Naruto situated himself across the table from the raven haired boy, " I wasn't expecting a meeting so soon," he whispered as he tapped the end of his carton of cigarettes and let the unlit cigarette lay between his lips. Sasuke looked over at the unconscious pink haired Kurosaki that occupied the only futon in the room. They had managed to clean and wrap her wounds up between the three of them, well two, Kakashi just sat back and observed. Naruto followed his gaze.
"Kakashi told you?"
"Hn." The raven haired boy crossed his arms and leaned forward, "he told me that you found her."
The blonde sighed as he quickly lit his vice,"I see and you want me to fill you in?" Naruto nodded," and what is it that you want to know?" Sasuke glared at him, he wasn't in the mood for games apparently. Leaning back against the wall he playfully blew smoke rings, " I have in fact found her. It took quite a couple decades but I've found her... she barely discovered her power a few days ago and she has no recollection of her past whatsoever."
Kakashi tapped the small tea table, " I left before any of the action happened and I didn't sense any surge of reiastu in a 2 mile radius."
Naruto puffed the last of the cigarette before putting it in the ash tray," I have a theory about that. When she freed herself from the hollow her reiatsu color wasn't the blue from before, it was a soft pink. Her spiritual pressure seems to be nonexistent but yet she can see Hollows and has the ability to use a spiritual power."
The silver headed man glanced over at Sakura, " If I remember correctly, Sakura had perfect control over her reiatsu* and practically never put any effort in masking it."
"She could also manipulate it at will in various ways," chirped Sasuke. The blonde nodded, his hands reaching for another cigarette but stopped once he saw Kakashi's gray eye glaring at him. He had forgotten how much Kakashi disliked the smell of tobacco, his nose being sensitive and all.
"Well yes those are all valid points. But I guess we'll just have to see how it all concludes with all the strange variables involved." He glanced at Kakashi and Sasuke, only to see them nod in understanding.
Ichigo stared at the bed across from his, the bed still slightly ruffled as if someone had barely gotten out and quickly made the bed. He began wringing his hands in worry, he had managed to convince his dad that Sakura was merely spending the night at a friends house to get a break from everything that was going on. Luckily he believed it.
"If you keep making that face it'll get stuck permanently you know." Rukia sat in her closet, her legs hanging off the edge as she gently kicked them.
"Oh shut up, that's a myth and everyone knows it," he threw himself backwards on his bed and stared at the ceiling, anything to take his mind off the situation," I just can't help but think about Grand Fisher and Sakura."
Rukia jumped onto his bed and sat beside the window, her head slightly turned to look at the sunset, "I'm sure she's fine, Naruto-sama will take care of her. Just trust me." His response was a silent one as he shifted in his bed to turn on his side.
Since yesterday Rukia had a question wracking every corner of her brain, trying to find a reasonable explanation for it," hey, Ichigo?"
"mmm?"
"You said you and Sakura were able to see hollows and souls for as long as you could remember right?" She felt the bed shift once more as the strawberry sat up, a brow arched in question.
"Yea, why?"
Rukia looked away from the sunset and stared at him, "well thing is, I don't sense any kind of spiritual pressure on her. She has the reiryoku of a normal human being but can still see souls and Hollows. While you on the other hand see souls and hollows but you practically reek of it."
Ichigo kept his brow arched, " So I'm not catching the point of this..."
Rukia sighed," What I'm saying is that she shouldn't be able to see what you see, it doesn't make sense."
Naruto sat at the front steps of the Shoten, a white skirt and a sewing needle in his hand as he repaired the tears in the fabric. He was kind of glad to discover that after all those years he still had the touch when it came to a needle and thread. With a sigh, he stopped his progress and leaned against the wall, his transparent orange sunglasses in place and finally back in his tan cargo shorts and black hoodie. He looked down at the thread and needle, and drifted off into a distant memory.
He sighed as he pulled the thread through the green fabric swiftly as he could with bright pink hair tickling his whiskered cheeks, "Sakura I can't fix your dress if you're breathing down my neck." He looked over at the pink haired beauty beside him, wearing one of the simple green kimono's that he'd bought her to fit in more.
"I'm sorry," she sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, making sure to move her hair to the side so it wouldn't bother him much," it's just that I feel bad about ripping my dresses all the time."
He chuckled as he tied the end of the thread and broke it off before staring at his finished project fondly, " I don't mind, it means I get more practice out it." He kissed the top of her head before handing her the green dress bundle, his favorite western dress, the one she was wearing when they first met and every chance he got to fix it, he'd add a small embroidery.
"And beside, I barely get the chance to see you wearing kimono's or yukatas," he whispered into her hair, the light scent of green tea emanating on her person.
"But the dresses I wear are better when it comes to fighting," she pouted and all Naruto could help but do was kiss her on the lips. When he leaned back to look into her eyes he found them filed with surprise.
"T-that... that was my first kiss," she whimpered. Naruto wanted to yell at himself, god damnit. They'd only known each other for a couple of months and their entire physical contact was light pecks to the cheek or the top of the head and the barest of touches. She was after all barely sixteen as it was, and he wasn't in a hurry to move their blossoming relationship to fast. He was about to shy away when her lips caught his.
Ichigo and Rukia stared at Naruto as he gently touched his lips, his blue eyes cloudy while lost in thought. Reaching over Rukia gently prodded the blonde in the arm a couple times before getting annoyed and giving him the hardest punch she could muster.
"Ouch!" he cried, his shades slipping off his nose as he glanced at them, "sorry, got lost in my thoughts."
"It's alright, we just came by to get Sakura," Ichigo informed as he followed Rukia in, Naruto stood up to follow them; the white skirt in hand.
They found themselves up in Naruto's personal room with Sakura sitting up in a daze, slightly pink bandages peeking through. Immediately Ichigo ran to her side, his arm wrapping around her shoulders to help keep her up. Gently, she reached a hand up to pat his hand, "good morning Ichi..."
The older Kurosaki let his nose nuzzle her hair, "good morning," he chuckled.
In the doorway Naruto stood with Rukia, letting the twins have some time to themselves while Rukia spoke her concerns to the blonde. Readusting his sunglasses he crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway, "lets just say she has mastery level control over her power. To the point where she can actually manipulate her reiryoku for other uses." Naruto walked towards the twins, stting himself down at the end of the futon.
"Sakura, your wounds are healed but they're still tender. You should avoid being physically active for a while. Now there's another thing I want to run by you."
With a raised brow Sakura leaned into Ichigo, "what is it?" she spoke softly.
"I want you to come work for me."
