Wow, I never did label this as complete. I reread it after getting a new review and it feels complete to me. But because ChocolateChipCookie26 was so kind to review and ask if it was over I'll do one more chapter as my epilogue and this will now be complete.

One year later the seven castaways assembled at their table and toasted their anniversary.

"Never thought I'd say this but here's to a grand year on our island" Skipper said and raised his glass.

The other six raised their glasses as well. "Yes, I'd also like to toast to the newest castaway who was born a few hours ago" Gilligan cut in and MaryAnn gently rocked her newborn.

Willy Gilligan couldn't believe the precious baby girl in his wife's arms belonged to him. But then, a lot had happened in the fifteen years on the island. He learned he was gifted with animals and that not every man was kind and good.

Gilligan also learned he was stronger and smarter than he believed he was and was capable of loving a woman. But MaryAnn Summers was no ordinary woman to him. She was his best friend that was at times as childish as he was.

Skipper had married them when they figured out she was pregnant. Now, on the eve of their return anniversary, their new baby girl lay content in her mother's arms.

"So what is her name?" Ginger asked and Gilligan looked a little nervous so MaryAnn took his hand.

"Tell them Willy. I told you already it was a cute name and I like how unique it is" MaryAnn urged him.

"Okay" he agreed and took a deep breath. "Castaways I'd like to introduce to you all Minnow Skipper Gilligan" he said and everyone looked a little stunned.

"Minnow?" Ginger asked skeptically and both MaryAnn and Willy Gilligan smiled. Gilligan took his baby gently and stood up. The baby remained asleep and he smiled lovingly at her.

"Yes Ginger. When I saw my baby I knew her name should be Minnow because she never would have been born if it weren't for the SS Minnow one and two. I know living on this island for fifteen years wasn't anyone's plan but I for one am grateful. I grew up a lot on this island and I made memories and friendships I'll never forget" he said.

"When Willy told me that I fell in love with baby Minnow as well. I told you all I only joined here to escape a fixed marriage. I just thought it was a simple little cruise that I could enjoy my last three hours of freedom on. I ended up trapped with six strangers who become my family" MaryAnn piped in.

"Since you put it that way I think it's a darling name" Ginger said and stroked Minnow's cheek gently.

Gilligan gently placed her in the movie stars arms. "I think I can agree with you Gilligan on memories and friendships. I learned I can't trust everyone I meet but I can trust some people" she said.

"Yes, I believe Minnow is a perfect name" Mr. Howell agreed and he took the baby and cooed to her. "I wish those vermin friends of mine could be lucky as Lovey and I and become a castaway" he said and then gave his castaways a loving smile.

"I also know I never would have said that fifteen years ago but you all really did touch this old rich heart. I'll never forget the day I made my will and placed you all in it. I remember thinking you all wished I was dead after and escaped into a tree. But watching you all rip up the deeds really moved me and since then I've loved each of you like you were my own children" he added.

He then gently passed the child to his wife so he could wipe his eye. "I don't think there is much I can add to that. But I too know the value of friendship now and I really wish I could have children as loving as you all" his wife said and then kissed the baby.

Professor then took the child carefully. "Minnow Gilligan. I have a feeling you'll be just as loving and carefree as your parents and you should be. Their amazing people" he told the child.

"I can't agree more" Skipper said and proudly took his goddaughter. "I'm your godfather Minnow and I love you just as much as I love your father. He is the glue that held this group together for so long and I hope you'll be the glue to hold him together if he needs it" he said and Gilligan took back his child.

"I'm so glad you all forgave me for trapping us here again" he said.

"The minnow could have stranded us anywhere Gilligan but I think we were meant to be here. We were let go to say goodbye to that world and now I don't think I'll mind if I'm buried here" Skipper told him.

So that's the tale of the castaways and they'll be there for a long long time. But we know they'll make the best of things even in an uphill climb. Gilligan and Skipper will do their best to make it home for the castaways because their more than castaways their a family.
