Jaune was sweating nervously...
Cat Viper was sweating nervously...
Izo was sweating nervously...
Yang was sweating nervously..
And even the usually calm Blake was sweating bullets...
There in front of them was one of the strongest members of the Beasts Pirates, Sasaki of the Tobi roppo.
"Huh, Orochi always thought that you guys survived his Purge all those years ago. Looks like all of his fears weren't for nothing."said Sasaki, who was tapping his sword on his right shoulder."I must say, I don't see what's the big deal with you Red Scabbards, you don't look that tough to me."
"Why don't you come over here so I can rip your throat out!"said Cat Viper, who didn't appreciate being insulted straight to his face.
"Calm yourself, Cat Viper! He's trying to bait you to attack so he can counter!"said Izo, who tried to keep his hot head of a friend in check.
"Stay out of this, Cat Viper! This one is mine!"said Jaune, who shot the mink a glare.
"Wha? Don't give me that kind of look!"said Cat Viper, clearly offended that his friend was giving him such a look.
"He. Is. Mine!"said Jaune slowly and clearly that way his hot head of a friend would get the message.
"Fine...but you better take him down!"said Cat Viper, who decided then and there to back down as he knew his friend was serious, and getting his friends way was not a wise idea as it would result in both of them getting injured.
And neither of them could afford getting any more serious injuries on their bodies as there was no way they would be in fighting condition for the raid on Onigashima! They needed to be in fighting condition if they hope to take down Kaido and take his head!
"Okay, what is going on?"asked Blake, wondering how Jaune and the others appear to know this monster who just cut down Adam like he was nothing.
"His name is Sasaki, and he's a subordinate of the enemy we all wish to take down."said Izo, giving a quick explanation to Blake and Yang was helping her up.
"So this guy's from the other world."said Yang, getting a nod from Izo.
"You two stay back as there's no way you can take this guy in a fair fight! Allow me to handle him! Cause one less member of the Tobi roppo is one step closer to taking down Kaido."said Jaune, causing both Yang and Blake to nod their heads and understanding before they got behind Cat Viper for safekeeping.
"Ha! You actually believe you can take down Lord Kaido! He isn't called the world's strongest creature for nothing."said Sasaki and I'm mocking manner, before he pointed his sword at Jaune.
"I always wanted to take on the 'golden tiger' who left a scar on Orochi. As well as the famous 'Crescent Moon' who was a member of the Roger pirates. Now I get to kill you and I'll use your head as proof that I deserve to be one of the All-Stars!"said Sasaki, as Jaune pulled out Kashu and Corcea Mors!
"Bring it!"said Jaune, before both swordsmen charged that one another.
"Arc style: Red Comet!" said Jaune while coating his swords with advanced ryou!
"Bullet-triceratops!"said Sasaki as he began to transform, shocking goes around him as he took a more reptile like appearances as he struck Jaune's swoards with a nose horn.
"Nani?"said Jaune, before he remembered that pretty much every member of the Beasts Pirates was a devil fruit user.
"Hahahah! I surprised you didn't I! I'm a man who ate the dragon dragon fruit - model - triceratops, making me a triceratops fish man!"said Sasaki, who was clearly in his hybrid form.
"How let's see you handle my full triceratops form!"said Sasaki, before he transformed into a green triceratops and charged that Jaune!
"Arc style: Crescent Moon Slash!"said Jaune, before creating his signature slash wave attack at Sasaki!
The triceratops on the other hand didn't even flinch as he bursted through the splash wave and charged at Jaune, before striking Jaune in the chest!
"Jaune!"said his friends with concern, before they noticed that Jaune managed to avoid getting pierced by the horn thanks to him intercepting the horn with Crocea Mors!
"That was a close one."said Jaune, who knew he was not dealing with an amateur as it was clear Sasaski was a member of the Tobi roppo for a reason!
And that reason was because he was strong!
"Hahahahahaha! Good, I expect nothing less from a samurai of Wano! Now let's see you handle my full power!"said Sasaki before he charged once more.
Before he jumped into the air, changed into his hybrid form, and began flying in the air like a helicopter...?!
"What?!"said Blake and Yang at the same time, as they couldn't believe what they were seeing as it was both ridiculous and scary at the same time.
"So you have full control over your body!"said Jaune, who was on guard.
"Of course I do as I spent countless hours trading myself to the feet that useless King and Queen! So mastering my devil fruit was just second nature!"said Sasaki, who kept flying up higher into the air.
"Heliceratops!"said Sasaki, before he began spitting around like a screw, before descending towards Jaune.
"Arc style: Great Red Spot!"said Jaune, before he created his signature tornado wave, and launched it at Sasaki!
The tornado of slash waves struck the triceratops fish man, who appeared to have been pushed back at first before he powered through it and struck Jaune, causing the young swordsman to cough up blood!
"Jaune!"said Yang, worried about her little sister's best friend.
"I'm fine...It will take more than that to kill me!"said Jaune as he got up from the floor.
"Your a tough one as most people wouldn't have survived that attack! Now let's see you handle it a second time!"said Sasaki with a sadistic grin on his face.
"Arc style: Asteroid Belt!"said Jaune, before he began thrusting his swords a bunch of times creating bullets slash waves at Sasaki!
This struck the triceratops hybrid into his surprise a few of the slash waves actually managed to cut through his thick skin, shocking him as his skin was extremely tough and it would have only taken very powerful attacks to pierce through it!
"How are you!"said Sasaki, clearly angered by the insult of being injured.
Jaune ignored him as he jumped into the air and struck his swords against Sasaki's rotating sword! The two swordsmen kept on intercepting each other's sword strikes over and over again, with neither able to get the edge over the other as they continued striking their swords against one another with such force that sparks were starting to fly!
Jaune well kept on pushing through as he knew that he had to take down Sasaki, as this guy could easily figure out this isn't a dream like Jack thought it was. And if he ever got back to Kaido and reported all of this, Remnant would be in immediate and grave danger!
"Arc style: moon splicer!" said Jaune, who then turned Kashu and Corcea Mors downwards, before he struck Sasaki with a reverse grip strike, causing the Tobi roppo to cough up blood.
"How dare you! Your just a ghost from the past!"said Sasaki, before he flew towards Jaune and tried to strike him in the back!
Jaune meanwhile quickly turned around and intercepted the strike with Kashu.
"Don't you know attacking someone from behind is a shame for a swordsman!"said Jaune, struggling to keep Sasaki from gaining the upper hand as his rotating sword was a problem.
"Who cares about honor when there is victory at hand!"said Sasaki, before he swung his rotating sword once more.
"Trick Mechanism: screw sword!"said Sasaki, before he struck Jaune in several parts of his body, causing gaping wounds to appear on his body as his Aura quickly shattered from the strike.
"Jaune!"said Izo and Cat Viper with concern.
Jaune look like he was going to pass out, so Sasaki use this opportunity to hold his sword as high as he could in the air as he towered over Jaune well in his triceratops hybrid form.
"You we're an interesting opponent but it's time I ended and focused on cutting down your friends as well!"said Sasaki, who swung his sword downwards with the intention of turning Jaune into mincemeat.
But Jaune meanwhile intercepted a sword with Corcea Mors! Blood was still falling from his wounds as he look like he was close to passing out, but there was no way he was going to allow himself to be defeated by a mere underling when his true target was the boss, and the guy in front of him was nothing more than a stepping stone to get to that boss!
"You are strong! I can see why Kaido made you one of the Tobi roppo...But there's no way that I'm allowing myself to be defeated by an underling like you! I made a promise to the two very important people in my life to help free their country from Kaido and Orcochi's tyranny! So if you think I'm going to let you cut me down think again!"said Jaune, before he stabbed Kashu into Sasaki's belly!
"Ahhhh!"said Sasaki, who quickly backed away as blood seeped out of his body.
"I don't care if I die! But I'm not dying here! And I'm certainly not dying by your hands! So let's strike each other once more and the one who successfully strikes the other is the winner!"said Jaune as he coated Kashu and Corcea Mors in advanced Haki so strong that the swords were glowing red.
"Ahh, so you have the will of the conqueror. But it appears you haven't fully mastered this power so I better strike you down before you become a threat to lord Kaido!"said Sasaki, before he began flying into the air once more.
"Heliceratops!"said Sasaki, before he began rotating his body once more with his sword as he flew towards Jaune!
"Arc Style: Blood Red Moon!"said Jaune, before he held his swords in a reverse grip, before positioning his hands over his face.
"Take this!"said Sasaki, before he and Jaune clashed!
The strike was so intense that it created a powerful gust of wind so powerful, that the nearby audience was nearly pushed back as they did their best to hold on to the ground so that they wouldn't be thrown into the atmosphere! Meanwhile with Sasaki and Jaune, it looked like that neither of their attacks connected until Sasaki coughed up blood, revealing an x-shaped pattern across his chest before he fell into the water below.
"I'll let the sea take care of you."said Jaune, before he pulled out some paper and wiped the blood off of his swords.
"Damn."said Izo, before he ran over to help Jaune, as his comrade look like he was about to collapse.
"I got you."said Izo while holding his friend so that he wouldn't fall.
"Thanks. Now you wouldn't happen to have any bandages on you as I'm bleeding out here."said Jaune, before his gunslinger friend started treating his wounds with binding rap he had on him.
Meanwhile Blake and Yang walked over towards Adam who surprisingly enough was still alive despite the many injuries he had on his body. It was cleared up both of them that he wasn't going to make it as his injuries were too serious and there was no way a doctor or a medic could get there on time to treat him.
"Any last words?"asked Blake, willing to give her former lover that courtesy.
"Long live...the White Fang..."said Adam, before he died from his injuries.
"Figured."said Blake, before she fell to the floor as Yang tried to help her up.
She then begin to weep out loud as despite everything Adam has ever done to her, part of her still cared about him and hope that he would turn back from the monster he became. But that was too little too late as there he laid on the floor next to her, passing on to the next World for judgment.
"It's okay, I got you."said Yang, trying her best to comfort Blake.
"Ha...Ha...We better find a way to get back to Wano as there's no way Sasaki's death will go unnoticed by Kaido. We have to speed up our mission and figure out a way to get back home. And the first step in that is getting to Atlas and talking to General Ironwood."said Jaune as his wounds were getting treated.
"Guys! I don't know what's happening on your end but we could use some help!"said Ruby's voice as currently she was being chased by a giant mech being operated by Cordovan!
"Izo, your up!"said Jaune, causing the former member of the Whitebeard pirates do not his head in agreement before he pulled out his guns and headed in the direction of that sounded like nothing but destruction.
"Hahaha! This is what you get for messing with Atlas! Now prepare to feel the full might of the Atlas military!"said Cordovan, who has clearly lost it in her vendetta against Maria and her associates.
But before she could use the giant energy can and against Ruby, Izo jumped in front of her and aimed his guns her!
"Ha, what do you expect to do with that?"asked Cordovan with clear sarcasm as she wondered why this guy was using such old looking guns.
Izo merely smiled before he aimed his guns at her.
"Slicing Rounds!"exclaimed Izo, before he fired his rounds at the mech.
Cordovan quickly realized too late that these were not ordinary bullets as they quickly struck through the window that was protecting her before her control panels were disabled with the second round! She realized too late that she had underestimated her foes. All she could do now was jump out of the cockpit as the mech fell to the ground, appearing to have been completely disabled.
As Cordovan landed on the ground, her Aura barely protected her from the height of the Fall as she Izo pointing one of his flintlock pistols at her.
"I believe you are going to let us go to Atlas without a fight!"said Izo, causing Cordovan to grumble on her breath before she raised her hands in surrender.
"Who are you?"asked Ruby, as she and the others approached Izo.
"I'm an old friend of Jaune's."answered Izo with a smile.
Nora, Ren, Pyrrha, Qrow, Oscar, Maria, and Ruby smiled upon hearing that as you realize they just got another powerful Ally in there attempt to get to Atlas.
And for now that was all that mattered to them as victory was theirs this day and unknown to them at the time, both of their enemies had suffered a significant blow.
Short chapter but I hope you liked it.
I was never satisfied with the Franky vs Sasaki fight as I felt like Franky Shogun should have been damaged, causing Franky to step outside his robot and take on Sasaki with his two manly hands.
But that's just me and I don't question what Oda Sensei does.
Anyway, that's it for volume six as next chapter we will officially start the journey to atlas!
Now I probably won't be going Canon with that either as it will be too expected and it will be just plain boring.
So I'm going to try my best to come up with new ideas for this story as I have a pretty good idea of how the final Arc is going to end. But there will be no spoilers as I do not give out spoilers.
