Chapter 11: Yoshi's Island

Note: "Yoshi: to the original 11 Smashers...did you ever remember visiting my island for the first time? If not, then this story will refresh your memories by watching this (referring to an old videotape)."

The Smashers arrived in a mysterious island.

"Wow, Yoshi, your island looks cool," said Link.

"Yeah, it's bad A double you know what," praised Kirby.

"Thanks, both of you, I knew you would be interested in my island," said Yoshi.

"So, Yoshi, what is one thing should we learn about this island?" asked Fox.

"The island is full of mes. That is why it's called Yoshi's Island for a reason. You'll see myself but in colors," replied Yoshi.

"Look, there's one non-green Yoshi," Ness notices one.

They encounter a red Yoshi.

"Hello Yoshi, who are your friends?" he asked.

"RY, these are my friends," Yoshi replied.

"Nice to meet you all," said RY.

"Hi," they all said.

"Are you all gonna explore this place?" RY then asks.

"You betcha. Yoshi, let's go to see what your place has to offer," said Mario.

They explored more of the island, only to find out that it is just a small island.

"Uh, Yoshi, are you sure this is a big island?" asked Luigi.

"No, luigi, it's not. Why?"

"I thought it was a huge island. (groans)"

"Yoshi, what traditional stuffs does your people do here?" asked Fox.

"Great questions. We have tons of traditions. Come and see."

They went to the place where the Yoshis live, wood house.

"Nice unique house. I would love to live in one of these," said Link.

"Hey yoshi, great to see you here. Who are your friends?" asked a yellow colored Yoshi.

"My fellow smashers; from Smash Bros." replied Yoshi.

"Oh, I had heard of all of you and that game before," Yellow Yoshi said. "I love it!"

"Thank you," said Link. "That means you support Nintendo."

"Yoshi, how many of your kind live here?" asked Fox.

"At least 100," replied Yoshi. "you all will see them already."

"hey, Yoshi!" they all said as the Smashers approached to them.

"Hello. My friends are here to visit our wonderful island."

"Yoshi, what traditions do you all have?" asked Samus.

"Well, I almost forgot about that. Yoshis, would you care to tell them what are our traditions?"

Red Yoshi then chimes in: "We have a few Hawaiian traditions!"

"No way!" said Link, who is thrilled. "I had been to Hawaii before! Can you show us? I might remember."

"First of all, we have a funny tradition: we stay that punk head with the stick away from us," Red Yoshi continued.

"Why?" asked Luigi.

"Because if you all played Yoshi's Story before, Pak E. Derm would block us. So we do that until he is gone in this island for good."

"Awesome tradition. I would love to do that just in case Bowser kidnaps Peach," said Mario.

"Aw crud, he's still here!" said Yellow Yoshi.

"Don't worry, I got this," said the regular Yoshi.

"Now that I'm done explaining the first tradition, let the blue Yoshi explain the next one," Red Yoshi concluded.

"We have a variety of contests: from races, raffles, video game, you name it," Blue Yoshi told them.

"I am super jealous," said Ness. "at least I play the latter."

"Next tradition: avoid getting bad luck," said Blue Yoshi. "Now's the first Hawaiian one. Link, you remember this?"

"Oh crud I did. That happened to me in a trip to Hawaii. Bad memory," said Link.

Pink Yoshi explained the fourth one: "We hold a light up torch. That was Hawaiians do, right?"

"Yeah, they do that," said Red Yoshi. "As you can see, our island has a Hawaiian influence on us."

"And that's why most of our traditions are Hawaiian related," said Blue Yoshi. "Regular Yoshi, care to explain of how your island was found?"

"Sure," Yoshi said as he begin to explain. "One and a half year ago, we were at, of course, a random trip to Hawaii. While we were there, we thought the place was a huge paradise for us to enjoy. Therefore, after the fun stuffs at Hawaii, Yoshi's Island was born."

"Needs more explaining, but interesting story, Yoshi," said Kirby.

"Now do you want to have an enjoyable vacation at our island?" asked Yoshi.

Everyone said yes and so they did. From tiki lounges, hula dancing, and various other traditions, the Smashers did have a blast.

It was already 11 PM and they are on their last tradition of a day: restricting Pak E. Derm out of the island.

"OK, everyone, Pak is coming back once more, you all know the drill," said Yoshi.

They all agreed and they actually what Pak's doing expect that the sign said "no Pak allowed."

"What is this nonsense?" asked Pak. "Why are you people not caring about me?"

"Because you are stupid, and you are evil," said Yellow Yoshi.

"Oh, come on. I never done anything to you," complained Pak.

"Hey, man, we don't care," said Red Yoshi. "As much as you love Yoshi's Island, we are sending you back to (whatever Yoshi's Story level he appeared)."

"That's it! You people leave me no choice!" Pak said, making it the last staw for him and the Yoshis.

"Oh yeah? What choice do you have for us?" asked Yoshi.

"A showdown right now. We're gonna settle this like men," said Pak.

"Very well. Then it's a match," said Yoshi. If you win, you can stay here forever, but of course, if you lose, you're no longer wandering this island anymore."

"Good luck Yoshi!" said Mario.

"Win fair and square!" rooted Luigi.

"You can do this!" said Kirby.

It was just a simple match: Yoshi and Pak basically use their usual attacks. Pak's only attack though was the same as Yoshi's B move and it was risky. So Yoshi tries his best to avoid being eaten by Pak. Then, he literally have a light bulb on his head: licking Pak thus making Yoshi the winner.

Everyone applauded and the Yoshis finally kick Pak out of the island forever.

"Yoshi, you kick some butt tonight!" said Captain Falcon.

"That was awesome!" Ness praised him.

"Thanks, both of you. Apparently I know martial arts."

The next day, afternoon. It was already the end of a perfect vacation.

"Aw man, Yoshi, you have to leave soon?" asked blue Yoshi.

"I'm sorry, but my mentor needs me. Without us at home, he would be bored," said Yoshi. "But anyway, see all of you next time."

The Yoshis waved goobye to the Smashers as they arrive back to their home. The trip is surprisingly an hour from Yoshi's Island to Smash City.

Yoshi: "THE END. Thoughts?"

Ness: "Real good memory."

Fox: "Wow, I do remember that trip after all. It was one of our first vacay during SSB."

Mario: "Thank you Yoshi for somehow finding an old recording of us back in the day."

Luigi: "I loved it. I can't wait to visit Yoshi's Island again."

Pikachu: "Pika pika (Thanks for entertaining us)."

Link: "My memory is refreshed after the whole tape. A true memory indeed Ness."

Samus: "I didn't say anything throughout it, but it was totally a blast."

Jigglypuff: "Jiggly jiggy (Thanks for that tape Yoshi"

DK: "As a friend, Yoshi, I'm glad you restore our memories with this tape.":

Captain Falcon: "Same here. I loved it! Let's show it everybody else!"

The other 11: "FALCON!"

Captain Falcon: "Oops!"

Yoshi: "Well, there you have it. Now let's go find some more tapes."
