Except Toph was already blind and she was able to act, bending the earth to create walls and walls from the ground in front of her and everyone else. "WE HAVE TO MOVE!"
Aang and the Avatars used Airbending to lift themselves off the ground and shoot away with Aang grabbing Katara while the others grabbed Zuko, Sokka and Toph.
They flew for their very lives, even though the past Avatars before Aang were all technically dead to outrun the flames that chased after them.

When the explosion was finally over, there was only smoke and silence.
A massive, scorched crater marred the land of the Spirit World, smoke rising up into the sky. Anything within a five-mile radius was scorched and burned.
Nothing could have survived.

Sokka brushed the dirt off of him as he sat up, blinking and wondering if he was still alive. A secondary groan made him turn to see Toph lying several feet away, her outfit and hair as dirty as his.

"Ohhh…."
Sokka looked behind to see Zuko lying face first on the ground but was slowly lifting his head up. "Zuko!"
"Tell me I'm dead." Toph groaned as she managed to sit up. "Because my everythings ache everywhere."
"I don't think we're dead." Sokka looked down at himself again. "At least, I don't look dead."
"Wonderful." Toph rubbed her face but that did very little. "Never thought I would actually be longing for a bath but I ache so much I don't care."
Zuko got to his feet and looked to the crater. "…Father."
Sokka and Toph looked in the direction of the crater, seeing how large it was. "Whoa…He did all that? Is he-"
"Nope. Even though he wasn't human anymore I could still make out some kind of heartbeat. A surge of life inside that freaky body." Toph answered, placing a hand on the ground. "There's nothing there…He blew himself up."
Zuko was silent as he considered this.
For most of his life, he had wanted the monster who used to be a man.
A man who had been the one to sire him.
A man who he would have once given everything to please…
Only to realize that the man was incapable of showing love to anyone, no matter how hard he or his sister had tried.
And now he was gone.

Aang stood up as the past Avatars surrounded him and he looked to the nearest one, Roku. "Is it finally over?"
"I believe so…For now." Roku answered cryptically.
Aang looked confused. "What do you mean?"
"His anger and desire to destroy us, Firelord Ozai chose to destroy himself over being imprisoned once again." Roku explained. "And yet, even as he died, I sensed something strange. Something that didn't belong…It felt the same as the strange event that transformed Ozai into that fiery creature. I urge you to remain on guard, Aang."
As he spoke, he and the past Avatars began to vanish.
"The transformation of Firelord Ozai into a fiery monster that nearly ended everything once again, has set into motion a chain of events we have no way of preparing for. There is no telling what to expect or what might happen."
Aang could only confused not nodded all the same, watching as Roku and the rest of the past Avatars faded, their time up and were now ready to rest.
He turned to Sokka, Zuko and Toph as they rushed over to him. "Where's Katara?"
"I was just about to ask you that." Sokka said frantically. "We can't find her anywhere."
Aang's widened as he looked around and began calling out her name. "Katara? Katara! KATARA!"
"I can't feel her anywhere." Toph said, kneeling down to the ground. "It's as if she vanished into thin air."
Sokka and Aang paled. "Was she…caught in the blast?"
"No…I'm sure she wasn't. It was like she was there…and then something grabbed her and pulled her away." Toph slowly explained, an uneasy look on her face. "I don't think she's here anymore."
Zuko, Sokka and Aang were left feeling afraid of what might have happened to Katara.

"These pods came straight from the enemy fortress in Nowhere, Deputy Mayor Briggs."
Callie Briggs, Deputy Mayor of GrimmFall looked at the pods that had been rescued from Van Kleiss just in time. She had faith that Sebben and the others would stop him for good and before the army of Grimm arrived to the Mountains.
"Should I awake them?" The doctor next to her asked.
Callie shook her head. "No, keep them in stasis for now. We have enough troubles in Nowhere at the moment. Trying to help these lost souls adjust to being in a new world while trying to find a way home…It might be too much to handle at the moment."
The doctor nodded. "Understood. We'll monitor their vitals and alert you if anything changes."
Briggs nodded, moving to leave but stopped when she saw one of the pods, able to see the young girl inside.
'How cruel for one so young to be snatched away from her home without warning?' She thought to herself before turning to the door. 'I hope we will be able to help you.'
