Chapter 16: Give Me My Kids Part 2
After Raoul left, Meg and Phillip slipped over to their table. A waiter cam and got their food and drink order. While waiting for food they had a little small talk of the wedding. Phillip keeping his thoughts of his brother changing his mind to himself.
"Christine, you're my maid-of-honor," Meg gushed, and Erik you're out best man."
"Whatever," Phillip laughed at Erik's facial expression.
"Was Christine like this for ya'll wedding."
"We had a small ceremony. It was just Madame Giry and Meg there," Christine commented.
"Yes, she was. That is why they are considered sisters to me" Erik muttered.
"They could pass for sisters," Phillip agree.
"Anyway, I want Catherine to be the flower girl and Edward to be the ring bearer," Meg continued.
"They'll agree," Christine nods.
The waiter cam with their food and drinks, saving Phillip and Erik from anymore wedding chatter.
"On to more pressing matters?" Phillip asked. "What do we do?"
"I'm calling the police?" Erik replied, "Kidnapping is a crime."
"Yeah and so is murder, Erik," Meg comments referring to Erik's past.
"Do you mind?" Erik shot.
"Sorry." Meg stated, "Just thought to remind that bringing the police into this may not be a good idea. And I thought you were going to make him pay?"
"I want my kids back first."
Christine rest a hand on Erik's arm before addressing Phillip. "Phillip, is it possible Raoul could change and give my kids back?"
"I AM NOT WAITING ON THAT FOOL TO DECIDE TO GIVE ME MY KIDS! I WANT THEM NOW!" Erik growled dangerously.
"Erik keep it down," Christine scolds gently.
Erik blows out a breath heavily.
"It's possible, but Erik's right. That could be a wait."
"Phillip…"
"Christine, you know Raoul like I do. He is hardheaded and stubborn."
"I know," she sighs.
"Christine…?" Erik looked over at her, "I'm trying."
"I know you are," She smiles back at him. "I know."
"Let's leave," Meg said reaching for the check.
"You two head on back Phillip and I got a stop to make." Erik said paying for him and Christine.
Christine hesitates, "Ok. You two be safe." She follows Meg out of the restaurant.
