In the doorway Naruto stood with Rukia, letting the twins have some time to themselves while Rukia spoke her concerns to the blonde. Readjusting his sunglasses he crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway, "lets just say she has mastery level control over her power. To the point where she can actually manipulate her reiryoku for other uses." Naruto walked towards the twins, sitting himself down at the end of the futon.
"Sakura, your wounds are healed but they're still tender. You should avoid being physically active for a while. Now there's another thing I want to run by you."
With a raised brow Sakura leaned into Ichigo, "what is it?" she spoke softly.
"I want you to come work for me."
"You want me to what?"
Naruto smiled, "Come work for me," he started playing around with carton of cigarettes, "I assure you that there will be many benefits that comes with working here. One of them being that you'll get paid 1556.18 yen an hour."
The femme kurosaki stared at him with wide eyes and pushed herself away from Ichigo with a wince, " 1556.18 yen an hour? Can you even afford that?! I mean I'll gladly wo-"
"GREAT!," he exclaimed as the now lit vice hung loosely on his lip, " you start tomorrow." Naruto then proceeded to get up and leave quickly, leaving the twins and Rukia alone with one last sentence, "come over here right after school."
Sakura stared at the door at the front of the classroom, they had announced that they'd be getting a new English teacher along with a new transfer student, quite a double whammy for one day. She sighed and leaned back in her chair, tilting her head to glance at her brother.
"Ichi-nii..."
She watched as he lifted his head off the desk and stared at her, "hm?"
"I forgot my English book." He waved his hand, signaling for her to move her desk closer to his, placing the closed book between them while they waited. She glanced at her wristwatch, " Seriously... its 8:55" They should be well into their english class by now.
As if on cue the door slid open and a man with gravity defying gray hair stepped through with the class attendance book covering his face. Not to far behind him was a black haired boy who seriously looked like he didn't even want to be here, and from the looks of it he could use a serious attitude change. She,along with the rest of the class, stared at them in disbelief. Slamming her hands on the desk and stood up so fast that her chair nearly toppled over, she pointed an offending finger at the gray haired man.
"You're late!" she growled.
The silver haired man, who had both his eyes closed in what seemed like a smile, but she couldn't really tell unless he took the damn medical mask off his face, opened his right eye and seemed to ignore her as he turned around and quickly wrote his name on the chalkboard before tossing the chalk towards the black haired boy before facing them once again. She dejectedly sat back down with a huff.
"Thank You for the warm welcome," great... he was sarcastic, "My name is Kakashi Hatake and I will be your new English Teacher from now on as well as your home room teacher from now on. Please treat me kindly." He gave a small bow before waving a hand at the annoyed looking boy beside him.
"I'm Sasuke Uchiha..." That was it? That was his introduction? She raised her hand and from the corner of her eye she could see Ichigo trying make her put her hand down. He was too late, she was already standing up and speaking.
"Sorry Uchiha-san, but could you give us some more insight? I don't think simply saying your name will suffice." She waved one of Ichigo's hands away. In her defense she was asking nicely wasn't she? She even bothered to smile.
Sasuke stared at her with slightly wide eyes, before shifting his feet, looking like a scolded child, " I'm Sasuke Uchiha, I am transferring here from a small Island of Tashirojima," he glanced at Sakura who nodded at him to continue, " My birthday is July 23? Please take care of me?" he looked back at Sakura again only to see her sit down. 'Thank God thats over." he thought as he looked over at the teacher.
"Hatake-sensei, where should I sit?" Kakashi's right eye had a sparkle in it. Dear god the man was going to enjoy himself wasn't he. He watched as the one eyed man glanced around the room before pointing to the open seat.
Sakura followed her new sensei's finger, tracing it back to the empty desk before her. She glanced around the room. Most of the girls in the room were staring at him like he was a piece of fresh meat. 'For the love of God.' she thought, 'He's here ten minutes and he already has fangirls.'
Kakashi looked down at his cell phone as nimble fingers dialed his friends number. He counted how many times it rang before someone on the other line answered.
One ring.
Two rings.
Three rings.
Four rings.
Five rings.
Six rings.
Seven rings.
"Hello, Naruto Urahara speaking."
"Mah, Naruto everythings going as planned." He said as he sat down on a bench in the schools courtyard, " Sasuke seems a little bit iffed though. Sakura did the whole neutral tone and scary innocent smile thing and I swear to god it was like watching Sasuke as a kid all over again."
"HA! That kid's always been intimidated by her. Anyways just keep an eye on her for now. Have Sasuke befriend her."
"Alright. Got it. Talk to you later." and with that he hung up. He looked up at the sky, god he missed being surrounded by those cats back in Tashirojima... even if he was personally a dog person. Wait... maybe now he can get a dog!
Sakura stared at the shop. A strange man sitting on the porch that kind of resembled Naruto stared at her with surprise clear in his gaze. He raised a hand up and waved her over with his fan.
"Hi there! What can I help you with!?" He sounded pretty excited and the fan kept waving at her. Who the hell? She slowly made her way towards him.
"H-hi? I'm looking for Urahara," as an afterthought she added, "-sama." Rukia had used that suffix right?
The man shot her with a confused gaze, " Yes, that is me." The femme Kurosaki stared at him. This wasn't how she remembered him. This man claiming to be Urahara-sama was wearing an old fashioned dark green shirt and matching pants and wooden clogs. He had uneven stubble lining his chin and pale blonde hair framing his face with a strand falling right between his eyes with a green and white striped bucket hat.
"Urahara-sama?" She asked again.
"Yes?" He inquired.
"Urahara-sama." she stated.
"Yes."
She stared up at the shop sign, was she at the right place? Was Urahara a common last name? Did she somehow wander off into a parallel universe or a different dimension? Woah, she pinched the bridge of her nose, she had to stop reading science fiction. She continued to stare at the sign for a few minutes before confirming that, yes...this was in fact the right place. She turned to face the Urahara-sama imposter, "Alright I have no idea whats going on here but I'm supposed to work her and today's my first day. Now I don't know what kind of bullshit you're trying to pull off but I'm looking for Urahara-sama!"
The imposters' eyebrows rose so high they disappeared into the shadow of his hat, "But I'm Urahara!"
She was beyond frustrated at this point, she began to play with the cross hanging off her wrist in an attempt to calm herself down. She tore her gaze away from the imposter and stared at the entrance of the shop, hoping to spot someone she actually knew. Or at least spot the spiky haired blonde who wore see through orange shades.
Sakura was so invested into looking for someone to help her she didn't notice the man who she claimed was an imposter stare at her with calculating eyes before they fell onto her wrist with the cross. A small gasp escaped him. No it couldn't be, he closed his fan with a snap of his wrist before standing up and faced the door, a hand tightly gripping onto the frame as his head popped in and a loud shout of, "Musuko!"
Green eyes bore into the stupid striped bucket hat of the man she thought was an imposter. Well she thought he was an imposter until the loud shout of "Musuko!" tore through the sound barrier like a god damned jet at ground level.
Musuko? Why was he shouting for his son?
The sound of Tatami paneling shuffling around caught her ears and in what she counted to be seven precise strides a familiar spiky blonde head and see through orange shades poked through the door.
"Sakura-chan!" He rushed out the door and grabbed her by the shoulders, " you arrived earlier than I thought!"
Wait a second, did he just call her Sakura-CHAN? She snapped out of her thoughts, " Yea, I skipped out of club today."
"What? Oh no, don't skip out on school or any school related activities such as your club so you can come here! From now on, come after club. Got it?"
She nodded in understanding, " Sorry Urahara-sama. I won't make that mistake next time."
The man pouted, " No no no, don't call me that. Urahara-sama is my father," he pointed at the imposter who waved at her with his fan again and gave a cheery 'Kisuke Urahara at your service!' before her attention was back onto the blonde, " just call me Naruto!" His hand slipped off her shoulder and placed itself against her back as he began to usher her in, muttering things about 'getting to work' and 'showing her the ropes'.
Naruto began to gently push his new employee into the shop when he was suddenly stopped by his father. He looked over at the pinkette and instructed her to wait in the adjoining room before turning back to his father.
"Son..." Naruto just smiled at him. With a sigh his father grabbed his shoulder and gave him a reassuring shake, " Naruto... please don't get hurt this time."
