Rating: Ehhh...upper teen probs? Because they're married and er yeah well... Just know that this is pretty much the absolute closest you will ever come to reading me write smut... There's really nothing explicit, but...yeahhhh...

A/N: Thank you so very very VERY much to everyone who has supported me by favoriting, alerting, or reviewing! You all seriously make my day, and encourage me to keep creating and writing. I just keep finding more and more El/Bri oneshots in me, so these chapters keep getting made...although in all honesty, this was written because I've been having a horrible time finding inspiration to write, even on my WIPs (thus why I haven't updated in atrociously long...I'm terribly sorry!) But because of that, I asked for prompts via my tumblr, and this was written as a response to one of them! Anyhoo, I hope that you all enjoy this, and I'd positively love some feedback, even a simple "I liked it!"

~Childhood Innocence~

Elrond lay stretched out on the couch, Celebrían practically lying on top of him as she curled into his side. The brilliant sunlight of a spring afternoon spilled into the study through the open windows, which admitted a faint breeze laden with the scent of new growth and flowering blossoms. The papers littered across Elrond's desk fluttered restlessly, his work absentmindedly forgotten.

Celebrían turned over, resting her cheek against her husband's chest. His heart beat steadily beneath her ear, and his chest rose and fell rhythmically with each breath. One of Elrond's arms snaked lazily around Celebrían's waist, pulling her closer.

"I love you," Celebrían murmured, turning her head so that she was looking up at her lover's face.

"I love you too," Elrond replied, just as softly, and he shifted, sitting up just enough that he could lean down to brush his lips against Celebrían's.

Celebrían turned so that she was truly lying on him, her body pressing tightly against his, and she deepened the kiss. One of his hands rose to the back of her head, the other tightening around her waist, keeping her firmly pressed against him.

This, however, left Celebrían's hands free. They slowly began to roam as the kiss stretched on, her fingers tracing invisible patterns down his sides to his hips. She shifted suddenly, putting just enough space between their bodies for her hands to creep up across his stomach, and then they began their downward descent once more.

"Celebrían, what are you doing?" Elrond groaned, even as he shuddered beneath his wife's touch. Celebrían pressed closer, reveling in the way she could feel him respond to her touch.

Celebrían smirked into the new kiss she bestowed upon his lips. "You know very well what I am doing," she whispered as they broke apart. Her lips brushed against the corner of Elrond's mouth, then trailed down along the line of his jaw to his chin.

Elrond grabbed Celebrían's hands and pulled them away from him. "Temptress," he told her, his voice husky and his silver eyes dark. "You will be the undoing of me."

"Good," Celebrían rejoined, and then leaned down to take his mouth in hers once more.

Before her lips could reach his, however, Elrond moved suddenly, sliding out from beneath her and neatly dumping her onto her back where he himself had been lying but a second before. He grinned, and his eyes blazed with silver fire as his passion overtook him. He kissed her firmly, still holding Celebrían's safely in one of his own. His other hand, however, was anything but still, first pushing Celebrían's hair back behind her ears, then trailing down her neck to her shoulders, where his long, nimble fingers deftly began to open the small clasps holding the silken material closed.

"Now who is being unfair?" Celebrían gasped, her husband's fingertips trailing across her bare skin. She twisted her hands, and Elrond's grip broke easily. Her hands freed once more, she reached up and, her smirk back in place, began to fumble with the lacings on his breeches. Elrond made the task all the more difficult, trailing hot kisses down her neck and finally down toward her breast, driving Celebrían to distraction.

Elrond halted his downward encroachment as Celebrían at last completed her task. She took the opportunity to capture his lips with hers yet again, tongue probing his lips open, one hand reaching up to thread tightly through his hair.

A sound at the study door made them both freeze, the kiss ending abruptly. The door groaned as it opened, and someone entered with the gentle pattering of feet. "Ada?"

Arwen skipped into her father's study, eyes bright with excitement, cheeks rosy, hair all in disarray, and a broad grin plastered over her face. The first thing that she noticed was that her Ada was not sitting behind his desk like he usually was, and her smile fell.

Just then, there came a thump and what sounded strangely like a muttered curse from behind the couch. Even more strangely, however, was that the voice had sounded like her Ada. A second someone hissed at the first (the one who sounded oddly like her Ada), and then there was the sound of hurried movement and scuffling. Arwen frowned, her nose wrinkling and her lips puckering as she tried to make sense of what she was hearing.

"Ada?" she asked, taking a hesitant step toward the couch, then another. She carefully peered around the edge of the sofa, her small hands holding onto the edge to keep her from falling over.

Her mother was sitting on the couch, her cheeks flushed and her hair nearly as mussed as Arwen's. Arwen's frown turned to one of puzzlement – her mother's hair was always perfect. Her father, for some strange reason that Arwen could not even begin to fathom, was sitting on the floor beside the couch, looking mildly uncomfortable.

Celebrían smiled when she saw her daughter, and she opened her arms, inviting Arwen to come to her. Arwen hurried over and clambered up onto her mother's lap. She perched happily on Celebrían's knees, looking down at her father, who was all but sitting at Celebrían's feet. Her shining smile was back in place, and she wriggled with renewed excitement, now that she had at last found her Ada – and her Nana as well!

"Arwen, dear," Celebrían asked, redirecting her daughter's attention for a moment. Arwen looked up.

"Yes Nana?" Arwen replied expectantly.

"What is it you want?" Her eyes flicked to her husband, who was standing and unobtrusively finishing lacing his breeches. "You had something that you wished to ask your father?" Celebrían went on hurriedly, before Arwen's gaze would follow her mother's.

"Yes," Arwen chirped happily, and she bounced with barely contained excitement. She turned her head to look at her father, who had finished with his breeches and had crossed to the couch in that short moment. He settled onto the cushion beside his wife and daughter, who instantly reached her arms out to him. Elrond obliged, lifting his young daughter from Celebrían's lap and settling her onto his knees where she settled, somehow even happier there than she had been on her mother's.

"So, Arwen," Elrond said with a small smile, "what is it you so desperately wished to tell me?"

"Well," Arwen began, and she began to bounce up and down again. "I was out in the gardens with Elladan, and we found baby bunnies," she announced, sounding as if she was delivering the news of the birth of one of Finwë's sons, instead of some woodland creature. "I wanted you to come see," she went on, with just as much enthusiasm, "and Elladan said it would be fine and that you probably wouldn't be doing anything except work anyway." She had an intense look of concentration on her face as she tried to recall just what her older brother had said.

Elrond flicked a glance over to Celebrían, and the corners of her lips quirked up in a sort of wry grimace, as if to say, If only he knew…

"So will you come?" Arwen asked plaintively, noticing that her father's attention had been distracted.

"Of course," Elrond replied, looking back to his daughter and smiling. He tickled her sides, and then scooped him up into his arms, settling her onto his hip. Celebrían only grinned and shook her head – he could deny Arwen nothing, so long as it was a harmless whim or game.

"Nana, will you come too?" Arwen asked hopefully, turning wide eyes on her mother.

Celebrían chuckled, and then stood, smoothing her skirts. "Yes, I will," she said with a small smile to grace on her daughter and husband. "And why don't we find Elladan as well? We can bring a picnic out to eat with your brothers, how does that sound?" Arwen's excited squeal and rushed explosion of thanks was all that Elrond and Celebrían needed by way of an answer.

As they exited the study, Elrond and Arwen to find Elrohir, and Celebrían to collect a basket of food from the kitchens, Celebrían leaned in and kissed her husband on the cheek.

"I will see you in a bit, Meleth," she said. "We have some…unfinished business to attend to," she added quietly enough that even Arwen, who was perched on Elrond's other hip could not hear. Before Elrond had a chance to respond, she pulled away and was disappearing down the hall, her skirts rustling at her feet.
