Author's Note: "Hopefully the next chapter won't take as long to come out!" ...Gee, I really jinxed myself with that one, didn't I? Well, this chapter is actually on the longer side, so hopefully that makes up for it (in fact, I even had to cut some things to another time). Believe it or not, but I actually had the idea for this one a long, long time ago and let the note of it that I wrote for myself just sit there, waiting for the right moment for me to write it. So I hope you like it!

Earth-7351

The Johto Region

A single building sat alone by the side of a dirt road that led into a small forest that was less than a mile away. The building wasn't particularly large and was a pristine white in color, with a large, bright red roof and a glass front door and windows that were tinted a light blue. A sign to the right of the door read 'Pokémon Center' above a picture of a metal sphere that was red on the top and white on the bottom, with a black line with a gray button separating the halves.

Inside the Pokémon Center, a young teenage girl sat in the lobby and stroked a small animal sitting in her lap. She was waiting for a dark blue haired man who was wearing an earpiece to be done talking to its attendant at the desk. The girl was on the shorter side and had medium olive brown skin, purplish-red eyes, and rich black hair pulled up into a messy bun. She wore an open hiking vest over a plain t-shirt, striped shorts with a big bow belt, knee high socks, and buckle sneakers. Her name was Fuchsia. The animal in her lap had red-brown fur and resembled a small fox, but with multiple curled tails and curled locks of hair on its head, both an orange-brown in color. This creature was called a Vulpix.

"I'm very sorry, sir, but your Hitmontop isn't quite back to full health just yet!"

Fuchsia looked over at the counter, where she saw that the man - who didn't appear to be a trainer - looked quite annoyed. The woman behind the counter had light skin and bright pink hair worn in neat, tight loops that fell behind her ears. She wore a long pink dress with a large white apron and a white cap.

"What kind of sorry excuse for a Nurse Joy are you?!" the man viciously snapped at her. "It's been well over a day since I left him with you and he wasn't even knocked out!"

"Please try to understand!" Nurse Joy held up her dainty hands with her eyes shut. "Your Pokémon will be ready to leave by the end of the day, I swear!"

The man's earpiece started to buzz and he frowned.

"I've gotta go in for my shift at work, but this ain't over, lady. I'll be right back afterwards and you'll be in for a nightmare if you don't let me see Hitmontop then!"

The man stormed away from the counter, grumbling to himself as he went out the front entrance. Fuchsia then walked up to, feeling quite awkward.

"Umm…Hi, Nurse Joy," she rubbed the back of her head and forced a smile. "That sure was…"

"Hard to watch?" Nurse Joy sighed, resting her hand on her forehead.

"Well…Yeah, it was." Fuchsia admitted.

Nurse Joy looked down at Fuchsia's Vulpix, who had closely followed after her much loved trainer. Vulpix snuggled Fuchsia's leg, looking trepidatious.

"Hello there, little one!" she smiled and then looked back up at Fuchsia. "What a darling Vulpix you have! Why have you brought her to us today?"

"Vulpix!" Vulpix turned her head away.

"Oh, I didn't come here for Vulpix, Nurse Joy." Fuchsia shook her head.

Nurse Joy's face briefly fell flat. Her mind instantly jumped to the conclusion that this trainer girl was only there to use their other facilities besides taking in Pokémon to be healed.

"My Phanphy is the one you'll be taking care of," Fuchsia smiled, producing one of the red and white spheres. "We had a battle with another trainer in that town nearby and she took the brunt of the damage for my team. She's right here in her Pokéball."

Nurse Joy's face lit back up as she took the Pokéball from Fuchsia. Vulpix silently dashed away and stopped next to the entrance.

"Come back in a few hours and she'll be good as new!" Nurse Joy said.

"That'd be great, but I understand if you need to focus more on that Hitmontop you have back there," Fuchsia looked over at Vulpix. "You know, just so that guy doesn't have a Miltank when he comes back later."

"…Right," Nurse Joy said, looking at the door to the back. "Just come back when it feels right."

Fuchsia nodded and walked away from the desk. She picked up Vulpix and then left the Pokémon Center. Once she was gone, Nurse Joy stared down at the Pokéball in her hands and smiled, but differently than she had in front of Fuchsia and the man who came before her. This was a more subdued smile that would become uncomfortable for someone to look at the longer it was held. The door behind her was pushed open by a man who was hidden in blackness, save for his sickly pale hand.

"Ah, very good," the man spoke. "What kind is it, my love? A Zubat? A Ponyta? Tell me…"

"A Phanphy," she said dryly. "But before I got it, that man came in demanding his Hitmontop."

"A Phanphy shall be perfect! Now come…" he beckoned her. "We have much to do…"

Outside of the Pokémon Center, Fuchsia was walking along the dirt road, still holding Vulpix.

"You seemed to not like it in there that much, Vulpix," Fuchsia rubbed one of her Pokémon's lovely tails. "When we come back for Phanphy, I'll keep you in your Pokéball."

"You seriously left one of your Pokémon in there?"

Fuchsia turned to see the same man from before, who was now on a bicycle. He had left it propped up at the side of the building and was only just then getting back to the road.

"Of course I did," Fuchsia frowned at him. "Just because you're an unreasonable jerk to that nice Nurse Joy doesn't mean I should be one too."

"You're taking their side in this?" he frowned back at her. "There's something shady about this place, if you ask me."

"Why? Because they didn't magically fix whatever happened to your Hitmontop when you weren't bothering to take care of it yourself?" Fuchsia rolled her eyes. "You probably don't even—"

"Don't assume you know everything, kid!" the man snapped. "…Hitmontop has been with me for six years and he's irreplaceable. At least I think he is. I brought him in for a fever and…I just need to be sure he's okay."

Fuchsia looked at Vulpix in her arms.

"Vulpix vulpix." her Pokémon chirped.

"I get it." she sighed. "You may have made a scene in there, but I shouldn't've assumed the worst of you. I get emotional about my team all the time."

"…I guess I was being kind of a wad," the man sighed. "Name's Misao."

"I'm Fuchsia," the teenage trainer said. "Look, I'm sure they know what they're doing in there. Maybe I'll see you when I come back later?"

"That'd be nice," Misao said. His earpiece started buzzing again. "Oh crud! I better get going or I'll be late!"

Misao sped off, his bike's wheels kicking up a small cloud of dust. Vulpix hopped down from Fuchsia's arms and the two started in the opposite direction, heading towards the nearby forest.

"Vulpix vul vul vulpix!" the fox-like Pokémon said as it bounded down the path.

"Ha! Good idea, Vulpix!" Fuchsia took out another Pokéball and fiddled with it. "You, Phanphy, and the others could use a new friend!"

After a while, the pair reached the forest, walked up to a particularly large tree, and began to look around for signs of wild Pokémon. After a few minutes, one thing was clear; Other than them, the area was very quiet. Any noise Fuchsia could make out was the distant wing flaps of Flying type Pokémon.

"Strange…" Fuchsia rubbed her chin.

Vulpix was another story, as some of her senses were stronger than those of her human trainer. She sniffed around one bush and then another. Fuchsia took notice and crouched down next to her.

"What is it, girl?" she wondered.

Fuchsia pushed aside some of the leaves where Vulpix was sniffing and saw something. It was a small piece of cloth caught on a thorn, clearly having been torn from a larger article of clothing. Vulpix put her nose to it closer and then leapt over the bushes.

"Vulpiiix! Vulpixvulpix Vuuul!" Vulpix yipped.

"Wait up!" Fuchsia gave chase. "It's not like I'm a Swellow!"

After a short but rather chaotic run, Fuchsia was able to catch up with Vulpix, who had gone to a small clearing that had a pile of boulders in the middle. After Fuchsia took a moment to pant, she saw that Vulpix was motioning upwards at the boulders. There was a person sitting on top of them.

"Now I get it! You found someone!" the young trainer realized.

"Vulpix!" the Pokémon smiled.

The person on top of the boulders heard them both and spun around, hopping to his feet.

"Finally!" he exclaimed.

He jumped down from the rocks, spinning in the air acrobatically before landing on his feet in front of the two.

"Umm…Hi. I'm Fuchsia." Fuchsia greeted the stranger.

He was a young man who appeared to be only two or three years older than her. He had a trim figure and a light tan. He had hazel eyes and deep brown hair that was shaved on the right while the left was left longer. He wore an open dark brown hooded vest over a forest green jacket and a light green tee shirt with black splatter patterns, light beige pants, and flared brown boots. All of these garments had at least one small tear in them, along with a couple dirt stains.

"The name's Hunter, and I've been in these woods for over a week, so you're a welcome sight," the stranger looked at her, sounding quite relieved. "Y'know, even if you aren't from my school like I was hoping. I guess I really am lost."

"That makes two of us!" Fuchsia exclaimed. "I don't get why someone would stay out here when there's a town close by!"

"Vulpix!" her Pokémon pointed east with her snout.

"There is? Well, I couldn't have known," the strange young man crossed his arms defensively. "I've never been around these parts before. I just sort of woke up here. I didn't know whether it was safer out there or in here, so I figured I'd stay put in case someone was looking for me."

"Didn't you think to have your Pokémon help you find your way home?" the teenage trainer questioned. "Oh! Sorry…I shouldn't just assume that you're a Pokémon trainer like me."

"What's a…'pokey man'?" Hunter asked confusedly.

Fuchsia and Vulpix looked at one another and both of their mouths hung open in disbelief. He had to be pulling their legs.

"You said it was Hunter, right? Listen…" Fuchsia composed herself and motioned down at Vulpix. "You can't not know what Pokémon are. Not when there's a Vulpix right here."

"That's the thing, Fuchsia…" Hunter scratched his head. "I really, truly don't! Maybe someone back at school cast a spell on me. That would explain a few things."

"A spell?" Fuchsia raised an eyebrow.

"Vulpix?" Vulpix copied her inflection.

"Yeah, like from a wand. That sort of magic can get really out of hand," Hunter responded. "Maybe some sort of teleportation spell sent me away from the school, but I can't think of anybody who'd want me out of Ever After High!"

"Ever After Whatnow?" Fuchsia found herself becoming just as confused as him.

"You know, Ever After High!" Hunter started pacing about. "It's the school where fairytale characters like my dad send their kids to succeed them."

"…You think your dad is from a fairytale?" Fuchsia couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Yeah, he's the Huntsman from 'Little Red Riding Hood' and 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' too. I share some classes with Snow's daughter Apple and Red's daughter Cerise," Hunter answered and then sighed. "…I don't actually want to hurt animals, but my folks made it clear what their expectations for me were when they named me 'Hunter Huntsman'."

"This can't be real. You can't be telling the tr…" Fuchsia then paused and did a double take. "…Hunter Huntsman?!"

Hunter winced and stepped back instinctively. He was surprised when Fuchsia then suddenly let out an amused laugh and plopped down on the grass.

"Sorry. That must've seemed weird," she looked up at him while petting Vulpix. "I don't mean any offense, but that name is kind of…dumb. But…Now I think I may really believe what you're saying."

She patted the grass to her side, beckoning Hunter to join her.

"I mean…I won't deny that it sounds pretty redundant," Hunter blushed and sat down. "But Fuchsia is a bit funny in its own way. Other than Cerise, I don't have many classmates with colors for names. Hmm…Raven may technically count though…"

"Really? Because there's at least one other girl from my hometown whose name is a color too," Fuchsia smiled, thinking back. "I haven't seen her in months. Y'know, she likes to wear green too, I think."

"Green…" Hunter's demeanor changed. He shuddered and closed his eyes. "It's funny; I've been surrounded by green for a long time, but hearing you say the word…"

He went silent until he felt Vulpix nuzzling up to his left leg.

"Green is the last thing I remember seeing before I ended up in this place," Hunter said. "I was with my girlfriend when we saw some men with green skin. Some might've been women. When I first saw them, Ashlynn thought they were weird kind of elfs with shaved heads."

"Are they the ones who took you from your…err…bedtime story academy?" Fuchsia touched his arm gently.

"I don't know. It all happened so fast," Hunter continued. "They attacked us and I fought back but…There was shrieking. It could've been Maddie Hatter laughing, but I think it was shrieking. Then I think I saw…Darling Charming with a sword, maybe? Then after that it gets all foggy. There was a burst of light, but they could've been in my head. Then I was here, late at night even though it happened during the day."

Fuchsia and Vulpix then hugged Hunter, much to his surprise.

"No wonder you didn't know what to do! You must've been so scared!" she exclaimed.

"Vulpix Vul Vulpix!" the little Pokémon squeaked.

"I'd normally be too proud to admit to it…" Hunter returned their hug. "But I was. Thank you. Both of you."

The two stood up, with Vulpix curled up on Fuchsia's shoulder.

"Look, Hunter, once read this story. It was a fairytale, actually. It talked about there being multiple worlds, all different from each other. It was about a traveler being sent by a legendary Pokémon from one world to another." Fuchsia told him.

"Never heard of that one. Do you think that's what happened? That my home is a whole different world from here?" Hunter asked.

"It's just a theory, but it doesn't sound less likely than what you told me and it would explain why you didn't know what Pokémon are." Fuchsia reasoned.

"I guess it would! If that's the case, staying here in the forest won't actually do me any good!" Hunter looked up at the sky. "I noticed the constellations were unfamiliar too, now that I think of it! Does this make me an alien?!"

"Woah now! Let's just calm down," Fuchsia said. " I promise I'll help you figure out what happened, but let's get you to civilization first. …You said you don't like hunting, right? Well, I think I know a place you may like to see."

Back on the dirt path, Misao was still riding his bicycle. Whereas before he was biking towards the nearby town, he was instead going in the opposite direction, back towards the Pokémon Center.

"I really should've answered before I started biking back into town!" Misao said into his earpiece. "I'm touched that everyone cares so much about Hitmontop, ma'am!"

"Of course, Misao," he heard his manager say. "The little guy is practically part of the team, given how often you bring him in with you. We'll see you both tomorrow."

"Thanks again, ma'am! Sounds good!" Misao smiled.

After hanging up, it took several more minutes of biking for him to get back to the Pokémon Center. This time, Misao left his bike propped up at the front of the building instead of behind it. He practically barreled into the building.

"Nurse Joy!" he shouted. "I realize that I was being rude before, but I…"

He trailed off when he noticed that Nurse Joy wasn't at the front counter. In fact, he didn't see her anywhere.

"Yowza. I know this isn't a busy area, but this waiting room is like a ghost town," Misao observed. "And I don't mean the kind where there's a bunch of Haunters."

He then saw that the door behind the counter was wide open. Realizing that Nurse Joy was most likely in there, Misao jumped over the counter and then walked into the back. In sharp contrast with the shiny and welcoming exterior of both the building and the waiting room, this space was dimly lit and full of grim looking machinery, with a floor covered in suspicious stains. Misao walked and saw some unwelcoming cages dangling from the ceiling. All of them were empty, but there were clear signs that Pokémon had been in them, like claw marks.

"There's no way this up to code…" Misao muttered to himself. "Even a Qwilfish would call this place fishy. That was terrible. I've officially become my dad."

"Misao?" he suddenly heard.

Misao spun around and saw that he wasn't alone in the corridor. The figure who called his name got closer, followed by another. It was Fuchsia, with Hunter close behind her.

"Oh. It's you." Misao said. He looked at Hunter. "Who's this guy in the ripped clothes? Where did he come from?"

"I'm Hunter," the boy from a land of fairytales said. "As for where I'm from…well uhh…"

"It's complicated. I just met him in the forest," Fuchsia lowered her voice to a whisper. "I brought him here to get him some help. I saw your bike."

"Then I heard someone talking to yourself back here and she figured it was you." Hunter added.

"Don't you realize you could get in trouble, especially after earlier?" Fuchsia hissed, still attempting to be quiet. "What were you thinking?"

"I couldn't find anybody. That's all." Misao said defensively.

Fuchsia and Hunter couldn't help but look around.

"…I'm starting to get why Vulpix wasn't getting a good vibe from this place. This isn't right. This is just plain wrong for a Pokémon Center." she pointed up at the scratched up cages above their heads.

"This better not be normal in this world of yours," Hunter scowled. "Because I can start to feel my blood boiling hotter than Ginger's cauldron."

"I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but we should find Nurse Joy and question her about this place." Fuchsia frowned.

The three continued down the corridor. Eventually, they arrived at another door, with brighter light seeping out from under it and the shifting of feet could be heard. Without warning, Hunter slammed the door open. The three entered and discovered that it was a lab of some kind, which included an operating table, a shelf lined with bottled chemicals, a second table covered in work tools and scraps of metal, and a large water tank where a big white seal-like Pokémon called a Dewgong was hooked up to some long red wires. A figure was standing behind the water tank, facing away from the door and obscured. Standing nearby was Nurse Joy, who was looking over a shelf lined with Pokéballs, including two or three with different colors.

"Nurse Joy!" Misao pointed at her.

"What's going on here?!" Fuchsia stomped her foot down on the gray tiled floor. "What kind of Pokémon Center are you running here?!"

"A fake one." she calmly answered and smirked.

Fuchsia and Misao looked at each other with half dumbfounded expressions. Neither had expected her to admit to something like that so easily.

"Heheheh," Nurse Joy giggled and looked over at the person behind the Dewgong's water tank. "Tell them, my love. You may as well."

"I suppose it has been too long since I have a monologue. Very well." the man chuckled.

He emerged from behind the tank for the three to clearly see him. He was a wiry older man with a fairly unattractive face, an unhealthy, yellowish pallor, long and unruly white hair and sideburns. He wore round, red tinted goggles, a long green coat with no shirt underneath, baggy brown pants, shiny black rain boots, and fingerless black plastic gloves that exposed his filthy and overgrown fingernails.

"Allow me to introduce myself," he smiled with a mouth with mismatched, blocky teeth. "I am Doctor Aloysius Animo. This fake Pokémon Center serves as a front for my experiments. My experiments to create an army of unconquerable killing machines out of the Pokémon left here by the ignorant public! …AKA You. With them by my side, I shall destroy that Julie girl who constantly thwarts—"

"Give me back my Phanphy," Fuchsia clenched her fists and stepped forward. "Now. Or else. Same with Misao's Hitmontop."

"I'm literally a hero-in-training who loves critters like crazy, so you'd better do what she says!" Hunter snapped.

"I had at least a whole paragraph about who I am and how I set this up, but oh well," Dr. Animo shrugged before looking to his accomplice. "Eliminate them. Like you did with all the others who got too close."

Nurse Joy nodded and ripped off her uniform in an instant. She stood among the tatters of light pink and white, now wearing only a set of jet black and hot pink lingerie. She had several tattoos of the skulls of various different Pokémon. She then undid her hair loops and let her head of long pink hair fall down her back, with a single bang covering her right eye.

"Let's party," she licked her lips provocatively. Her voice became huskier, yet also more sinister. "And don't call me Nurse. That isn't my true self anymore. Call me Twisted Joy."

Fuchsia, Hunter, and Misao were all taken aback by the sudden change from Nurse Joy to Twisted Joy. Dr. Animo couldn't look away either, even while he flipped a switch on a close by control console. This caused the Dewgong to be expelled from the large water tank and onto the floor.

"Dewgong dewgong!" the creature warbled.

"Now you will see what this was all for!" Dr. Animo shouted. "No more headsets! No more modulator rays! Only victory and glory!"

Before them all, the Dewgong began to change upon contact with the air. It thrashed around and contorted in ways that looked next to impossible for it. And then the true transformation began; It grew to twice its regular size. It's small, single horn shot up to the size of a Lance and grew additional spikes that pointed in all directions. Its right eye grew massive in size, the skin around it fraying. Its left became consumed by a mass of pulsating warts. Its muzzle stretched out as the tusks grew longer, while sharp fangs took over the rest of its mouth. The tongue split into three separate ones that hung like slimy tassels. The left fin grew in size and grew spiked tips and the right fin transformed into a backwards, oversized arm with webbed fingers. A third eye and a human-like foot with sixteen misshapen toes sprouted on its back. The tail bent into a corkscrew shape and tendrils popped out at every seam.

"Dew…Guh…" the mutated Pokémon pushed itself up, trying to speak its name. But it no longer could. "Grrrraaaaggh!"

The three all stared at the Dewgong in utter horror. Even though he had never seen a Dewgong before, tears slid down Hunter's cheeks. Everything about it was sick and wrong. Fuchsia felt like she could've vomited right then and there. The shock of it all caused Misao to faint onto the floor.

"He just made my job easier," Twisted Joy threw back her head and pointed forward at them. "Dewgong! Devour them!"

The horrific, unsightly mass of white lumbered forward, wailing in both agony and misplaced rage. Its mind and spirit had been conditioned there in Animo's laboratory when its trainer had obliviously left their precious Dewgong in the hand of who they thought was a typical, loving Nurse Joy.

"No!" Hunter leapt forward and hit the mutated Dewgong with a strong kick. Tears still fell from his eyes. "I'm sorry! I have no choice!" He then tried his hardest to push it back. "Help me, Fuchsia!"

Fuchsia tried as best she could to think rationally. She tried to think of the situation she was in like it was a battle. Looking at the Dewgong, one thought occurred to her; Anyone fighting it would need to be brave. A strong stomach wouldn't hurt either.

"I have just the guy!" she took out one of her Pokéballs and tossed it. "Nidorino, I choose you!"

From a brief flash of light emerged Nidorino, another member of Fuchsia's Pokémon team. The male creature appeared to be a four-footed mammal and had light purple skin with darker patches, a row of spines on its back, large spiny ears, a single horn, and a long snout.

"Nidorino!" it growled.

"No time to explain! Help my new friend hold off that…thing!" Fuchsia commanded.

Without pause, Nidorino charged at the monstrous Dewgong. He joined Hunter so they could combine their strength.

"Good boy! Nice to meet you!" the lost Ever After High student managed to flash a smile.

Twisted Joy jumped onto the back of Dr. Animo's first mutated Pokémon and tried to interfere. Fuchsia dragged the unconscious Misao to the door and then dashed past the fight, jumped on the empty operating table and then propelled off of it. She landed by the shelf with the various ill-gotten Pokéballs.

"Don't you dare!" Dr. Animo rushed over and grabbed Fuchsia by her hair. "Do you think you're going to reunite them all with the humans who left them at my fake Pokémon Center?! My Joy and I eliminated them all!"

"Anyone's better for them than you!" Fuchsia shouted.

She slapped Animo across the face and he let go of her hair. Then she pushed him down and went back to looking at the shelf. Conveniently for her, there were labels next to each Pokéball slot. There were twelve there, with only one slot empty.

"Phanphy!" she smiled with relief while picking one up. "Oh! There's Hitmontop too!"

Meanwhile, Hunter and Nidorino were still fighting Twisted Joy and the Dewgong. While Nidorino kept the mutated Pokémon distracted with multiple jabs of his horn, Hunter managed to climb onto its back and grab Twisted Joy by her wrists.

"I see you like to play rough!" she winked at him. "How about a snog? Aloysius likes to watch!"

"Yuck! No thanks!" Hunter gagged.

He threw her off and she slammed into the table covered with tools. Hunter then grabbed the Dewgong by its enlarged horn and steered it straight into the empty water tank. He leapt off and ran over to Nidorino.

"We've gotta help your trainer, buddy!" Hunter said

"Nidorino Nidorino!" the purple Pokémon agreed.

Just as Dr. Animo got back on his two feet, he found himself tackled to the ground by Hunter and Nidorino. They looked up at Fuchsia, who was grabbing more of the Pokéballs.

"This one is a Jolteon!" she pointed at one. "We're lucky that they didn't change this one first!" she pointed at another. "And this is a Skwovet! Which is weird for this region. It's trainer must've traveled from far away!"

The Dewgong then let out a roar, one that sounded far, far more vicious than before.

"Joy!" Dr. Animo shouted. "Activate the portal before all is lost!"

Twisted Joy sprung up from the turned over table and picked up a strange looking gun off the floor. Instead of aiming it at anybody in the room, she shot at the floor. It created a swirling portal of bright green energy that crackled and sent bolts throughout the lab.

"We need to get out of here!" Fuchsia yelled. "Hunter, carry out Misao! I'll carry as many of these as I can!"

"But—!" he tried to object.

"I'll be fine!" she pointed at the doorway. "Go! I'll be right behind ya!"

Hunter nodded and ran across the room. He picked up Misao in his arms and stormed out the door. Nidorino looked at his trainer with concern, but then fled too when a bolt of green energy almost struck him. The portal expanded and the Dewgong fell into the portal, letting out a fearful roar.

"Haha! Yes!" Dr. Animo staggered onto his feet. "That one shall remain mine!"

"As they all will!" Twisted Joy maneuvered past the portal on the floor, running towards Fuchsia and the shelf. "You will not destroy my love's work, you foolish girl!"

Fuchsia panickedly scooped up more of the Pokéballs. She had to think of a distraction.

"This may sound rude, but I have to ask!" she yelled over the growing noise of the green energy. "You are ridiculously good looking! A pretty face, a beautiful body, and all that perfect waifu junk! So why are you so devoted to a gross, ugly, egotistical old man?!"

The two villains both stopped in their tracks.

"…Ouch. That's just plain mean." Animo frowned, genuinely offended.

"That's it! I've had it with you!" Twisted Joy threw up her arms. "And this blasted world! No one realized how messed up it is beneath the surface! I didn't ask for this life that all Joys must lead! Together, my sweet Aloysius and I shall return to his universe and—!"

"Hold up!" Fuchsia looked at Dr. Animo. "You're from another world?!"

If she'd had any doubt that Hunter really was from a different universe before that point, it was gone. This raised as many questions for the young trainer as it had just answered.

"Yes! My Joy and I shall take revenge on my foes like Julie and then shape everything to our liking!" Dr. Animo proclaimed. "All with those Pokémon! Grrrah!"

Animo and Twisted Joy both lunged at Fuchsia. She didn't have time to grab any more of the Pokéballs. If she had any chance at saving any of the stolen Pokémon, she had to run as fast as that unidentified potential new Pokémon with blue quills she had seen blurry photos of online.

"I'm coming, Hunter!" she shouted.

With that hanging in the air, Fuchsia took a powerful leap. It shouldn't have worked. She should've fallen into the green portal. Yet miraculously, she managed to land safely on the other side of it just seconds before it expanded even further. She nearly let one of the Pokéballs she was carrying fall, but she caught it. She took count of what she had; Seven. As much as it hurt to leave the other five, it would have to do.

"You'll pay for all that you've done." Fuchsia glared at the two.

"Perhaps so," Dr. Animo grabbed the rest of the Pokéballs from the shelf. "But perhaps not. Toodles!"

He jumped into the portal. Twisted Joy smashed the portal-creating ray gun with her foot, blew a kiss at Fuchsia just for the heck of it, and then dove into the portal. Fuchsia then ran out of the fake Pokémon Center as fast as she could. Before she knew it, she was back outside on the dirt path. She collapsed in front of Hunter, her Nidorino, and Misao, who was only just coming to.

"Oh man…What just happened?" he asked.

"Too much, Misao. Far too much," a tired Fuchsia said and handed him one of the Pokéballs. "Here you go. It's Hitmontop. I doubt they cured his fever, so you should bring him to a real Center soon."

"Thank you." he hugged it.

Hunter sat down between the two and wiped some sweat from his forehead.

"So…umm," he looked around. "What do we do now, Fuchsia?"

Fuchsia turned over and looked at the sky. Several dark feathered bird-like Pokémon known as Murkrows flew overhead.

"Somehow I'm gonna get you back to your fairytale world," she answered as she watched the Murkrows. "And along the way, we'll find these Pokémon new, safe homes. But first? We rest."

"Heh," Hunter smiled. "Sounds like it'll be quite the journey."

He looked up at them too and made a promise to himself to tell this story he was living to everyone he could when he got back to Ever After High.

...Yes, I really did bring in Pokémon and Ever After High. How's that for an unusual crossover? Normally I'd include some notes, but I don't think there's much to explain. If you disagree, feel free to ask questions in the reviews (which are always appreciated). I hope you enjoyed the story and found it interesting. Expect some more Kim vs. Kim in the near future. Thanks for reading!
