welcome already, to chapter three of my first ever fanfiction from the 'Monster High' franchise. a chapter which talks about Clawdeen's flashback to when Raythe tried to ask her to Monster High's 'Dance the Fright Away', and she wound up asking him to said dance instead. in other words, this chapter is all about whenever a girl makes the first move. this chapter is a surprisingly short one with only six-hundred-eighty-five words worth of storyline with no commentaries from yours truly disguised as author's note. the storyline of this third chapter, like the first two, doesn't include this explanatory headnote, right here, nor does it include the (mandatory) disclaimer that makes up the paragraph following this headnote.

disclamation: I don't own even any 'Monster High' merchandise in any way, shape, or form. I am but a humble writer and a fanfiction blogger for fanfiction websites such as this one and for Wattpad, as well. in fact, I also have this exact fanfiction, along with all of my other fanfictions from this same site also available on Wattpad, and then some. but I don't own anything of the 'Monster High' franchise. all rights for the 'Monster High' franchise are reserved solely for Mattel.

I could still remember when I finally got to ask Clawdeen out to the 'Dance the Fright Away' Dance at Monster High. Actually, it was more her asking me out to said dance. We were back in her mother's art classroom when I had plans to ask her to the dance. I saw her drawing a fashion sketch with a model that looked a lot like yours truly, myself. That kind of fashion sketch had to mean that she liked me, even just a little. I just had to approach her calmly, confidently and with caution.

Yours Truly: Clawdeen.

Granted I approached my werewolf honey from behind and she was most likely struck with shock by my approach, judging by her scratching out her fashion sketch of me when I more than likely surprised her with my greeting from behind her. I guess I did wrong when I tried that kind of tactic for an ask out. I had to do something to fix my mistake with approaching my favorite werewolf ghoul.

My undead ghostly brain: It's cool, Raythe. Just ask her out with confidence. She'll also appreciate your honesty.

Yours Truly (continued): Uh, well, I was wondering…

Unfortunately for me, Clawdeen wound up beating me to asking her out.

Clawdeen Wolf: Are we going to 'Dance the Fright Away' together or not?

Of course, I did not even know what to say to my Clawdeen about her asking me out so forcefully at first by then. I actually even thought that I was dreaming when Clawdeen asked me to 'Dance the Fright Away' instead of me asking her to said dance.

Yours Truly: What? I, uh…

I scratched the back of my hair nervously at first when at least considering my response to being asked out by Clawdeen instead of me asking her out. Judging from the look on her face, she was probably worried I would have said 'no'. Luckily for her, I was so much more than willing to go to 'Dance the Fright Away' with Clawdeen Wolf. She was, after all, the love of my life.

Yours Truly (continued): Why, I'd love that.

Clawdeen looked away from me before responding back to my answer to her asking me to 'Dance the Fright Away'.

Clawdeen Wolf: Great.

With that kind of reaction from her, I just smiled at my precious Clawdeen as I responded back to her before walking in the opposite direction.

Yours Truly: OK. It's a date.

That was right when I walked into an easel from within Mrs. Wolf's art room. I had even slammed my nose against it just as I had done when I walked into a soon-to-open locker from back in the hallway just before Moanica D'Cay, the monster rights extremist menace of a zombie girl, came to Monster High. Did I say monster rights extremist? I meant monster supremacist. She had said that she wanted to befriend everyone at school, but even when she had pretended to care about her fellow students, I still knew that the only thing she had in mind when running for Monster High's student disembody president was blind and unquestioning loyalty from the other students. Everyone who had voted for her as president, other than her zomboy army, had retracted their vote for her and traded over to my Clawdeen's ghoul friends, Frankie Stein and Draculaura.

But back to the fact that for the second time since the start of my days at the school known as Monster High, I walked into something that hurt my nose when I walked into it when even talking to my precious Clawdeen. I really hoped that she did not see me walk into that art easel at the time, though.

When I turned my head back towards her direction, however, I realized that I had hoped my Clawdeen did not see me walk into an art easel in vain, because she saw me, anyway. I was so embarrassed by then, I felt as though I could have died from it practically. She even laughed at me over it when I looked in her direction. With it, there went any chance that I could ever even just look cool to her.
