A/N: Hey guys! This is a short story based on the 'Brothers' drabbles where Karai lives with the turtles. I'm still going to do the Leonardo brother drabble soon, but I thought this would be pretty cute to do. NOTE: To those of you who watch Inuyasha, you might see that some inspiration comes from an episode during the Final act! XD. Oh, I should probably mention something. In case some of you are confused by the order in which the Brother sagas go in, I'll clarify!

1) Leonardo - her first day

2) Raphael - 3 weeks after she decides to stay

3) Donatello - A few days after Raph

4) Michelangelo - Over a month

This takes place a few weeks after the events from 'Brother Part 1: Michelangelo'

I OWN NOTHING!

Enjoy!

Normal

"Karai! Time to get up!"

"...go away, Michelangelo..."

"Nuh-uh! Not until you get outta bed! It's already 9am, and you're gonna miss the awesome breakfast I'm making for you! C'mooooon!"

Cracking her eyes open, Karai growled under her breath as Michelangelo, her youngest brother, climbed up onto her bed where she had wrapped herself up in a comfy burrito and sat on her, bouncing lightly up and down in an attempt to get her up. However, little did he know that all he was doing was digging a grave for himself as she growled louder.

She was tired, he was heavy, and she was on the verge of eating him alive if he refused to stop any time soon.

Craning her neck to look up at the beaming freckled turtle straddled on top of her as he finally stopped bouncing, Karai narrowed her serpent eyes at him. "Why are you even in here, Mikey? I can get up by myself, y'know," she hissed testily at him.

Rolling his eyes, Mikey folded his arms over his chest. "Well, yeah, I knew that. But Leo sends me to get the others up all the time, and he told me that you're no exception," he stated. "I tried to tell him that you're not really a morning person and that you'd probably eat me if I came in to wake you up, but then he said -"

"Mikey."

"Yes?"

"I'm going to give you exactly three seconds to get off of me and get the hell out of my room before I transform and swallow you whole."

Eyes going wide at the glaring serpent girl, Mikey blinked once before easing his way off his sister and walking backwards towards the door, smiling bashfully all the while. "Right...sorry, Karai," he chuckled. "Still, come and get your breakfast before Raph eats everything!" he chimed brightly, slipping out of the bedroom just as she sat upright and untangled herself from the burrito she'd wrapped herself in.

Letting out a weary breath, Karai climbed out of bed and stretched, the bones in her back popping before she relaxed and let out a long sigh. Raking a hand through her hair, which she had noticed had started to grow out considerably with a small satisfied smile, she made her way out of her bedroom, clad in only a black, baggy vest top and a pair of pink shorts, and padded through the living room and into the kitchen, where her four brothers were already bustling about as they grabbed whatever they deemed was suitable for breakfast...including cold pizza, it seemed.

Standing at the kitchen counter making tea, Leonardo turned and noticed her standing in the doorway and smiled, raising his cup to her. "Well, good morning to you, Karai," he greeted with a grin, though Karai knew as well as the rest of them that he was mocking her for sleeping in late.

Sat at the head of the table, Raphael was just finishing his cereal when he looked up and lifted his glass of juice in silent greeting as he smiled. Beside him, Donatello was reading a book in one hand, whilst he held a steaming mug of coffee in his other hand. He noticed her in the corner of his eye and smiled, revealing the gap in his teeth.

Karai smiled back at them, yawning as she gave them a little wave. Just another normal Saturday, it seemed. All that was missing was the chaos.

"Hope you're hungry," Donnie said from where his nose was buried in his book as she took a seat opposite him. "Mikey's making pancakes."

"Pizza Pancakes, Donnie!" Mikey chimed from in front of the stove, where he could be seen flipping the pancakes - filled with pepperoni slices - into the air before sliding them onto a plate and smothering it in maple syrup.

Donnie rolled his eyes. "Yes...Pizza Pancakes..." he shuddered.

Blinking once at Donnie's reaction, she turned to Raph. "Is it disgusting as it sounds?" she whispered lowly.

Raph sent her a smug grin. "Why ruin the surprise when you can try it for yourself?" he whispered back with a chuckle.

Karai sent him a pout. Oh, she was going to get him for this later.

Beaming from ear to ear, Mikey crossed over and presented Karai's odd looking breakfast in front of her with a dramatic flourish. "Here you are, my lady!" he announced proudly. "Eat 'em while they're hot!"

Raising a brow as she looked down at the plate and then at Mikey, who continued to smile at her with those big, baby blue eyes sparking with hope, she offered him a small smile as she took a bite out of her food. The peperoni slices and cheese clashed horribly with the pancake mix, but Karai forced it down anyways, nodding at Mikey as she swallowed. "...it's...really good, Mikey," she said, though her voice was strained as she forced a grin. "T-Thank you...so much."

His freckled grin growing wider, Mikey leaned over and wrapped his arms tightly around her shoulders in a tight hug. "You're the best, Karai!" he giggled as he nuzzled his cheek against hers affectionately. After she'd awkwardly returned the hug as best as she could, Mikey released her and set upon clearing away the pots and pans that he'd used.

Once his back was turned, Karai shared a disgusted look with both Raph and Donnie, who were both fighting the urge to laugh out loud as they slapped their hands over their mouths.

Rolling her eyes at her brothers (and making sure Mikey wasn't looking) Karai quickly transformed her upper body into its snake form, and chomped down on the mountain of pizza pancakes with her jaws before swallowing them in one gulp. The brothers all knew that her sense of taste altered whilst she was in her reptilian state, meaning that she found even the most disgusting of substances (including garbage from the surface) to be quite tasty. Mikey's breakfast, whilst it wasn't disgusting by all means, was still rather difficult to get passed the gag reflex, so she quickly wolfed it down her extended throat instead. Licking her lips with her forked tongue, she then quickly transformed back into her human form just as Mikey turned around again.

Mikey's eyes widened. "Whoa! You really were hungry, weren't you?!" the youngest turtle laughed. "You want seconds?

"No, no, that's okay, Mikey!" Karai hastily insisted with a kind smile as she got up from her chair. "I think I'll just grab some toast instead."

Mikey only shrugged as he put away the pans, humming a merry little tune to himself. As Karai took out a loaf of bread from the cupboard, she heard Leo snicker next to her. "That was mean," he whispered.

Karai held up her hands and shrugged at him. "What else was I supposed to do? And besides, he didn't see me," she whispered back as she popped her bread slices in the toaster. Leo only shook his head, but he couldn't stop grinning.

In the next instant, however, the unusual peace was shattered as a shrill scream rang through the air, starling everyone in the room as they turned to their hot headed brother, who was now standing on top of the table with both Sais drawn as he stared in horror at the floor. Leo, as usual, was the first to react as he leapt over the table and whipped out a single tanto blade from his belt. "What?! What is it?!" he cried, scanning the floor for whatever had caused his younger brother to jump in fright.

Quivering with fear, Raph pointed one Sai towards the wall. "C-Cockroach!" he screamed. "Gross! NO WAY!"

His shoulders drooping as he sighed, Leo only shook his head as Donnie snickered behind him. Taking out a pan from the drawer, Mikey held it over his head as he walked over to where the so-called beast awaited to devour the red turtle. "Stand back, y'all! I've got this!" he hollered, stomping over to the roach and slamming the pan down. However, the little critter miraculously managed to dodge the pan as it skittered towards the turtles. Raph started screaming again as he bounded from his perch on the table and flung himself into Donnie's arms instead, yelling "Kill it! Kill it!" all the while as Mikey gave chase.

As the chase and the noise ensued, Leo and Karai shared a look. Karai suddenly grinned, her green eyes glinting with that familiar mischief that Leo had grown to love and hate so much throughout their relationship. His eyes widened. "Karai, please don't," he pleaded exasperatedly.

Karai only shrugged again. "Hey, someone's gotta catch that bug. Besides, I'm still kinda hungry anyways," she snickered, before her body twisted and morphed into its mutant snake form in spite of Leo's protests. Letting out a high pitched screech, the mutant serpent began to give chase to the offending cockroach. But the little creature was faster than it looked...and Karai's body was a little to long to avoid knocking things (or turtles) over in the process as she slid around the room.

"Whoa! Watch it, Karai!"

"Ssssorry! Thissss ssssstupid bug issssss too fasssst!"

"You're a snake for cryin' out loud! You're faster!"

"Aaaah! Look out!"

"Watch the fangs, watch the fangs!"

"OW! Karai, your tail whipped me in the face!"

"Ha! I got it!"

"Eww, don't eat it!"

"Whoa, whoa, look out!"

"AW CRAP!"

CRASH!

Soon enough, after the noise had finally died down, Master Splinter walked calmly into the kitchen to find all five of his children piled on top of each other (or tangled in Karai's coils), all of them groaning in pain and covered in leftover cereal and milk. Looking up from where they lay, they seemed to shrink under Splinter's questioning gaze as he raised a brow at them.

"Would any of you care to explain what happened here?" he asked simply.

The five siblings shared a blank look, almost as if they were debating on whether or not to tell their father the actual reason why they had ended up like this. Before any of them could come up with a half suitable answer, however, Karai opened her mouth and let out a loud, rumbling belch from the pit of her stomach.

All was silent as the boys and Splinter snapped their heads in her direction and stared at her incredulously. She offered them all an embarrassed, fanged grin. "...um...pardon me?"

That was all it took before the four turtles and their snake sister fell into hopeless hysterics, even wiping tears from their eyes as they laughed together. Standing above them, Splinter could only shake his head with a fond, yet exasperated smile spreading across his rodent features.

Indeed, just another normal Saturday morning with his family.

A/N: Gotta love them, eh? XD

I had fun writing this! I hope you enjoyed it, and there's more coming soon!
