Plot

Teenage photographer Peter Parker is sent by the Daily Bugle to investigate a series of mystery lights in a wooded area outside of the city, when a sudden landslide forces him to swerve off the road and land in a tree. Realizing he's in a precarious spot, Peter slides down in the driver's seat and out of sight, only to rise back up again as he finishes a quick change into Spider-Man. He lowers the car to the ground and finds the hidden entrance to a secret laboratory operated by his nemesis, Doctor Octopus, who captures the young hero and reveals his plan to blow up part of New York. Octopus has also sent a warning letter to the Daily Bugle about it, so that people can evacuate before the demonstration, but Jameson thinks it's just a crank letter. Betty Brant drives off to the place Peter was heading to, but she is also captured. Spider-Man manages to free both himself and Betty, then stops the nefarious villain in his tracks, saving the city from destruction.

Viewing

"What are you?" everybody asked.

"A watcher," the person in darkness said. "My name is Alex, and I am a Watcher of the Universe." Miguel O'Hara threw something at Alex, but he crushed it.

"Why have you brought us here?" Tony Stark asked.

Miguel seethed at Tony, the six original Avengers, Rocket, Nebula, and 1999999-Peter as they were the ones who wrecked canon events. He also seethed at the Spider-Gang, especially Miles who escaped.

"Miles." Miguel seethed.

"Miguel."

"Miles, you know this man?" Rio Morales said.

Then, Jefferson saw his brother alive and hugged him.

"Brother! You're alive!" He cried.

"Jeff? What happened to you? How are you still alive?" Aaron asked.

"Me? How about you? You're a walking ghost?" Jeff said.

"What do you mean? You're the walking corpse." Jeff said.

MovieFlame, Kate, and the other Watchers didn't say a word.

"So, why did you bring us? And why shouldn't we kill you where you stand?" Earth-42 Miles asked, making Earth-42 Rio Morales cringe in fear.

"Miles, why are you wearing that Prowler costume?" Jeff asked.

"In my universe, I became the Prowler after you died." Earth-42 Miles said, tearing up. He hugged Jeff.

"I brought you here, to watch stories." Alex said.

"What sort of story?" the Spider-Gang asked.

"Yours. Or perhaps the first one." Peter said.

Everybody looked at Peter Parker-67 and his original counterpart.

"What? Why is everybody staring at me?"

"Because this is your story." Alex explained.

Jameson-67 and his counterparts then shouted. "Parker, what aren't you telling us?" Jameson asked.

"Is there something you're going to tell us?" Mary Jane Watson-67 and Aunt May-67 asked, before Peter chuckled nervously.

Suddenly, the projector screen turned on, with 1960s music playing in the background.

A web appears, following by a color graphic saying "in color", with an animated title in yellow showing the words "Spider-Man". We then see Spider-Man webbing across the screen.

"No, not him!" Jameson-67 complained.

Peter just shrunk in his seat, knowing what was going to happen next.

Singer: Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can, (a scene shows Spider-Man by a building, spinning a web to catch a car) spins a web, any size, catches thieves, just like flies, look out, here comes the Spider-Man

"Wait, isn't this song a thing in our universe?" Jeff-1610B asked.

"Yeah." Miles-1610B said. "It is."

Ganke was already excited, and Miles knew this was because he was a huge Spider-Man fan.

(We see Peter gliding across the city.)

Singer: Is he strong, is he slow, he's radioactive blood / Can he swing from a web? Look above your head! / Beware, here comes the Spider-Man! / In the chill of the night, at the scene of a crime, like the stream of light, he arrives just in time! (He then appears in the jewelry store, stopping the crooks from robbing the bank)

"See, Spider-Man is a hero!" Peter-67 said.

"No, he's a menace! Maybe he stopped those crooks to steal the jewels himself!" Jameson-67 countered.

Peter-67 rolled his eyes at this, knowing his alter-ego would never steal from anybody.

Singer: Spider-Man, Spider-Man, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! / We'll admit he's a dork, action is his reward to him! / Life is a great big pain, wherever there is prey, you'll find the Spider-Man!

The episodestarts in the mountains, where we see a truck with Peter Parker driving it.

Peter: Another of Jameson's wild goose chases.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Jameson-67 said, frustrated that his employee is frustrated about having to do one of his assignments, it's called a job!

Peter: "Mystery lights"? Yeah. (scoffs)

Jameson-67 remembered this. This is when Ms. Brant got kidnapped by Doctor Octopus and Spider-Man had to "rescue" her. Who knows? The two could have been working together!

As Peter is driving alongside the road, a huge rock lands in the middle of the road.

Peter: Fasten your seat belts!

The car drifts off the mountain, landing a branch.

"How?!" Jameson-67 asked in disbelief.

Peter-67 shrugged.

Peter: Don't make waves 'til I make this change.

He then takes his clothes off, revealing his Spider-Man costume and then he puts his mask on.

"You're Spider-Man?!" Jameson-67, Aunt May-67, MJ-67, Betty-67, and Gwen-67 asked.

"My Peter, a hero!" May-67 exclaimed.

"I kinda figured." MJ-67 said.

"Well, this is a big surprise." Gwen-67 said.

"I can't believe it." Betty-67 said.

"Me and you are going to have words, Parker." Jameson-67 grumbled.

Spider-Man then uses a web to make sure the car doesn't fall from impact, webbing it to the cliff.

Spider-Man: Contact. Two down. One to go.

The car then comes down, falling slowly as it stops on the ground.

Spider-Man: Now for a three point landing.

"How is the car not damaged?" Betty-67 asked.

Peter shrugged.

As the car comes down, it hits a rock, which glows white.

Spider-Man: That glow. Mystery lights, maybe?

"I don't think so?" Uncle Ben-67 then said.

"Uncle Ben?" Peter-67 asked. Peter then hugged him, as did Aunt May. "You're here. It's really you."

"What are you going on about?" Uncle Ben asked.

It was at that moment that every Peter discovered that Uncle Ben was alive.

"You died, from a gunshot wound." Every Peter except 199999 Peter told their Uncle Ben.

"Peter, how are so much older?" Ben-199999 asked.

"In my universe, you got shot by a Hammer Drone during the Stark Expo." Peter said.

Every Uncle Ben hugged their Peter.

"It has to happen." Miguel said.

"It's an canon event." Miguel said. "He has to die."

"No, he doesn't." Alex said.

"Yes, he does."

"No, he doesn't. You're wrong, Miguel."

"What do you mean?"

"You'll see?"

Gwen and Miles smiled, as they knew that canon events could be altered.

Spider-Man: It's worth checking.

"Yeah, it is. Do your job, Parker!" Jameson shouted.

Spider-Man saw a hidden lab, before he was ensnared by a net.

Spider-Man: Hey!

"Who caught you?" Peter-199999 asked.

"Doc Ock." Peter explained.

"Ah." Peter-199999 said.

The camera then shows Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus, with his four mechanical arms overstretching Spider-Man.

Doctor Octopus: So, Spider-Man, you're not the only one who knows how to use a web.

The music then reaches a beat, transitioning to a shot with New York in the background, a web in the middle, and in huge yellow text, "The Power of Dr. Octopus".

"What's that?" Peter asked.

"The name of the episode." Alex said.

"An episode? You mean this is a television series?" Peter-199999 asked.

"Yes. In my universe, they're multiple Spider-Man television series. Spider-Man is a fictional character in my universe." The Spider-Man actor said.

Doctor Octopus: This my great day. Not only does Spider-Man fall into my clutches, but my greatest invention is ready. It will give me the power to rule the universe.

Spider-Man: Don't expect applause.

Almost everybody but JJJ-67 laughed.

Otto then showed a section of New York, revealing it to be Forest Hills.

Doctor Octopus: You won't scoff when I've wiped out this whole section of the city.

Spider-Man (whispering): That's where I live.

"Who lives in Forest Hills? Some cheap ass?" Jameson-67 asked, before May then hit him in the face for making fun of their family.

Doctor Octopus then laughs.

Doctor Octopus: To prevent loss of life, I have Jameson a warning of my plan. As a matter of fact, he should have the letter by now.

"Why would a villain tell somebody their top-secret plan?" Peter-19999 asked.

"As ransom." Peter-67 said. "All my villains do it. It doesn't make sense."

The scene transitions to J. Jonah Jameson reading the letter at the Daily Bugle in front of his secretary, Betty Brant.

"That's me! Oh, I remember this." Betty stated.

Jameson (reading Otto's letter): "I shall demolish the area charted. Advise removal of all residents before demonstration. Signed, Doctor Octopus!"

Betty: What if he really means it?

"Yeah, my Aunt May lives in Forest Hills, you idiot!" Peter shouted.

Jameson then gulped.

"I didn't think of that." Jameson said.

"Of course you didn't." Peter said.

Jameson (brushing it off): When you've been a fearless publisher like me for so many years, you'll realize the woods are full of cranks.

"Really, you're not even taking this seriously?" Uncle Ben asked.

"This isn't the first time, Uncle Ben." Peter informed him.

Betty: I wonder what's keeping Peter. It's getting so late.

"Maybe, it's the fact that he's Spider-Man?" Betty asked her counterpart on the screen, knowing that she wouldn't answer.

Jameson (while smoking a cigar): You can't trust a teenager to do a job. He's goofing off, no doubt.

Ben slapped Jameson in the face.

"My nephew doesn't goof off!" he proclaimed.

The scene transitioned to Spider-Man in chains again.

Spider-Man: While Ocky's out of the lab, I'll loosen some of this linkage.

He does so, breaking the arm restraint, and letting his hands go freely.

Spider-Man: There. My hands are free.

With his hands free, Spider-Man eventually breaks free of his bonds.

Doctor Octopus: Spider-Man!

Spider-Man: Who did you expect? Peter Pan?

Everybody laughed at this reference.

"That is such an outdated reference. I would say, 'Who did you expect? Darth Vader?' Peter-199999 said.

"What do you mean outdated? And what's a Darth Vader?" Peter-67 asked.

"Well, it's just this series is released in 1967. I'm from 2018. Darth Vader is a character from Star Wars." Peter-199999 explained.

"What's Star Wars?" Peter-67 asked.

"It's a film series that takes place in space, where this normal farmer, Luke Skywalker, is the son of the villain, Darth Vader, who is this guy dressed in black." Peter-199999 said.

"Well, here's a DVD to watch it." Peter-199999 said.

"What's a DVD?" Peter-67 asked.

"It's a device to watch movies. They use discs." Peter-199999 said.

"Intriguing. In my time, we just watch it on a satellite, which is connected to our TV." Peter-67 said. [1]

"Maybe I'll take you to the future when we're done here." Peter-199999 said.

"Ok." Peter-67 said and smiled.

Doctor Octopus: You dare to mock me?!

He then chased him, as chase music was heard in the background, hitting and messing Spider-Man twice before he ran.

"This reminds me of Scooby-Doo." Peter-199999 said.

"Agreed." Ned and MJ said.

Peter smiled at them, and they waved kindly. They didn't know who this guy was. MJ thought He looked familiar. Where do I remember him from?

Ned also thought This guy looks familiar.

"What's Scooby-Doo?" Peter-67 asked.

"Scooby-Doo is another cartoon TV series. It features this gang, Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy, who solve mysteries with their Great Dane, Scooby-Doo. You should watch it." Peter-199999 said.

"Thank you." Peter-67 said.

"The series came out 2 years after 1967." Peter-19999 said.

"Okay, I should keep an eye out for it." Peter-67 said.

Spider-Man ran.

Spider-Man (taunting Doc Ock): Those flappers can't move fast enough to catch Spider-Man, Ocky. He stopped and webbed up Doctor Octopus' arms.

Doctor Octopus: Ah. Most ingenious of you! He broke free of the web restraint.

"People don't talk like that in the 21st century. You would have said 'Come on, you slow arthropod. Those things can't move fast enough to catch me!' And he would have said 'How smart of you, Spider-Man, but I'm smarter.'" Peter-199999 explained.

Peter-67 nodded.

Spider-Man: He snapped my web like it was a thread.

Doctor Octopus then tried to grab Spider-Man, but the latter ducked out of the way.

"How did you do that?" Jameson-67 asked, intrigued of his powers.

"Reflexes and Spider-Sense." Peter-67 said.

"Spider-Sense?" Ben-67 asked.

"It's like a sixth sense. It alerts me of danger." Peter-67 said.

"That's quite useful." Ben-67 noted.

"It is."

"Spider-Sense? In my universe, we call it 'Peter Tingle'." Peter-199999 said.

Every Spider-Man laughed.

"It wasn't. It was May." Peter-199999 said.

"That's actually a good name." Tony said.

"Thank you, Mr. Stark. At least somebody likes it." Peter-199999 said.

Doctor Octopus then closed the cave to prevent Spider-Man from leaving, trapping him in a cage.

Doctor Octopus: Be my guest.

The scene transitioned to showing Betty in her car, on her way to get Peter.

"Technology is so advanced now, in my universe, we have cars that you listen to your own music on." Peter-199999 said.

"Really. Fascinating. We use the radio." Peter-67 said.

"We still use it. It's just most cars have bluetooth devices nowadays." Peter-199999 said.

"What's a bluetooth device?" Peter-67 asked.

"It's a device that you can use from your phone to create a signal. It allows you to watch videos, listen to music, or watch movies or TV shows, without having to watch it, because you can hear it from the speaker." Peter-199999 said.

"I thought you use phones to call people." Peter-67 said.

"In my time, they're portable and you can use the internet to access it. Also, there's this one called texting, where you can type messages on a mini keyboard." Peter-199999 explained.

"Intriguing." Peter-67 said.

"It is." Peter-199999 said.

Betty: Mr. Jameson cautioned me about coming out here… but Peter's so late, I-

The car skidded to a halt, focusing on Peter's car.

Betty: Peter's car?! But, Peter? Peter? Where are you?

She gets no response, which worries her. A hand appears, startling Betty, revealing it's a police officer.

Police Officer: Who are you?

Betty (startled): I'm Betty Bugle of the Daily Brant. I mean, I'm Betty Brant of the Daily Bugle.

She shows him her press pass.

Police Officer: Okay, Miss Brant, but be careful. We've had some strange reports about this place.

He then turns and walks away, as it shows his point of view.

Police Officer: What's a nice girl like that doing way out here?

It then shifts to Betty's point of viewing, showing Doctor Octopus watching her through his security cameras.

"In my universe, you can view people on your security cameras through your phone." Peter-199999 said.

"How interesting." Peter-67 said.

"It really it." Peter-199999 said.

Doctor Octopus: Ah. A visitor. Let us welcome her properly.

Spider-Man (whispering): It's Betty.

Doctor Octopus opens the cave, allowing Betty to explore.

Betty: Peter, are you in here?

"Yes, I am, not as Peter, as Spider-Man." Peter-67 said.

Betty-67 snickered at his behavior.

The point of view then shifted back to Doctor Octopus and Spider-Man.

Doctor Octopus: Our fair lady should be entering any moment.

"If you hurt her, I'll…" Peter-67 threatened.

The cave then opens, showing Betty.

Spider-Man: Run, Betty, run!

"Was that a Forrest Gump reference? Oh, wait, wrong time period." Peter-199999 said.

"What's Forrest Gump?" Peter-67 asked.

"It's a movie about this US military guy who signs up during the Vietnam War. It explains how he is disabled and how it shows how he is different from everybody." Peter-199999 explained.

"You mean the Vietnam War happening right now?" Peter-67 asked.

"Yes." Peter-199999 said.

Doctor Octopus: You're too late, Spider-Man!

He then uses his arms to grab Betty.

Spider-Man: You'll pay for it if you hurt her, Ock.

"Ah, my hero." Betty said.

Betty: Spider-Man, how did you get trapped?

Spider-Man: That's what I keep asking myself.

He then shrugged. Doctor Octopus then handcuffed Betty to the side of the cage.

"That is definitely meme-worthy." MJ and Ned said.

"Oh, yeah, definitely." Peter said.

"What's a meme?" Peter-67 asked.

"It's something that basically somebody on the internet makes a joke about, usually because of the words they say or the tropes it includes, or how cringe it is." Peter-199999 said.

"Ah. What's the internet?" Peter-67 asked.

"It's what powers a computer." Peter-199999 said.

"Ah. We don't have many of those in my time." Peter-67 said. [2]

Doctor Octopus: Now, young lady, you and Spider-Man can serve as witnesses to my great powers. My plan is deceptively simple.

Spider-Man: Just like you.

"Damn!" Tony exclaimed.

"Sick burn." Peter-199999 added.

"I didn't burn him. What is that?" Peter-67 said.

"A burn is not literal. It's when you make fun of someone brutally." Peter-199999 explained. "It's really popular in 2018."

Doctor Octopus: Electronic impulses will penetrate every water, gas, and electric line in the area. He then pulls a lever. This will build up shock waves that will demolish everything! I'll set the impulses in motion.

"Why is he telling you his whole plan?" Peter-199999 asked.

"Classic villain. They love to monologue how their plans is going to work, but then it fails." Tony said.

Spider-Man: That gizmo makes the atom bomb look like a firecracker.

Betty: He isn't kidding. He's really going to do it!

"And this is what underestimating Doc Ock gets you!" Peter-67 exclaimed, glaring down at Jameson-67, who shrunk down from his stare.

Doctor Octopus then laughed like a madman. It cuts to black. In the next scene, Doctor Octopus is pushing some buttons and pulling some levers, as Spider-Man attempts to use his super strength to break out of the cage.

Spider-Man: These forged steel bars. I-I can't bend them. His power is exhausted. This might be my chance. Doc Ock's turned his back. He uses his webs to pull a lever, which opens the cage, allowing him to escape.

Doctor Octopus: Spider-Man, no one can interfere with my plans!

"Classic villain. So naive, but so dumb. His plan is so simple even Rhodey can stop it." Tony said.

"Thanks, man. Hey!" Rhodey said, as Tony mocked laughed. Rhodey didn't even know whether to be insulted or happy because Tony was praising him.

"I'm just kidding, you're a good Avenger, honestly. It was a joke." Rhodey said.

Spider-Man: Looks like I got you with your plans down.

Doctor Octopus: I'll stop you with my all-powerful arms.

He tries to grab him, but Spider-Man dodges him three times.

Spider-Man: Butterarms! My Spider-Senses are tingling. Something's going to…

Betty: Spider-Man, look out!

A block then almost hits Spider-Man, but he avoids just in time. He makes a web separating him and Doctor Octopus.

Spider-Man: Ock, your messages sure carry weight.

Doctor Octopus then pulls a lever, which causes a laser to shoot out, which Spider-Man dodges.

Spider-Man: I would have got a charge out of that if it had landed!

He then pulls the lever a couple of times, but Spider-Man dodges every time.

Betty: Do something Spider-Man!

Doctor Octopus shoots the laser again, as Spider-Man heads to the top to the fan. Doctor Octopus smiles evilly.

Doctor Octopus: Giant ventilator fan.

Betty: Look out!

Doctor Octopus then uses the laser to shoot him down from the fan.

"He beat you?" Peter-199999 asked.

"Not exactly." Peter-67 said.

"What?" Peter-19999 asked.

"You'll see." Peter-67 said.

Betty: No, no, no!

Doctor Octopus: Yes, yes, yes!

He then laughs evilly to end the scene.

The scene transitions to the Daily Bugle, showing Jameson looking for Betty and Peter.

Jameson: Don't good morning me! Where's Betty Brant?

Receptionist: I don't know, Mr. Jameson.

Jameson: Nobody cares how I worry. First, Parker disappears… I'll call the police.

He uses the phone to dial the police.

Police Officer: Count on us, Mr. Jameson. We'll do everything to find your people.

It then goes back to the Daily Bugle.

Jameson: Typical teenagers, the minute there's any work to do, they go gallivanting off.

The phone rings three times, with it ringing four more times.

Jameson: Huh? Who? Water lines? Where? The electrical lines? Jameson speaking. No, no, not to you! But the whole area will be destroyed! Jameson then realizes something. Doctor Octopus! Everything's happening just like he said it would!

The scene transitions back to the cave, where we see Spider-Man and Betty are handcuffed next to the cave.

Betty: Spider-Man, can you hear me? Are you all right?

"I'm fine, Betty. Truly." Peter-67 said.

Doctor Octopus: Your concern is heartwarming, young lady, but save it for the more worthy souls such as the ones who fail to heed my warning! He shows a screen showing the city exploding. Kindly note the violent eruptions in the city.

Betty: Stop it! Stop it before it's too late!

Doctor Octopus then laughs maniacally. In the meantime, Spider-Man wakes up, unbeknownst to Ock.

Spider-Man: Betty, listen closely, I'll spin my web into our handcuff locks (he does so) and when the web hardens, it'll serve as a key. As soon, as you're free, hurry and look for help!

Betty escapes, unbeknownst to Ock.

"Go Betty!" MJ exclaimed.

Betty-199999 and Betty-67 blushed.

Doctor Octopus: The impulses will build to even greater velocity! Ock then notices that Spider-Man is no longer handcuffed. Spider-Man! How did you get out of those handcuffs?

Spider-Man: Just talented, I guess.

Doctor Octopus (running after him): Your talent is about to end, Spider-Man!

Spider-Man webs up Doc Ock's tentacles.

Doctor Octopus: You hope to defeat me with a fragile thing like this web?

Doctor Octopus uses his tentacles to try to attack Spider-Man.

Doctor Octopus: Now I'll get rid of you for good!

Spider-Man: This might change your view of things. He webs up Doctor Octopus' glasses, preventing him from seeing.

If only I had done that, it would have been easier to defeat Dr. Octavius, Peter-199999 thought.

"That was so cool." Tony said. "And you beat him."

"Yep." Peter-67 said.

Doctor Octopus: Oh, this blasted web! I can't see!

Spider-Man: And to further cement our friendship…

Spider-Man webbed him to the wall to prevent him from escaping.

The scene transitioned to Betty talking to a cop.

Betty: And then Spider-Man made keys out of his web and opened my handcuffs!

Peter then shows up.

Betty: Peter Parker!

Peter: Imagine meeting you here.

"I just realized it was a coincidence that after Ock was defeated, you show up." Betty said. "I should have put two-and-two together a long time ago."

Betty: Thank heaven you're safe! Where have you been? Betty then started looking suspicious.

Peter: Trying to get my car fixed.

"Yeah, right." mostly everybody said, not buying that story one bit.

Betty: You could have built one in this time. Spider-Man captured Doctor Octopus!

Police Officer: While you two celebrate your reunion… I'll go check on our captive!

"Didn't he mean prisoner?" Peter-199999 asked.

"I suppose." Peter-67 said.

The police officer goes to the cave, sees Doctor Octopus webbed up, and a note, which says "Compliments of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."

Police Officer (reading the note): Compliments of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!

The scene transitions to Jameson's office.

Jameson: Now, tell me exactly what happened.

Betty: Well, Spider-Man-

Jameson: Enough! Enough! I don't want to hear another word!

"Of course, you don't want to write an article stating that he is a hero!" Peter-199999 exclaimed.

Jameson looked down ashamed.

"Peter, I promise to make non-biased articles against you anymore. You really are a hero!" Jameson exclaimed.

"Thank you, Mr. Jameson. Truly." Peter-67 said.

Betty: But-but-but-

Jameson: Parker, where were you when all of this activity was going on? And to make matters worse… you didn't even get pics on the mystery lights!

Peter: I should have asked Doc Ock to lend me a hand.

"What did he say after that?" Aunt May-67 asked.

"He told me to get pics of Spider-Man doing 'crimes' or I would be fired." Peter-67 explained.

Uncle Ben slapped Jameson in the face again.

"Apologize to my nephew." Ben-67 said.

"I'm sorry, Peter for me being biased. It's just Spider-Man represents every part of what I could never be. And, for that, I'm sorry." Jameson-67 apologized.

"I forgive you, just as long as you don't do it again." Peter-67 said.

"I won't." Jameson-67 said.

The last scene shows Spider-Man swinging around the city.
