Chapter 109
On Saturday October 13th Joyce was cleaning her house. Buffy was at school for what Joyce hoped was her final detention, Dawn was with Steven. Joyce had the tv on in the background. The talking heads were discussing the final presidential debate this coming Thursday. Independent candidate Richard Wilkins now had the 15% required to be in the debate. Then the doorbell rang, it was a young girl named Violet.
Violet: Hi, is Buffy home?
Joyce: No, she's out with friends.
Violet: I'm in the same history class. I was sick yesterday and I was hoping to borrow her notes for the big test this week.
Joyce: She should be back soon. Would you like to come in and wait?
Violet: Thank you yes.
