few things I want you guys to answer before we get started with the next chapter:

(Bearing in mind that this story will only have a maximum of about 20 chapters) How many more chapters should I write until the Luvendan get involved?

What do you want to see in this story? (I'm open to ANY suggestions - though I ship Harcooper AND NOT Janto [They're cute and all but I ultimately prefer Gwen and Jack as a couple] Sorry about that).

This isn't a question. I just want to say: All chapters from now on will be Ellie's P.O.V unless it says otherwise.

2 Weeks later…

After two weeks of what I can articulate as an 'uneventful' experience, Dad had finally put my 'home-schooling' into place. Or should I say it was 'hub-schooling'. There hasn't been any major rift activity, no rogue Weevils and nothing to do except work. I had run out of any excuses I had to stop and don't get me wrong, I didn't mind doing the school work but it's different when you know about the diverse things in the world, like the rift for example. And the fact I have powers…

"Dad, please can I take a break?" I asked, walking into the main part of the hub. "I've done so much already already and it's only 10 o'clock." I said, giving him my puppy dog eyes.

"Show me what you've done." He alleged.

I ran back to my room and picked up a wodge of paper and several textbooks before making my way back to Jack who was now in his office.

"See?" I said, plonking my work down onto his desk.

He looked shocked before rummaging through to see how much I'd actually done.

"That's a lot." He alleged in a surprised manner.

"I know." I said with satisfaction. "Now can I take a break?"

Jack nodded and I ran out of the room jumping up and down in happiness.

I aimlessly walked around the hub, not quite sure what I was doing with myself. I decided to join Gwen and Tosh who were at the computers chatting.

"Hey." I said, taking a seat next to them.

"Does Jack know you aren't doing your work?" Tosh asked.

"Yeah. I've finished it anyway so my day is now school free." I explained happily.

"Smart ass." Owen muttered from the medical bay.

I turned around to face him.

"Says the Doctor who knows the answers to 'everything'." I whispered to Tosh and Gwen.

"Last I checked, the Doctor does know everything about everything." We turn to see my dad walking into the room. "Owen, on the other hand, does not."

We all burst out laughing.

"Nice one Dad." I commented.

I couldn't help but notice in the corner of my eye Gwen, who was obviously eyeing up Jack. I'm surprised no-one else noticed as she wasn't being very discreet about it.

Everyone got back to what they were doing and I followed Gwen until we were alone.

"I saw you." I said, looking around to make sure no-one was near.

"What do you mean: You saw me?" Gwen questioned.

"The way you looked at Jack. It's blatantly obvious that you like him – and I mean more than friends." I commented.

"Ellie, me and your dad-"

"Say no more. I don't care who you like and I certainly don't care who Dad likes. He deserves someone in his life and I think you're the perfect person for him." I said sweetly.

"Thank you Ellie. But I still need him to notice me." Gwen sighed.

"No!" I interjected. "You don't. Believe me, he notices you. Just, please just be you and act as though this conversation never happened.

Gwen smiled.

"And I won't tell anyone. Your secrets safe with me."

The rest of the day went rather quickly and I couldn't help but notice the looks that both Jack and Gwen were giving each other. I felt as though I needed to work my magic and get the two of them to realise exactly what it was they both had in front of them.

I got Ianto to help me out and together, we were able to create a two person meal in one of the back rooms.

Ianto was to get Gwen and I was to get Dad. Then we were to meet at the table we had set for them.

"Dad!" I said, walking into his office.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Can you come with me a minute?" I asked sweetly.

"Uh, sure. You ok?" He asked, a little concerned.

"Me!? I'm fine. But please, can you come with me?" I asked.

He nodded before following me.

Just as we were about to enter the room the alarm sounded and Tosh called us all in urgently.

Jack ran off and I reluctantly followed.

I saw Ianto stood with Gwen and he gave me an apologetic look.

'We'll try again later' he said silently as I read his lips. I nodded in agreement.

"Guys, we have a serious problem." Tosh said.

We all stayed silent.

"It's the Luvendan. They're close." She explained.

Everyone turned to me and my mouth dropped.
