A/N: Bakeku67 this is to answer your question, thanks for reviewing. I'm a bit stuck for ideas, so please give me suggestions, this also means this chapter will probably be short and/or sort of bad.
"Ron! Look at this!" Hermione calls, waving a piece of paper above her head as she marches down the hall to their living room, where Ron is reading the newspaper.
"What is it?" Ron looks up from the paper, folding it and setting it down.
"Harry sent a note." Hermione shoved it at him.
"What did he say that was so bad?" Ron cautiously took the paper and opened it to read it. "Dear Ron and Hermione. Draco and I are trying to work out what our last names should be. Please tell us your preference out of the provided names: Potter, Malfoy, Potter-Malfoy, Malfoy-Potter." Ron reads out loud.
Change of Place (And Time, and Perspective)
"Really?" Harry sighs, looking at the pancakes that Draco has placed in front of him. On them are the words 'Malfoy or Malfoy-Potter' drizzled in maple syrup. This is the 4th message like it that he had found today, there was the note stuck to his face when he woke up, the note in his pants pocket, and the message stitched across the front of his shirt, all of them saying something along the lines of Malfoy or Malfoy-Potter. He and Draco had been fighting over what their last name would be since getting married, and they had finally sent a note to all of their friends, asking them to decide. Harry had hoped that doing that would stop Draco from bothering him, but apparently it was not to be.
"Get used to it, it's going to be your name after all." Draco smirks, sitting across from Harry at the table.
"Not necessarily, the vote has not been decided yet." Harry grins, taking a bite from his pancakes and smudging the syrup so that it no longer spells the words.
Draco frowns, "I know that they will vote for my last name, it is obviously better."
"Is not." Harry stands up and kisses Draco quickly before cleaning his plate and gathering his stuff for work. "I have to go now, bye, have fun." He calls, apparating away.
At his office, Harry sits down and carefully considers things, he knows Draco, and he knows that if he doesn't fight against Draco's barrage of 'Malfoy-Potter' (he refuses to accept Malfoy as an option) themed items, he is going to end with that as his last name. Suddenly he picks up the phone on his desk and calls the number for the house phone that he had insisted they install. The second Draco picks up the phone Harry shouts "Potter-Malfoy!" and hangs up. Soon enough his phone starts ringing with an incoming call from Draco, but Harry happily ignores this.
"Harry! What is the meaning of this?" Harry looks up from his work to see Hermione barging through his office doors, closely followed by Ron. Hermione is waving a slip of paper around and Harry can vaguely see flashes of words written on it.
"What are you talking about?" He asks innocently, even though he has a slight idea, which is proven when Hermione slams down a piece of paper with his handwriting on it in front of him.
"Why did you send us this?" Hermione asks, gesturing to the note that Harry and Draco had sent to their friends yesterday.
"Because Draco and I can't decide on a last name, and unless I did something I was going to have Malfoy-Potter for a last name, and I just can't let him put his name first, so I figured that you would be more likely to choose Potter-Malfoy, so I suggested calling a vote among all of our friends." Harry rambles.
"Well, you figured wrong." Hermione says before Harry continues talking. "My vote will be for Malfoy-Potter." Her tone is final.
"But Hermione, after all we've been through this is the most hurtful betrayal." Harry protests weakly. He turns to look at Ron, "Come on Ron, back me up on this." He implores.
"Sorry Harry, I'm going to support Hermione on this one." Ron replies before leaning closer to Harry and whispering, "She's much scarier than you."
"I heard that Ronald." Hermione grabs Ron's arm and starts to drag him away, "Harry, I'm sorry, but Malfoy-Potter really does work better." She says to Harry just before she leaves.
Timeskip
Harry takes his time getting home, wanting to delay having to tell Draco that Hermione and Ron had voted for one of Draco's preferences.
"Answers have arrived to our question" Harry is greeted by Draco standing in the hall of their house, a slight smile on his face.
"Have they?" Harry replies carefully, walking past him, and removing his jacket before sitting on the lounge.
"Yes." Draco studies Harry, as though he is checking to make sure that he is alright. "The only people who haven't properly replied are Ron and Hermione, they said that they have given you their answer."
Harry sighed, of course Hermione had done that. "Well, they sort of said." Harry starts speaking awkwardly. "ThattheyvoteforMalfoy-Potter." The words rush out of him, barely discernable.
"What did you say?" Draco asks.
"Malfoy-Potter. Their vote is for Malfoy-Potter." Harry sighs. "Now, bye!" He rushes upstairs, closing the bedroom door and putting a rudimentary locking spell on it.
Change to Draco's perspective
Draco looks at Harry's fleeing back as he rushes upstairs. He hadn't meant to make his husband so uncomfortable, only to get him to admit that Malfoy-Potter is better. He sighs and walks upstairs.
"Harry?" He calls knocking at the door.
"What?" Harry's grumpy reply drifts through the wood.
"Can I talk to you?"
"You're talking to me now aren't you?" Harry replies. Draco sighs and unlocks the door, walking into the room.
"Look. I really am so-" He suddenly stops speaking, staring at Harry in surprise.
"What?" Harry looks at Draco, annoyed. Draco gestures at Harry in response, seeming beyond words. Harry looks down at himself and seems to realize what Draco is shocked at. "Oh." He grabs a shirt and puts it on, covering his torso.
"That's all I've ever wanted." Draco sighs happily, kissing Harry back. He pulls back and frowns at the shirt that Harry had quickly put on, "Why did you put this on, it was better off."
