Chapter 22 Dad Rage

Lady Rainicorn was taking her children out of the fortress. Jake Jr. had been complaining about running from a fight for the past few minutes, when she suddenly stopped. Lady Rainicorn turned around and saw that her daughter had left the group! Lady Rainicorn knew she was going to go help her father fight, but according to her husband these villains were extremely dangerous! She hoped she was ok and that Jake would look after her.
In another part of the fortress Jake was entering a large room with weapons decorating the walls. Sitting in a large chair was Fight King.
"Why hello there dog. At last I have something worth fighting. I saw your little display of power in your battle with Kee-Oth. This will be a glorious battle!" Cheered FightJing as he stood up and pulled a short sword and an ax out.
"Bring it you you mummy prune!" Shouted Jake as he got into a fighting stance.
Fight King charged forward swinging his weapons, Jake quickly stretched out of the way. He then charged straight at Fight King, but the crazed warrior kicked Jake in the face and knocked him into a wall. Jake hit the wall with a thud and groaned. Fight King laughed and hurled his ax at Jake.
"Yikes!" Shouted Jake as he dodged out of the way just barely avoiding the ax by an inch.
Jake stretch shot one of his arms at Fight King! With super human speed Fight King grabbed Jake's arm and stopped it a mere inch from his face. Jake let out a shocked gasp as Fight King laughed insanely.
"Looks like I got you! I'm going to kill you painfully and then perhaps I'll stuff and mount you!" Laughed Fight King as he started spinning Jake around smashing him into the walls, celling, and furniture in the room.
"I want off this crazy ride!" Shouted Jake as he was smashed against everything in the room.
After a few minutes Fight King got board of this.
"I grow board of this dog. I must say I'm a little disappointed in you. I hopped you would put up more of a challenge. Oh well guess that power you used to beat that demon was a fluke. I'm just going to send you flying my way and impale you. It'll be quick and simple." Said Fight as he yanked Jake towards him and raised his sword up pointing at chest hight.
Jake just looked on in horror to injured to move. This was the end. After all the adventures he had been on he was going to get killed by a crazy mummy guy obsessed with fighting. He thought about all the friends and family he would never see again.
"I'm sorry everyone, but it looks like my life is fixing to be served up on a silver stick! I'll miss you all!" Cried Jake as a tear rolled from his eyes.
Just, when it looked like Jake was fixing to meet his end a giant blond fist swung in and hit Fight King making him lose his balance and let Jake go as he fell on his side. Jake landed on the ground in a heap, he looked up to see his daughter Jake Jr. running over to him.
"Stay away from my pops you creepy dead guy!" She shouted at Fight King, who was stumbling to his feet.
"Jake Jr. what are you doing here? I told you to escape with your mom and the others!" Said Jake as his daughter helped him up.
"Your nuts pops if you think I'm going to run away and let your bacon get cooked by some mummy dude." Said Jake Jr.
Fight King stumbled to his feet and glared at the retreating animals.
"Oh isn't this quite? A daughter helping a father. To bad it'll all be in vain once I kill you both!" Said Fight King as he charged forward with his short sword.
"Jake Jr. get out f here! I'll hold him off!" Jake as he tried to shield his daughter.
Fight King battered Jake with his sword handle and grabbed Jake Jr. by the throat before she could stretch or teleport. He pulled out some shackles and chained the young pup to a pillar. He the placed an apple on top of her head and walked back a few yards pulling out his crossbow and pointed it at the bound pup.
"What are you doing?" Cried Jake.
"I'm getting some target practice in." Replied Fight King as he pulled the trigger of his crossbow.
The arrow flew by barely missing Jake Jr.'s head she cried out in fear.
"Oh so close. Lets try agin!" Laughed Fight King as he reloaded his crossbow.
"Let her go! She's an innocent!" Begged Jake.
"I'm afraid not, you see she's part of your family and that atomically makes her an enemy of me. She must pay for your crimes. Don't worry once she's dead I'll get back to killing you." Said Fight King as he loaded another arrow and took aim.
"Noooo!" Screamed Jake as he staggered to his feet and raced at Fight King.
"Oh so you want to die first. Doesn't matter to me who dies first because your both going to die! Farewell dog!" Laughed Fight King as he spun to face Jake and fired his cross bow!
"Dad!" Screamed Jake Jr.
Everything seemed to go in slow motion. Jake head his heart slowly beat in his chest as the arrow whistled through the air. Fight King's laugh boomed as Jake Jr.'s scream echoed.
"Man I can't die like this in front of my kid! I have to survive for her and for everyone else!" Screamed Jake's thoughts as he felt a burst of energy go through his body.
Jake felt his body become more muscular and a horn grow out of his forehead. With super reflexes he caught the arrow between the fingers of his right hand a mere inches from his face. Fight King gasped in shock as Jake Jr. let out a cheer of amazement.
"Your in for a world of hurt!" Shouted Jake as he snapped the arrow and charged at Fight King!
Fight King quickly reloaded his crossbow and fired at Jake. The arrow flew by as Jake titled his head to dodge it as he kept charging.
"Impossible!" Shouted Fight King in disbelief.
"Here comes the Punch Train Express!" Shouted Jake as his right fist became giant size as he slammed it into Fight King!
The force of the blow was so strong that Fight King smashed through a couple of pillars and became embedded in a wall.
"Awesome dad!" Cheered Jake Jr. as Jake went over and freed her.
The room was filled with mad laughter. Jake looked over and saw Fight King pulling himself from the wall.
"I'm must admit your power is amazing! I never expected this kind of power from you. Now I can go all out!" Declared Fight King as he pulled out his giant golden sword and it started to glow.
Every weapon in the room started glowing as they floated in the air around Fight King and pointed themselves at Jake and his daughter.
"Oh glob his going to rain an entire armory down on us!" Cried Jake Jr.
Jake calmly put his hands on his daughter's shoulders.
"Don't worry I'm going to protect you. Nothing bad is going to happen to you, while I'm here. Your pops can handle anything that an old mummy can dish out." Said Jake as he got in front of his daughter to shield her.
"Oh isn't that sweet. A father protecting his daughter with a his own body. It almost makes me not want to kill you, but I'm going to do it anyhow! Your fixing to be impaled by my wrath!" Said Fight King as he waved his sword and all the weapons flew forward!
"Alright super special powers if there was anytime I needed some really cool it would be now." Whispered Jake as he looked down at his hands.
He felt a tingling sensation as his arms turned silver. Jake looked at his arms in amazement. They had turned into solid metal! Jake smiled with new hope.
"Thanks." He said as he stretched his arms about and started waving them about knocking all the flying weapons around and away from him and his daughter.
The room was filled with the sounds of clanging metal as Jake fended off all the weapons with his new metal arms. In a matter of seconds all the weapons were either lying on the ground or embed in the walls. Fight King gritted his teeth in anger.
"That all you got?" Asked Jake as he crossed his arms.
"Not quit." Sneered Fight King as his sword started growing with green energy and he flung an energy wave at Jake.
"Yikes!" Shouted Jake as he leaped over the energy wave.
Fight King got furious and flung several more energy waves at Jake, who twisted, turned, and leaped to avoid all the attacks. Jake got closer to Fight King and leaped into the air delivering a powerful kick to Fight King's face. Before Fight King could retaliate Jake punched him in the chest knocking him back a few yards.
"That does it! Your officially going to die!" Roared Fight King as he unleashed a huge burst of energy at Jake.
Jake looked at the approaching energy wave in horror. He could think of no way to defend himself, suddenly his horn started glowing and released a powerful blast of rainbow energy shot out and slammed into Fight King's attack smashing through it and smashing into Fight King himself, sending him flying back and through the wall. The villain was buried underneath a pile of ice and snow.
"Way to go dad!" Cheered Jake Jr. as she hugged her dad.
Jake returned to his normal form with all his wounds healed.
"Thanks. Now I need you to get out of here, there's a bunch more tough nuts in here.' Said Jake.
"Fine." Said Jake Jr. as she started to walk away.
"Don't worry I'll be back soon to tell you how it happened ." Called Jake with a smile.
Jake Jr. smiled a little as she walked down the stairs she came in through. The pile of snow and ice shifted as Fight King burst out battered and bruised, having to use his sword to to support himself.
"You may...have won this...fight, but the war is still on. My comrades and I have a special treat for you." Chuckled Fight King as he stumbled up some stairs.
"Come back here you!" Shouted Jake as he chased after Fight King.
In the shadows Scorcher had been watching the fight collecting information concerning the heroes powers for his master. As soon as Jake and Fight King were gone the assassin turned to some smoke and went to monitor the rest of the heroes unlock their powers.
