Gruetly Bay Farm Life
Season one Episode seventeen: A Gruetly Bay Hurricane Part Two
Rock music started playing for the opening theme, and after a couple seconds, Lucky was shown to be skateboarding out of the barn with a confident smile. "London to Gruetly Bay is kind of a big change! (Patch is shown to be drawing something while sitting under a tree and hi fiving Lucky as he skates by) But Lucky's gonna take it on cause the mission's in range! (Two-tone is shown to be helping the pink pig from the intro with a dress as she waves to Lucky as he skates by) He and his friends are ready for whatever comes their way! (Rolly is shown to be reading a cooking magazine while giving a thumbs up to Lucky as he passes by) And they'll be by each other's side every day!"
Lucky is then shown to be talking to Roxie with the two showing clear feelings for one another. "Romance, (Lucky is shown to be punching a ferret that tries to attack him) action, (Lucky and his friends are shown to be various activities in the Bark Brigade) it doesn't matter! They're gonna work hard to make it better! (Lucky is shown to be punching Mooch right in the jaw) Bullies, (Lucky is shown to be struggling to sit through one of Tibbs' lectures) boredom, they can get through it! (Lucky is shown to be admiring his butt in a mirror before he jumps out the window) And Lucky is the leader who's gonna become most fit!"
The song then finished with the song finishing in an epic rock fashion as Lucky skateboards down the ladder to the window of the barn's top floor. "He's skateboard packed and ego charged! (Lucky is shown giving a sly grin and finger bang to some nearby animals who're annoyed by his ego) Cocky bugger livin' large! (Lucky spots Cruella about to hit one of his siblings) But when danger comes a knockin'; (Lucky saves his sibling and gets out of the way) he's ready for nose popping!"
Lucky and his friends then do their own individual poses with Lucky doing a peace sign, Patch giving a cheerful smile, Two-tone giving a friendly wave, and Rolly patting his stomach. "He's ready to get through the strife, (Lucky and his friends are seen spotting something in the distance) in his new Gruetly Bay Farm, Life!" The screen blows up with it then showing Lucky and the others still trying to survive the hurricane with Lucky currently working up the courage to tell Roxie, Blake, and Spot something important with Patch, Two-tone, and Rolly's support.
The base was still enduring the hurricane with Lucky then shown to be tying the climbing rope to the staircase on the second floor. He then called down to the others after he finished doing so. "Alright guys, come up slowly! This rope is only strong enough to handle two pups at a time!" The first two pups to go up were Patch and Roxie, who Lucky helped up to the floor as Blake and Two-tone came up next. Spot went up next, and Rolly went up last, since he weighed the most. They were also careful about his injury.
Lucky then quickly counted to make sure everyone was there before making the next call. "Alright guys. I think next we should find a room that doesn't have a lot of stuff in it. If the base somehow spins again, we can't risk getting hurt by anything that flips over with us."
The others felt that made sense and followed Lucky's lead, but not without Roxie speaking up as they started. "When we find the right room Lucky... there's something I wanna ask you."
"Yes, I'm still bothered by the fact that Tripod got the Deputy position over me." Lucky stated instantly after, looking to Roxie to see if he got that right. "Was that what you were going to ask me?"
Roxie did have a question in mind that involved Lucky's mind. But what was on it wasn't exactly the question. Her worried look confirmed to Lucky that this. "Something like that." Lucky wasn't sure how to react, so he pressed onward to find the right room.
The first room the group looked into was a bedroom, and it was pretty packed. That confirmed this to be the wrong room, and they pressed on to the next room. "Nope. Bed could kill us."
Lucky and the others were in the room they decided on with Patch making sure the window was secure by tapping it gently. After making sure it was secure, he went back over to the others and put a paw on Lucky's shoulder to support him. He knew what was about to come thanks to what he heard earlier. "They'll understand Lucky. They took learning about Blaze's ADHD really well too."
Lucky smiled upon remembering that, and Two-tone and Rolly sat down beside Lucky with Roxie, Blake, and Spot sitting across from him. Blaze did have to question why Patch brought up his disability though. "What does my ADHD have to do with Lucky, if you don't mind me asking?"
"I think it's pretty evident Blake." Spot responded, and then she looked to Lucky to give him the time to answer. After all, this was his topic to speak of. "Patch is right Lucky. We're not here to judge. Ask questions maybe, but not judge."
"You only have to tell us what you feel comfortable with." Roxie assured Lucky, smiling to him, which helped him feel safe. Lucky couldn't help feeling the warmth of Roxie's smile, so much that it made him blush a little as he saw the beauty in her eyes.
Roxie ended up blushing a little as well due to loving Lucky's smile, and when Lucky saw this, he coughed and got to answering the question. "You three have probably noticed some things about me by now. Like how I get so worked up over small things like my game collection being disorganized, and how sometimes, my emotions get the better of me." Roxie, Blake, and Spot continued to listen as Lucky continued speaking. "Three years ago, after we were saved from Cruella..." Lucky was shown looking down at the floor as he finished. "I was diagnosed with Autism."
Roxie wanted to ask Lucky something about that, but she waited until she knew for sure he was done. And as she expected, Lucky had more that he wanted to say. "It's a developmental disorder that impacts the nervous system. Mostly in social situations. Like when Roxie and I talked about her parents." Roxie remembered that day with Lucky bringing up how he was worried about the outcome. "I was worried she would see me as a nosy jerk if I asked her."
Lucky spoke some more about his disability while hoping that the others would understand. "This also affects things like my ability to adjust to change, my impulsiveness when any situation arises, and my general way of thinking." Blake rose his paw, which caught Lucky's attention. "Yes Blake?"
"Does this mean you have a limited attention span, like me?" Blake asked, being genuinely curious about Lucky's condition.
"Sometimes, yes." Lucky answered, and then he brought up an example for when he had a strong attention span. "Sometimes however, particularly when I'm really fixated on something, my sights are drawn to it like nothing else. I'm also even more observant, and also really good at remembering specific details, such as when we first met Swamp Rat to get back Colonel's scarf."
Blake thought it was really cool that Lucky figured out that trick. Spot then had a question herself, and Lucky nodded to her so she could ask it. "Are there any symptoms to your Autism that are different to humans who have it?"
Lucky tried to think about a specific symptom dogs with Autism had that humans didn't. After a few seconds, he was able to think of one that felt like it could fit. "Just one that I can recall. You know how sometimes, I pull one of my ears when I get stressed?"
"I do. I also know you've done it sometimes out of other emotions like anger. Is that some kind of sensory response?" Spot asked out of curiosity.
"Yes. And it's not one I'm very proud of." Lucky admitted, and then he saw that Roxie was waiting patiently. He didn't want to keep her waiting too long, so he decided to let her ask her question. "You can ask something if you want Roxie."
Lucky knew Roxie wouldn't say anything to hurt him, but Roxie still wanted to be sure she worded it correctly. She picked up from when Lucky asked about her parents that he could be set off from the wrong wording. "Just one question." Lucky listened closely, and what Roxie asked made him feel remorseful for hiding his disability. "Why didn't you just tell the rest of us that you have Autism?"
Lucky sighed with remorse as he explained why he kept this a secret for the past three months. "I was worried everyone would become skeptical about me being a unit leader if they knew. I didn't want anyone thinking I couldn't handle it, or to wish others would go easy on me. I asked Colonel and the others to keep it a secret for that reason." Lucky then started to get emotional as he continued. "Some people have babied me over it in the past. And some didn't even bother trying to understand. As much as my family tries to help, these fears never go away."
What Lucky said next broke Roxie's heart, and also hit Blake on a personal note for obvious reasons. "Sometimes... I wish my brain worked the same as everyone else's."
Patch, Two-tone, and Rolly continued to try and help Lucky feel better. Roxie also stepped forward with some choice words of support for Lucky. "You know what this disability of yours tells me?" Lucky looked at Roxie and saw her smile before she placed a paw on his free shoulder. "It means you're twice as strong as I thought you were." Lucky felt highly elevated from that praise, and what Roxie said next made him feel even more validated. "So many people out there struggle with things that they either can't control as well as they'd like. And for you, that's Autism."
What Roxie said next was exactly what Lucky needed to hear to know that he was supported. "The fact that you keep trying despite everything that's in your way... is amazing." Lucky shed a tear of joy before hugging Roxie, who wrapped her arms around him as the two friends smiled during the embrace. Spot and Blake also smiled to each other, and Patch, Two-tone, and Rolly did the same. After a few seconds, Roxie pulled Lucky away and spoke again. "Next time though, tell me three months earlier. Okay?"
Lucky felt that was fair and chuckled a bit before smiling and nodding. "Okay. I promise." Lucky felt incredible after getting all of that out to his friends. Now the only currently pressing matter was the hurricane. "The storm is still going. I say we call Colonel as soon as we have signal again." The others felt that was a great idea, and Lucky felt even better about it now that Roxie, Blake, and Spot knew about his disability. He still felt bad about not telling them sooner, but he was glad that they didn't take him any less seriously because of his Autism.
After the hurricane had subsided, Lucky was making a call to Colonel on the sidewalk next to the base, which was currently laying on it's roof. He'd already told him everything that happened that night, and was letting the higher ups know where he and the others were. "I think we're close to the beach actually. It shouldn't be that long of a walk."
Colonel was relieved that Lucky and his group were okay. He would've been devastated if any of them died. "We'll come with a medic for Rolly as quickly as possible. I'm sorry I put you in a position you weren't ready for yet."
"Hey, I get it. You wanted us all to be ready to help clean up the town when the hurricane stopped." Lucky then realized that his family outside of the Bark Brigade weren't with them and started to worry about them. "Oh, wait! Are my parents okay!? And my other siblings!?"
Colonel looked over to the safe house the rest of the family was in and happily confirmed that they were all safe. "Yes Lucky, they're all doing great. I'd say they're as worried about you as you are about them." Colonel then remembered looked to Tibbs, who had his medical all ready to help Rolly. "I'll send them to your location soon. Connor's on his way to help Rolly, so he'll make sure the path is safe for others to head over to you on."
Lucky was glad to hear that, being relieved that his family were safe. "Sounds great Colonel. Thanks." Lucky then thought about his Bark Brigade position, but he decided to ask about it later. For now, he had to focus on helping the town through the hurricane. "I've gotta get to cleaning up the town Colonel. Over and out."
Lucky ended the call and got up to go check on Rolly. He was laying on a fence nearby with Two-tone watching over him. "Hey Lucky. How're you holding up?"
"I should ask YOU the same question." Lucky joked in reply, making Rolly laugh a bit as Lucky answered seriously. "Colonel sent Connor over, and the rest of our family is fine. Connor will patch you up once he arrives."
"Sounds like a plan." Rolly said in response, and then Lucky fist bumped him and Two-tone before heading off to help out the others.
Rolly felt kind of bad that he couldn't help, but Two-tone was quick to assure him that he was okay. "Don't you worry Rolly. The thing we want most from you is to be okay in the end." That did make Rolly feel better, but he still wished he could help. After all, helping clean up Gruetly Bay was a big job.
Lucky and Roxie were helping put a mailbox back into place. They couldn't do much since they weren't at Sergeant rank yet, but work like this would suffice. Just then, the two dogs heard someone running over to them. "Hey! Lucky!"
Lucky and Roxie looked to see Tripod heading on over to them, much to their surprise. Lucky was quick to show how happy he was that he was okay. "Tripod! Survive to the bitter end dude!" Lucky hi pawed Tripod before asking him about his unit. "Does that mean your unit got out of there too?"
"Duke has a broken arm from some flying debris that hit him during the hurricane, but yeah. We're all doing good." Tripod assured Lucky, who was glad to hear about Tripod's unit doing well. He then showed disgust about how Mooch behaved during the Hurricane. "I hope Colonel does something about Mooch. I heard he didn't do anything to help his unit."
"Yikes. How is he a leader again? Was it because he would've whined too much to Grandpa if he wasn't?" Lucky asked, and he and Tripod laughed a bit at his expense.
Tripod wanted to tell Lucky something in private next, so he looked to Roxie as he made his request to do so. "Roxie, could you give me and Lucky a minute alone? There's something I wanna tell him."
"He's all yours Tripod. Just don't take too long." Roxie answered, Having a feeling she knew what it was about too.
As Roxie left, Lucky started to catch on as well and looked to Tripod in an attempt to explain himself in a way that didn't make it sound like excuses. "Tripod, I know you probably heard about what happened to Rolly, and what was going on last night. I swear I wasn't trying to lie to you when you helped me last week."
"I know, don't worry. I didn't take it as lying." Tripod assured Lucky, and then he started with what he wanted to tell him. "I know that night was tough on you. We both worked so hard to get that Deputy position. I can't say I wouldn't have been as crushed as you were if you got it instead." Lucky was glad Tripod wasn't upset with him, which made it easier for him to continue listening to what he had to say. "That said, I know you'll get it before Mooch. You don't have to worry about that."
"It's not that Tripod." Lucky responded, and Tripod allowed him to explain as he continued speaking. "It's like you said. We gave it our all for to become Deputies. And when you got the position and I didn't, it felt like I missed something. Even after you told me what Colonel explained to you, I still couldn't help feeling like I wasn't good enough." Lucky did his best to contain himself, not wanting to get emotional at a time like this. Or any time for that matter. "And what if I can't get better at thinking my actions through in time for the next test? What then?"
Tripod put a paw on Lucky's shoulder as he offered him some more supportive words to boost his confidence. "Come on Lucky. I know you're not the type to have quitter talk like that." Lucky listened closely as Tripod told him what he wanted him to know. "I know what you've been doing since we came to this farm. You didn't let Lucy talk down to you at Hiccup Hole. You didn't give up on Blaze after learning he had ADHD. You didn't let Swamp Rat get away with stealing Colonel's scarf."
Lucky did look back on those moments fondly. Even if the last one was mostly done from his own impulse. Tripod had more to compliment him on however. "You let Mooch have it when he tried to sabotage Patch's time with Bella. And you went berserk on him when he went after you with that giant syringe." Lucky saw what Tripod was getting at. He really did have an attitude that screamed 'never give up'. And Tripod was well aware of this. "You've been giving it your all since we came here. Both with being a good friend, and a good leader to your unit."
Tripod could see that his attempt at support was working before making it clear to Lucky that he didn't want him to lose himself. "And that's the you I want to see when the next Deputy test comes. The same Dalmatian who's ready to ace every test that comes his way, protect his friends however he can, and beat us all at fart offs when we're having a good day." Tripod then put his paw up as he clarified that last one. "And yes, when we finish cleaning the town, I'm down to schedule a rematch with you on that last one."
Lucky nodded in response with him and Tripod giving each other a firm paw shake to show how serious they were about this. "Rivals forever. Right Lucky?"
"Until the very end." Lucky responded, and when the two let go of each others' paws, Lucky brought up something they should keep in mind. "Anyway, we should get back to our units now. We still have almost half the episode left, and we only had so much content for the finale as is." Tripod nodded in response, and the two then went back to helping their units with their part of the job. It was clear that Tripod reminding Lucky of his tenacious nature helped quite a bit. There was no question how well his family knew him, whether it be by blood or not.
Two-tone and Rolly were sitting together by the fence with the two noticing Bella coming over to them with crutches and a cast on her leg. Rolly didn't mean to sound rude as he commented on Bella's predicament. "You too, huh Bella?"
"Yep. You can blame Mooch if you want." Bella answered, making her way over to Two-tone and Rolly before sitting up on the fence. "Almost every call he made last night was some stupid try hard macho attempt at leadership. Dipstick and Whizzer almost died when he sent them up to the roof."
Two-tone and Rolly were shocked by that level of stupidity, even from Mooch. After looking at each other, Rolly kept the conversation moving. "That bad, huh? What'd he do that got your leg broken?"
"He shoved me to the side when I failed to get a door open, and failed to realize the stairs that were right on the side of me." Bella revealed, sighing as he brought up the one thing that she could comprehend about Mooch being a leader. "I reckon if Mooch didn't get third place in the initiation test, Mooch would've picked someone more qualified to be the third leader."
"You mean like you?"
Two-tone, Rolly, and Bella looked to see Colonel walking over to them as Bella happily responded to his question. "If that's an offer to replace Mooch, then I'm more than delighted to accept! I just hope my duties don't start before my leg heals."
Colonel laughed a bit before assuring Bella that wouldn't be the case. "No need to worry Bella. We'll wait until you're all better. Doing so also gives me plenty of time to talk to Mooch about this."
Lucky and Patch were walking back over to Two-tone and Rolly as Lucky told Patch about his current mindset. "And he helped me realize that my failure didn't mean I'd never be Deputy material. It just meant that I would be ready one day, just not today."
"Yeah. I'm pretty sure you've been told that since Tripod was promoted." Patch replied with a sly grin, making Lucky laugh a bit before the two noticed Bella's broken leg. They rushed over to see if Bella was okay. "Bella! What happened!?"
"Mooch pushed me down the stairs of our base without noticing until it was too late." Bella confirmed, finding it hard to dislike Mooch any more than she already did. "I'll cut him a bit of slack since it was an accident, but that's about it."
Lucky and Patch started to sincerely hope Mooch would be demoted for this. Lucky was quick to ask that as he looked at Colonel. "Colonel sir, please tell me you don't plan on keeping Mooch as a unit leader anymore."
"I most certainly do not." Colonel assured Lucky, knowing that he kept Mooch as a leader for much longer than he should have. "I love my grandson, but I also know that he's far from capable of leading a unit at this point in time." Lucky and Patch sighed of relief upon hearing that, feeling that it was the best call. After seeing how hurt Bella was, the last thing they wanted was for Mooch leading them any longer than he already has.
Later that evening, Lucky and the others were returning home, where the Dearly family was shown to have already been escorted back. The family members who weren't in the Bark Brigade were ecstatic with Pongo and Perdita running up to their puppies, and Spot's mother running over to hug her. The family members didn't hesitate to hug the first chance they got. When they did, Pongo was the first to express how relieved he was. "We were so worried about all of you. Especially after learning what happened to your base."
"It wasn't a pleasant night for all of us; let's just leave it at that." Lucky requested, being beyond happy that everything worked out. "We got through it though. And with a home to come back to no less."
Pongo and Perdita noticed the state Rolly was in and were horrified to see him bandaged up, which Perdita quickly expressed. "Oh Rolly. What happened last night?"
"Yeah, that was our bad." Lucky and Patch stated in sync remorsefully with Lucky rubbing the back of his head.
Patch then explained what exactly they meant by that. "Lucky suggested using the water to help us rise, and I helped him with that, and we forgot to consider sharks."
Lucky then made it very apparent with Pongo and Perdita that he didn't want any excuses made for him. "And yes, I know; it was my first time surviving a hurricane and leading others through it. That hardly excuses the fact that he almost died."
"The fact that you were ill-prepared could." Perdita pointed out before sternly looking at Colonel, who was with the cadets at this time. "It's almost as if leaving the Lieutenants at the beach with us was a bad idea."
That was an inexcusable oversight on Colonel's part. He was more than ready to take accountability for it. "I'm terribly sorry Perdita. And to the rest of you." The parents weren't exactly happy, and Colonel started to express how he wished he could take this mistake back. "An oversight like this should never be made by someone of my rank, or by anyone for that matter." Colonel suddenly got a message from Tibbs on his phone, which he had to take, hoping he wasn't being disrespectful by doing so. "Apologies again. I can't ignore messages from my staff."
"Communication is as important as safety." Pongo responded, understanding that he couldn't ignore any major part of his job. And in his usual laid back and optimistic ways, brought up one positive to what happened last night. "And now that I'm getting a closer look, Rolly's been patched up quite well."
Rolly nodded his head yes in response to that as Colonel then gained a stern expression in regards to what he'd just learned. "Why am I not surprised?."
This caught the attention of Lucky and the others, and Lucky was the first to ask about the situation. "What is it Colonel?"
"Apparently, Pug changed the instructions board I sent out to my lieutenants when I was taking a mental health day!" Colonel exclaimed, revealing a date that made it even more scummy. "And he did so a day before the hurricane hit Gruetly Bay! Oh he may be dense in other areas, but he's certainly dastardly with his timing."
Everyone else was appalled by this news; especially Lucky's family, since it had to have played a part in the injuries that occurred. Lucky's anger rose as he started thinking about Pug's scummy move. "At least Mooch wasn't TRYING to endanger his cadets! He practically signed our death warrants with that!" Lucky started tugging on his ears out of anger, which alerted Patch and Roxie, who were the closest to Lucky, along with his parents, to step in to help him calm down. "When I get my hands on that scumbag!"
"Not to worry Lucky." Colonel chimed in, having a plan in mind on how to deal with Pug. "I have something in mind."
The next day, Lucky and the others were at Bark Brigade class with Colonel scolding Pug for his actions. "So you're telling me that you deliberately sabotaged my instructions to the Lieutenants on a day you knew I wouldn't be on my computer, and left all of the Lieutenants thinking I didn't instruct them on that bit!?"
Pug gulped as Tibbs then brought up another point regarding Pug's actions. "And I hate to play the age card here, but Colonel is fifty one! He can't remember everything all the time! (Looks at Colonel) No offense Colonel."
"None taken." Colonel assured Tibbs, and Colonel then gave Pug a chance to explain his actions. "Care to explain your actions Pug?"
Pug gulped and chuckled nervously as he reluctantly explained why he did what he did. "Well ya see Colonel... I knew the base at the beach was going to be the safest location during the hurricane." Everyone scowled and glared at Pug as he continued to explain himself. "The temptations to exploit how enforced they were was too intense to ignore!" Pug then brought up a negative to that, which he didn't think the timing of through. "Even with your big butts stinking the place up so much."
"I bought air fresheners for a reason!" Tibbs exclaimed angrily while blushing heavily, and then Lucky came over to the three on impulse.
"And their butts don't have anything to do with the fact that you put all of our lives at greater risk for your own selfish gain!" Lucky surprised everyone, but he wasn't done, as he got in Pug's face and dug into his very core. "You're always doing this! And if you're not doing that, you're insulting everyone, or deluding yourself with that stupid cat war thing! TO! TIBBS'! FACE! The fact that your biggest regret about your plan is that Tibbs and Colonel fart a lot is direct proof that you're nothing but a remorseless, loud mouthed scumbag who only cares for his bloody self!"
Lucky's outburst surprised Tibbs and Colonel, but Colonel backed him up after he and Tibbs darted eyes to each other, and then back at Pug. "Everything Lucky just said about you is true Pug. The only time you've ever shown passion about your job is when you're yelling at your cadets, or doing something to benefit yourself." Pug was shuddering in fear as Colonel declared his fate. "And because of how serious your actions have been this time, I'm going to do something I should have done long ago."
Colonel stepped over to Pug and looked down upon him with his next words. "Pug, from this day forward, you're relieved of your Lieutenant duties effective immediately."
Everyone else started cheering with Pug trying to beg Colonel for another chance. "Please Colonel! You can't do this to me! I have nothing to go back to!"
"That's not my concern after you endangered the lives of children!" Colonel shouted angrily towards Pug, before then acknowledging his own fault in the matter. "And if I had checked my computer before heading out to the base, I would've seen what you did and corrected it. And I would've also learned that you somehow got my password!"
Pug chuckled nervously as Tibbs backed up what Colonel was saying. "I think it's clear you have no one to turn to here."
Lucky blew a raspberry at Pug, who attempted to attack him, only for Lucky to pin him to the ground with his paw before Colonel spoke up. "That will do Lucky." Lucky hopped off of the stage with Colonel getting back to taking care of Pug. "Your duties in the Bark Brigade end here Pug. You can stay on the farm if you can find a suitable place around here to live, but you will never have a role in the Bark Brigade again."
Pug was grumbling as he ran off with Lucky grinning smugly while sitting next to Patch and Tripod, who he fist bumped proudly when watching Pug head off. Colonel then addressed Mooch, who was waiting fearfully for what Colonel had to say to him. "Mooch. Your actions tonight could have gotten your teammates killed. You continued to act on impulse, and showed little care for the well being of your brigade." Mooch bowed his head in shame, which Lucky seemed to notice as genuine with his gaze. "That proves to me you aren't ready to lead a brigade yet."
Mooch spoke up; not to reject his fate, but to tell Colonel he wanted to do better. "I won't stop trying Grandpa. I'll be better."
"I hope to see it." Colonel assured Mooch, telling him what he expected to see from that point onward. "Perhaps one day, you will regain your position as a Bark Brigade leader. If we can get more cadets that is." Mooch nodded in understanding as Bella, who Mooch was standing next to, stood firmly as Colonel addressed her. "Perhaps Bella taking over your position will help with that."
Mooch was tempted to make a sexist remark towards Bella, but he bit his tongue and said something that surprised Bella. "I guess it would help me... work on myself."
The other cadets were surprised to see this considering how Mooch was before. Last night must have really shaped his mindset. It would take some time of course, but how believable this would be was going to be up to the future to decide. Colonel then finished the announcement by addressing everyone in the crowd. "I will do everything I can to make things right regarding what happened last night. I'll search for a new Lieutenant starting tomorrow. For now, take the rest of the day off." And that was exactly what Lucky and the other cadets planned to do.
Lucky was playing his guitar by the windmill with Patch sitting next to him. Roxie's voice was heard coming over to them during this moment. "Lucky! Patch!" Roxie was running up to Lucky and Patch, bringing up what happened today when heading over to them. "That was some ceremony. Mooch took his demotion a lot better than I thought he would."
"Tell me something we CAN'T agree on." Lucky joked before playing some more strums on his guitar and adding to the conversation. "He seemed to really regret what happened last night. I could see it in his eyes. I hope it wasn't just because he got busted."
"I guess we'll have to wait and see on that one." Roxie admitted, sitting down next to Lucky before surprising him with a kiss on the cheek. Lucky blushed a little and smiled as well, allowing Roxie to point out how compassionate he was. "He could learn a thing or two from you guys."
Lucky was flattered by the comparison as Patch chimed in with a question of his own regarding the Bark Brigade. "What about the new lieutenant for Bella's group? Who do you think it'll end up being?"
Lucky and Roxie thought about that one for a moment, unsure of what a new Lieutenant could bring to the table. Lucky chimed in with something to respond with, being his usual witty self as he did. "Hopefully someone who knows when to use their mute button." Patch and Roxie couldn't help laughing at that jab at Pug with Lucky continuing to play his guitar. It was hard for him not to think about Mooch trying to change or Pug being replaced, but he was still able to keep his smile over the fact that he and his friends all managed to survive the hurricane.
And with that, the screen faded to black, ending the season off.
An instrumental version of the main theme played during the credits.
