That morning had dragged in, it was only 2pm and Rachel was suggesting that they go for a late lunch to soak up Santana's hangover. However, this would not be any normal lunch, they were to go to their restaurant. Rachel liked to hear people sign while she ate. The girl was a nightmare wrapped in a small parcel.
It was settle, they would enjoy lunch with singing to make Santana's hangover better. Santana thought that Rachel was out to get her with this stunt. It was a little after 2:30pm when Santana and Rachel made their way into the restaurant, they made their way over to the both in the back, this made Santana a little happy. This happiness was short lived when they crossed paths with the one and only Quinn. Santana and Quinn made awkward eye contact before Rachel interrupted them with her shrill voice "Quinn, how nice to see you. You must forgive my friend for her rude behaviour last night, she wasn't feeling herself. Why don't you join us for some food as a way of mending bridges between you and this one" Rachel finished pointing at Santana. Santana took this as her que to make her way away from the two girls and to her table.
Quinn politely smiled, "thank you, Rachel. I must decline your very nice offer though; you see I have this date tonight and I need to go home and make sure the place is spotless". Quinn had just bought Santana a little more time to deal with this weird situation that she found herself in recently. "okay" Rachel said defeated. "you need to fill me in on all the details tomorrow though, say lunch at 1?" Rachel asked with way too much enthusiasm in her voice. Quinn could only smile and nod at Racheal as a way of accepting her invitation to lunch. Both girls turned and went their separate ways.
As Rachel sat down facing Santana, she was pondering about Quinn's date. The girl was only new in town; how could she have gotten a date this quick. "Santana" Rachel asked "did Quinn mention to you anything about her having a date this evening?" Santana's jaw dropped and a look of shock consumed her face. "no, why would she tell me" Santana spat out. Rachel just nodded and grazed the menu with her eyes. Santana on the other hand was internally panicking.
Lunch went well after Rachel had stopped mentioning the blond beauty that was Quinn. After lunch Santana and Rachel went shopping which Santana would say lasted 60 years but only really lasted 4 hours. The girls bought a lot of new party accessories for Racheal's next party which apparently would be in two weeks. Rachel had always been the spur of the moment sort of person and this also applied to her party throwing ideas. With all the day's festivities, the only thing that Santana wanted to do was to go to bed. She scowled herself internally for agreeing to go to Quinn's apartment, which she only had an hour to get ready for. After a quick shower, clothes change and a run to her local liquor store, she was standing outside Quinn's apartment looking flawless at 9.58.
She looked at Quinn's door for another few minutes before she could gather the energy to knock that door. With a shaky breath, she raised her unsteady hand and knocked on the door.
