Xander walked Ampata to school on Thursday morning. They used the opportunity to talk.
Xander: So that creepy guardian won't come after you again?
Ampata: No. He was only suppossed to stop me from killing an innocent. Russell Winters was no innocent. Neither he nor I are threats to anyone now.
Xander: Good. But I'll still be happy when he's on a plane out of here.
Ampata: Me too. I like you Xander. Is there a chance we can be together?
Xander: I'm not judging what you did to him. It was either you and millions of innocents, or him. I'll give you an alibi if the police ever question me. But you killed a man, I can't forget that.
Ampata: And you can't be with me?
Xander: I'm sorry, but I don't think I can be with you.
Ampata: I'm disapointed, but I understand. Take care Xander.
