Alex stood next to Duncan as Sloane made his grand entrance.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting you today." Duncan moved to greet his boss. "Would you like a drink?"

"Yes." He responded while keeping his eyes on Alex. "I trust you have been taking care of our guest."

"Of course, sir." Duncan replied as he handed him a tumbler full of alcohol.

"Would you care for a splash?" Sloane asked of Alex as he held up his glass towards her.

"No thank you," she replied coldly. "I'm still recovering from my last drink."

"Well, you should never gulp such a notable vintage down in one slug," he scolded.

Alex bit her tongue yet still sneered at her captor. "Why am I here, Sloane?" She asked as she folded her arms across her chest.

"Apparently, there is a spy on the loose who is trying to kill me," he stated plainly.

"What are you talking about? And what does that have to do with me?" Alex was unsure what game he was playing this time.

"He has been watching me… or should I say, watching us for a while now." He pulled a folded picture from the inside pocket of his jacket and handed it to her. "Do you recognize him?"

Alex took it from him and tried to hide her reaction as she stared at a picture of Reid that was clearly taken without his knowledge. "I don't think so," she uttered.

"He's been seen watching me, following me, and he even attacked some of my employees the evening of the gala."

"Attacked?" Alex wasn't sure if she could believe the information she was given. "That still doesn't explain why you've kept me here against my will… and away from Aaron, I might add."

"Ah, Mr. Dudley Do Right. Well, as it turns out, he's been seen whispering in the shadows with our spy here."

Alex's mind was racing with thoughts and speculation. She was sure that if there was evidence of Reid and Hotch together that there might be some of her and Reid, as well. What she had to do now was play along the best she could. "So, if you're worried about my safety, why don't you just get me on a flight out of here."

"I am still unsure of his intentions. Your boyfriend could be involved in this spy's plan." Sloane stood directly in front of her. "Why, even you might be involved. I'm not taking any chances." He stepped out of the room to speak to a linebacker-sized man who was standing guard out in the hallway.

Duncan quickly moved toward his friend. "Do you know who the man is in the picture?"

Alex looked up at him but didn't say anything.

"You do, don't you?" He took hold of her arm and guided her a few steps back. "Alex, what's going on?"

Alex avoided eye contact and lightly shook her head. "I'm sorry Duncan, I—I can't."

"And I can't protect you if I don't know what's going on," his voice was quietly stern.

"Yes, I know him. He is not trying to kill Sloane. He's been investigating his illegal activities that I was telling you about," she confessed.

"Do you have any proof?" Duncan eagerly asked.

"Not yet," she replied unknowing of Reid and Prentiss' latest discovery. "Come on, Duncan, you need to help get me out of here."

"I will do what I can, but you know how Sloane can be."

"Thank you," she whispered as she saw him walking back towards them.

Sloane stared Alex up and down. "I guess this will have to do."

"Will have to do what?" Alex questioned with skepticism.

"What you're wearing. While we wait for further information, we shall have dinner. Come, to the dining room." Sloane portrayed the perfect host holding out his hand to guide them which made Alex increasingly uneasy. The more he pretended the more he was playing games and manipulating. She needed to stay on her toes.

Reid successfully docked the boat unseen then he and Prentiss trespassed onto the island where Alex was reportedly being held. They managed to rush across the open terrain and crouch down amongst the brush along the wall on Sloane's estate.

Prentiss watched as Reid was studying the building, guards, and the grounds. "So, do you have a plan?"

"Not yet," he confessed as he kept his eyes on the mansion thirty feet away from them.

"You mean you aren't going to bust in there with your Jason Bourne moves and save the day," Prentiss quipped.

"Pfft, I wish it were that simple… I want to get up to that window, see if I can get a better idea of the situation inside."

"Okay, why don't you rush over there and I'll cover you," Prentiss pulled out a handgun and cocked it.

Once the coast was clear, he dashed over to the window that was surrounded by bushes. He looked down to see Morgan's footprints from earlier, he then looked up to Prentiss and waved her over.

They both peeked inside to see Alex whispering with Duncan McLeod. Reid knew by her body language that she felt comfortable with him. Which made him a bit more at ease until he saw Sloane enter the room and held out his hand toward Alex and was speaking to her. Alex and Duncan exited the room as Sloane followed.

"We need to find out where they are going," Reid tried to locate another window that would provide them access yet cover them from the guards walking along the perimeter of the property.

After a careful study he turned back to Prentiss, "I'm going to do something extremely risky and dangerous; I am not going to ask you to come with me-"

"I'm in," she replied before he could finish his statement.

"Remember, we aren't FBI agents here, we are civilians and going up against a very powerful man who has guards who are well armed and well trained," he warned.

"I understand the risks that are involved. I also know that it is important to get Alex. So, tell me what you need me to do."
