Previously on Not Home Any more
"Have you ever thought about getting back home?"
He sighed. "Sometimes." It felt good to talk in their own language, felt familiar. "Even though I know that nothing waits for me there." he was a traitor and didn't expect to be greeted with open arms if he ever got back.
"Don't be ignorant! Yes, you did horrible things, but as far as I can see, you've changed a lot! There still has to be some people that will be happy to see you, right? Naruto?"
"Not likely... this time even Naruto couldn't and won't be able to forgive me."
...
They were in one of the meeting rooms of the Hellsing manor. Sasuke stood in a chair, half obscured by shadows. Ino herself was sitting on a large table, one leg dangling on the side, listening to Walter as he told them of the upcoming meeting with Her Majesty.
"It is probable that the Iscariot will be present as well." He looked at Ino for reactions, but the kunoichi's face was carefully guarded. "They had been conducting interrogations on individuals who had collaborated with Millenium during the second World War and have come to us with information."
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." said Sasuke in a cryptic tone.
"Precisely Mr. Uchiha."
"What are we to do?" Ino's voice had a professional edge to it.
"You will attend the meeting as well. Alucard is to come as well and give us the information he extracted from one of Millenuim's agents."
"Understood" came the unison reply.
...
"Alucard, Sir Hellsing. Destroy them!"
As Ino reviewed her weapons she pondered her decision once more. It did not take long to come to the same conclusion she had arrived at hundred times before; she had to speak with Sir Integra. With that thought in mind she stepped out into the hallways of Hellsing manor and headed toward the main office. She knocked on the door three times before entering and curtly saluting the leader of the Hellsing organization.
"What is it you want Ino?" came Integra's tired voice. In fact, now that Ino looked at their fearless leader once more, she saw the dark circles under her eyes and the tired lines on her face. War was no easy business.
"Sir Integra, with all due respect, I would like to express my worries regarding Alucard's mission." Ino's voice remained calm, respectful and with all the inflection of someone reading a dull text. It was crucial that none of her true feelings seeped into her tone.
After taking a long drag from her favorite cigar, Integra regarded the woman soldier before her. "Oh?" came her strong voice. "Do you, Yamanaka Ino think my decision was not a wise one?"
"Ah, no! Please sir Integra, I think strategically your decision is most wise, since Alucard is vital for our offensive move." She paused, letting her praise sink in. Ino was almost sure that Integra was completely immune to such frivolous things, but hey, it never hurt anyone to try, right? Then she continued in a more subdued voice. "But Sir, I think that Alucard is a much to important piece to be left uncontrolled and unchecked upon in such times. I am aware of his past with the Millenuim forces, and perhaps it is better to send in another agent with him to assure he stays on course with the plan..."
"And who would you suggest I send for this most dangerous mission, Ino? I require Seras to stay and protect the manor, and I will not leave Iscariot take care of everything else on their own!"
"I volunteer." came her curt reply. "I assure you that in matter of power, speed and techniques, Sasuke Uchiha is much better than I am. His strong points lie in battle Sir, mine lie somewhere else. I can communicate with Alucard directly in his head and reach out to steer him on the right course even if he were to be in the haze of battle."
Integra looked at the slip of a woman before her. She was so deceptive, so frail and yet so strong. Integra knew the kunoichi was right. Alucard was essential to their victory, to their survival... But if he did not stay on course, then they would all be doomed. God new how many aces had the Major up his sleeve, but Integra had only a big one, and she would be damned if she were to lose her trump card! Standing up, the leader of the Hellsing organization turned toward Ino. Now that she looked closer, she was a full head taller than the blonde kunoichi before her. How very deceptive indeed...
"Yamanaka Ino, I Sir Integra Hellsing order you to join the vampire Alucard in the mission to destroy the vermin that plague the seas! Your orders are simple soldier, search and destroy!"
Ah..thought Ino with a sigh as she heard her words. I think I will never tire of how she gives that order! Yes out loud she straightened her spine, and spoke in a clear voice. "Yes Sir!"
Down in the cellars of the Hellsing manor, in a room furnished only with a lavish red velvet throne and a small coffee table, two old friends stood facing each other. Alucard was lounged in his throne, one of the few possessions he insisted be acquired from a life long gone, sipping crimson blood from an elegant wine glass. In front of him stood Walter, the butler of the Hellsing family and the one who was once known as the Angel of Death. They were both old friends, comrades in arms that had once participated in a gruesome war and were now about to go to war once more.
"You need to give them at least some credit," came the slightly amused voice of Walter. "We keep killing them and they keep coming back. They have the persistence of a cockroach."
"And like they will die the same death a cockroach does. We will squash them as many times as needed." His voice was close to a furious growl, filled with disgust.
"Still," continued the vampire in a more light tone, "this time it's not just the two of us."
"Yes. I've been meaning to ask you, what keeps you so interested in miss Ino? You have to admit, it is totally out of character of you..."
The face of a different woman with long blonde hair and sky blue eyes floated into Alucard's mind for a moment, and it took another conscious effort for him to distinguish that this girl was not her, and that the woman in his head was long gone, for years, centuries... His fascination with Yamanaka Ino came from something else...
"I have glimpsed inside her past Walter..." he paused as the butler's eyes widened in shock. Yes, he will let the old man draw his own conclusions as to why he dared to taste the girl's blood, and as to why he did not bite her to taste it. "This woman has been through horrors that one could only imagine. Lost it all to a life that forced her to abandon all emotion, to a war that could not be won, then got violently thrown in a universe where she did not know the language, or customs, and which is full of monsters. Any normal person would break, give up. But she fought. When me and Seras found her, she had already killed one of the vampires who plagued the town and the majority of the ghouls all by herself."
He took another lazy sip of the blood, lapping away at a stray drop on his lower lip. "Indeed what they say is true Walter...the most potent elixirs are found in fragile bottles."
Walter smirked in a way that only Alucard had the privilege of knowing. "You might want to hold yourself from sipping out her elixir. She is very useful to the organization and to Sir Integra. I believe she would be most upset if something were to happen to little miss Ino."
"Hahahahaha! Fear not Walter, there will be no fang mark on Blondie's fair skin. Anything else I can't promise." the smile on his face was so ravenous that Walter dared not comment on the vampire's last statement.
It was just as Alucard started to think of the many other things he could do with little Ino that he felt the summon of his Master. "Well Walter old dog," he took a last sip of the cool blood on the glass and stood to his full, imposing height. "Seems our Master has decided. Let us join her in planning for war."
Meanwhile, in the large dining hall of the Hellsing manor, a starving Seras was staring down at a bowl of soup. Every cell in her body screamed at her that she should be drinking blood and not continue to punish herself like this. She could still envision the last time she tasted the sticky liquid. Yes, Sasuke's words reached her and his logic won, but Seras hated herself after that. In the end, there were many humans that decided they don't want to eat living things and so they become vegetarians. Why couldn't she be a vegetarian vampire?
Because you have no choice... whispered a voice inside her head, a voice which suspiciously sounded like her Master and maker.
Still, stubborn to the very end, Seras dipped her spoon in the bowl and sipped the mouthful of soup. She chocked, her body immediately rejecting the substance, and her hunger increased tenfold.
Out of the shadows, Sasuke watched as the young woman kept on torturing herself. Why does she not accept that she can't eat that any more? It's not like anyone died for that blood, it's donated. He thought that his reasoning had reached the girl before him as she had nourished herself last time, but it seemed that Seras had not eaten a thing since that mission they had weeks ago. Maybe she needs some more convincing, thought the Uchiha heir as he stepped out of the shadows.
"You are not eating."
Her head snapped up, looking at the man before her. His eyes were as dark as the night, and Seras saw a spark of annoyance inside them. "I'm trying!" she shouted, desperation palpable in her voice. "I'm trying damn it but it just... it just won't work!"
Sasuke regarded her little outburst dispassionately. Why was she so foolish? "That's not what you should be eating..."
Seras's eyes widened. He must think I am so stupid... She lowered her head, formulating an explanation that would justify her refusal to drink blood when her vampire senses went into overdrive. Her eyes turned red and her fangs elongated as the most delicious smell in the entire world filled her senses. Her mouth went dry and her empty stomach clenched painfully.
Sasuke held the kunai in his hand, watching in fascination as Seras's deep blue eyes were now glowing a hungry, red and long fangs poked from between her lips. She suddenly looked feral, and was watching him with such hunger as he had never seen before. He remembered Ino saying that somehow the chakra pouring through their system was making their blood more potent, like a highly desirable drug for vampires. He was fascinated to see the effect with his own eyes.
The pale, starved face of Seras was suddenly blushing as she watched the blood pool and drip out of the self inflicted would in Sasuke's palm. She started feeling fuzzy and funny, and the more she smelled the blood, the warmer she felt. Maybe just a sip, just to taste it on my tongue... surely that's not bad, not when I feel so good and so...
The smell was suddenly stronger, and as Sasuke placed his palm near her face Seras felt a tiny orgasm pooling in the pit of her belly just from the delicious smell. I wonder how good will it feel if I taste it?
He watched her tongue tentatively peek from between her lips, her crimson eyes suddenly looking into his. Her orbs were pleading with him in an innocent yet erotic way, making something deep and primal twitch within him. It was as if he was bewitched, leaving all logic and sense behind as he lost himself in her wide eyes. He pushed his hand further toward her and as the first drop of blood touched Seras's tongue, he heard her moan in pleasure. Is this the effect my blood could have on her?
The pure explosion of pleasure left her breathless and she found herself moaning with no shame. But by God this is so good! Never in her entire life had she ever experienced something like this. She felt alert and fuzzy at the same time, and the pleasure exploding inside her was nothing that she had ever encountered before. With greed she never knew she possessed, Seras began lapping away at the wound Sasuke had so wonderfully created. As soon as the stream of blood ran out she would move her tongue over it, forcing it open once more and the cycle of pleasure would continue. She was so lost in her high that she did not notice Sasuke's eyes bleed into the red of the Sharingan, or the dust of red that adorned his cheeks. She was in heaven, and did not care for anything any more.
With his Sharingan activated, Sasuke watched the girl that was now kneeling before him lick away at the tiny would he had created. The amount of blood trickling through it was minimal, and yet Seras looked like she was on the highest peaks of pleasure from just a few drops. He kept his other hand on her head, his Sharingan carefully watching her, prepared to pull her back at the slightest sign that she would bite. But Seras did not bite. She licked and moaned in pleasure, making not so innocent thoughts swirl in Sasuke's head. Regardless of his self control, he was a man, and the girl before him, un-dead or not was making a rather appetizing view.
His trail of thought was interrupted by the sound of a throat being cleared. His eyes flashed to the door to see a smiling Walter regarding them with amused eyes. "I'm glad to see that miss Seras will be well fed for the upcoming battle, but I fear I must interrupt your session. A meeting is called in Sir Integra's office immediately." With those parting words, the butler left the room in a swift movement.
Still, it seemed that Seras was too far gone in her pleasure induced state to realize anything. So it was up to Sasuke to snap her out of it. As he pulled his hand away from her grasp the young Draculina lounged after her nourishment, tripping the young Uchiha in the process. It took Sasuke not more than the span of a second to kick into action, twisting their position until he was laying on top of the busty girl, one silver kunai at her neck. However it took him two more seconds to realize that he was laying in between the strong legs of said girl, and that she had the most glorious post orgasmic look he had ever seen. Not that he had seen many...
It was with great difficulty that Sasuke stood up and left the room. She will come eventually... He thought, speeding through the hallways until he reached Integra's office.
Ino stood on her bed, thinking of the meeting from earlier. She looked at her bedside clock. It was almost morning. Since she had joined the organization her nights have been spent awake, either hunting vampires alone or with the other two resident vampires of the house. Speaking of vampires, her thought inevitably went back to the biggest pain in her ass at the moment. Alucard.
"What does he want from me? Urgh, I swear he's the most impossible man I know!" And that's what makes him interesting... whispered her thoughts. Indeed, she felt she could not deny it any more. The damn vampire was interesting, and alluring, and damn he really knew how to play her like a harp!
Damn it, now is not the time to think of that! No, now was the time to take up arms and fight. Now was the time to focus, and since the next day she was to leave for her mission, now was the time to sleep. But even as Ino rationalized that, she could not help but ask herself... Why the hell did I insist I go with Alucard? There will be nowhere to run if something happened... if he were to do any of the things he keeps on threatening me with... A shiver ran up her spine, and to Ino's absolute horror, she did not know if it was of terror or anticipation. What am I doing?
Trying to prove to yourself that he is not a monster... whispered the ever annoying voice inside her head. Though, I have to say, you have had better ideas in the past...
Indeed, this was not her wisest idea, but Ino had never been wise when her heart was involved. Not that I am in love with him! Oh nooo... But even so, the attraction that the young kunoichi felt toward the centuries old vampire was not to be denied. She hated him, and yet... yet there was something magnetic about him that she could not shake every time she saw those blood red orbs.
In any case, the stage was set, and now all that Ino could do is see how it all played out. And so the Konoha kunoichi closed her eyes, regulated her breathing and chakra flow, falling immediately into deep slumber.
The morning found Alucard sitting in his favorite chair and sipping blood from his favorite wine glass. He twirled the red liquid in the glass, smiling at the torrent on pleasure that he had previously felt coming from Seras. If seemed the young man that Ino brought along was getting along just fine with his little fledgling. Now, if only Ino would be so willing with him...
He replayed the meeting inside his mind, once more questioning his Master's decision to send the kunoichi with him. Surely she was aware that he had little control over the monster that he was once he was engaged in carnage. Sending her with him would be like tempting a starving wolf. Not wise at all...
The reasoning his Master had given was that Ino would be there to keep and eye on him and make sure that he was on track. Hmph! He felt thoroughly insulted... Like he needed a little girl to baby sit him! Oh, he knew that it was the little blonde minx that had convinced Integra to let her tag along. What he did not know was why? Surely by now she knew it was not the wisest of things to be alone with him... and it was truly foolish to go on a solo mission with him in the middle of the ocean with nowhere to escape. He was sure that even with her speed and ability to walk on water, it will be impossible to reach the shoreline. The little lamb was walking willingly in the wolf's jaws.
He took another sip of the blood and proceeded to think of thinks he could do to his little lamb, and how she would scream and moan beneath his hands and fangs. Oh Blondie, it will be glorious!
The cackling laugh of the No Life King suddenly rang in the dungeons of the Hellsing manor, sending chills up the spines of all those who heard it.
The next day was the start of their mission. As discussed in the meeting, Alucard was to board a high speed aircraft, while Ino was to be on board one of the decoy planes which will launch a diversion upon the carrier.
The instructions were clear, and as each took their places, Ino felt her heart beating wildly in her chest. This is not the time to back down, she told herself in a stern voice. You have a mission, execute!
With that thought firmly lodged in her head, Ino stepped in the passenger seat of the air plane, strapping herself safely in place. Here we go!
Are you ready Blondie? Came Alucar'd sinuous voice inside her head. You should guard yourself better, I could make contact immediately...
Indeed, now that the vampire had pointed it out, Ino realized that her defenses were rather down. Was she that shaken over the mission? No... surely not.
Shut it Alucard! Of course I'm ready... I've just never... been in a plane before!
Pff...Hahahaha! the crazed laugh of the vampire in the nearby plane ringed in her head. If she looked carefully, Ino could see him laughing his head out in his own plane, which did nothing but make her angrier with each passing second.
Why you nasty little creature! How dare you laugh at me like that? I'll Katon your ass when we land!
His laugh rang harder, and as Ino began throwing threats in her head and planning ways to painfully maim him, Alucard's voice rang with a gentleness she had never heard before. Still, now you're not scared, are you?
The thought he transmitted made her close the connection, blocking him from realizing the impact it had on her. She stood shocked in her seat, a blush on her cheeks. Not in a million years would she allow him to know that his words affected her so. It was only when she heard the voice of the pilot telling her that they were nearing the dropping off point that Ino realized the had forgotten all about her previous fear of flight.
So with new resolve, Ino pushed the button that would catapult her out of the plane. She flew for a few seconds in a chaos of limbs before she smoothly directed her chakra and aimed for the water surface. Landing smoothly on the water, she began running toward the target.
Just as it was planned, Ino was to approach by water, while Alucard was going to basically crash land into the carrier. They calculated that the radar would not detect Ino as she was too small and her size could be confounded with that of a water creature. She knew she was safe to approach, and if no one on the ship were to search for her, she was well under the cover of the night.
Alucard on the other hand was already approaching, making a rather flashy entrance. By her calculations, he would already be on the carrier by the time she got there. And then the fight would begin.
A/N: Bam! Here it is! Any thoughts?
