Chapter 25 Heroes vs Villains

At the very top of the ice fortress Bubblegum and Betty floated still trapped in their prisons. All of a sudden Fight King, Iceen, Heinous, The Lich, and Despairo came racing to the top. All five villains were battered and bruised.
Meanwhile in another dimension Hexo sat in his throne with StarSinister, Treasuro and Bella Noche standing by his side watching a floating TV screen that displayed the villains.
"It appears that our cohorts are losing. I wonder what their finally plan for attack is?" Said Hexo.
"I'm sure it's something devious." Said StarSinister.
"Hope it's something entertaining." Said Treasuro.
The villains continued to watch the screen as the heroes arrived to confront the villains.
"Alright you evil jerks hand over Princess Bubblegum and Betty!" Demanded Finn.
"There's no way you can beat us in your current condition. Just surrender the hostages and will be on our way." Said Simon.
"But if you feel like being stubborn will kill you now and send you back to the Underworld!" Said Marceline as she swung her ax through the air a couple of times.
The villains glared at the heroes then looked at one another. Iceen looked back at the heroes as he burst out into mad laughter.
"What's so funny you nutty old ice pop?" Demanded Jake.
"Your heroes are fools! I'll admit you took us by surprise with your special powers and all, but we still have one more trick are sleeve. I'm sure a bunch of you are very familiar with it." Said Iceen as he pointed his hands into the air.
Finn, Jake, Simon, and Marceline felt a huge wave of dread crash over them as they realized what Iceen was doing. The crazed ice villain had done this move before to fuse himself, Despario, and Fight King into one twisted super being. They could only imagine the horror that was fixing to come with the fusion of five villains.
"What are they doing?" Asked Flame Princess.
"There forming a super mega ultra baddie." Said Finn.
"That sounds bad." Said Flame Princess.
"It is and it's also incredible ugly." Said Jake.
An ice sphere formed around the villains blocking them from sight. There was the sound of lightning mixed in with twisted laughter from all the villains inside the sphere. Then the sphere started to crack and split apart. Then the sphere fell away revealing a new horrible villain. Everybody starred at the villain in horror. The new villain stood over twenty feet tall. The bottom half of the creature wore black and white jester pants and shoes. A imp like tail made out of ice rested by it's feet. The top half of the creature wore a tattered business suit with blue and brown robe with a black Greek mask of tragedy with a goatee in the center of the creature's chest and a brown cape on it's back. It had four long skeleton arms with two mini cross bows strapped to two of them. Two massive bat wings made out of ice sprouted from it's back. The head of the creature was a skull that had black, red, and blue decaying flesh hanging from it. It had a pointed nose, two curved horns, a white beard, and a lipless mouth with a wicked and perpetual grin. The creature had a red right eye and a left green eye. Above it's head floated something that looked like a mix between a crown and a jester's hat.
"We are Doom Lich!" Roared the creature with a voice so loud it shook the entire fortress.
"That's just all kinds of ugly!" Shouted Jake.
"Insolent worms you have come so far only to be utterly destroyed!" Laughed Doom Lich.
Finn stepped forward with a determined look in his eyes.
"Hey ugly don't get to cocky. You haven't beaten us yet, so you have no right to brag. Were going to keep your collective butt and send you back to The Land of the Dead!" Declared Finn.
"Ha! Definite to the end! We will save your destruction for last!" Said Doom Lich.
"You have to go through all of us!" Declared Flame Princess as flames appeared on her hands.
"Attack!" Shouted Finn as he and the other here's charged forward.
Flame Princess fired a fireball at Doom Lich, who countered with an ice blast from one of his lower arms that slammed through the fireball and into Flame Princess knocking her to the ground. Simon fired an ice blast at Doom Lich, who countered with a fire blast from his other lower arm that slammed through Simon's attack and into Simon knocking him to the ground.
"How dare you hurt my father and my friend!" Roared Marceline as she flew forward swing her ax.
"Foolish vampire child, you will fall just as they did!" Said Doom Lich as several shadowy tendrils leaped from one of his upper arms and shot towards Marceline!
Marceline swung her ax and deflected several of the tendrils, but for everyone she deflected another two would take their place. Soon there was to many for Marceline to deflect. Several tendrils got through her defenses and stabbed into several parts of her body! Marceline screamed in pain as Doom Lich laughed in triumph. The evil being tossed Marceline to the ground in a heap.
"Marcy! I'll crush this creep!" Shouted Jake as he made himself as big as Doom Lich and threw a punch at the evil being.
Doom Lich threw one of his upper arms at Jake's fist at the Doom Lich's arm got closer several swords, ax, arrows, and maces seemed to sprout from the arm. The arm of weapons slammed into Jake's fist making him scream in pain. Jack reeled his arm back in and clutched it. The Doom Lich fired an arrow from one of it's crossbows and hit Jake in the shoulder with it! Jake screamed in pain as he shrank back to his normal size.
"One by one you will all fall!" Declared Doom Lich.
"I'm going to make you pay for all of this! I'm going to tear you apart and send you back to the Underworld!" Declared Finn as he pulled out his sword and charged forward.
Doom Lich fired ice, fire, shadow tendrils, and bladed weapons at Finn trying to crush the brave warrior. Finn nimbly dodged all the attacks as he got closer to the Doom Lich. With a mighty burst of energy he leaped into the air swinging his sword at the Doom Lich's chest. Before he could connect though, a bunch of lighting shot out of the mask on the Doom Lich's chest and stuck Finn! Finn screamed as he was bombarded with energy. Doom Lich opened his mouth up and released a huge blast of green fire! Finn screamed as the flames slammed into him burning his body. After a few seconds Doom Lich stopped his attack and dropped Finn to the ground. Finn was a horrible sight, his body was covered in burns and his hat was burn inked to a crisp spilling out his golden blond hair. Finn just laid on the ground not moving.
"Finn!" Cried Flame Princess.
"One by one your lights will all be extinguished! Then there will only be darkness! You puny heroes never stood a chance of beating us and rescuing those you care about. All your struggles have lead to this! This is your end! This is where you die! There is no hope for the universe!" Laughed Doom Lich.
All the remaining heroes looked at the ground in despair.
"Hey...jerk! I'm...not dead! I...can...still fight!" Groaned Finn as he stumbled to his feet looking defiant.
"So the little hero still has some fight left in him. I'll fix that!" Said Doom Lich as he brought all four of his arms up and brought them down towards Finn!
Before the fist could strike Finn down a massive wall of ice sprung up before him and blocked the attack. Doom Lich's hands became embed in the ice and he couldn't move them. Simon stood by and wiped some sweat from his brow, he had just managed to save Finn from the attack. He turned towards the other heroes.
"Flame Princess help Finn. The rest of us will try to deal with Doom Lich." Said Simon.
Flame Princess nodded and flew towards Finn, while the others raced off to deal with Doom Lich.
"Come on Finn we need to get you out of here." Said Flame Princess as she lower her body temperature and grabbed Finn.
She flew Finn to the far side of the room away from Doom Lich.
Marceline and Jake were taking advantage of Doom Lich's current situation. Marceline transformed into her giant bat form, while Jake made himself large. The two heroes started to pummel the trapped villain inflicting several wounds on him. Finally Jake and Marceline slammed their fist down on Doom Lich's exposed arms smashing them off the villain. Doom Lich staggered back with no arms as Jake and Marceline charged forward and delivered a double uppercut to the villain knocking him to the ground. Simon flew forward creating a giant block of ice with his powers which he then smashed on top of Doom Lich. The villain laid under the rock not moving. It seemed like he was dead.
Flame Princess was tending to Finn as best she could. Finn wasn't looking to good.
"Come on Finn will get you through this. Will save everyone...,and go on a date because I love you." Said Flame Princess as her body started to glow gold and she kissed Finn.
Immediately Finn's injuries started to heal up. Finn smiled up at Flame Princess.
"Thanks. I love you to." Said Finn as he stood up. "Now lets go rescue our friends."
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Isn't that precious the heroes think they won! This battle is far from over!" Boomed Doom Lich's voice.
The ice block shattered and the evil being stood up with shadows twirling around him forming new skeleton arms. All the heroes starred in shock at how easily the villain had recovered.
"Time for you all to face true despair!" Laughed Doom Lich as thousands of shadows formed hands and arms around the evil being.
All the arms punched out striking Jake, Marceline, and Simon! The three heroes fell to the ground in a heap. Marceline and Jake reverting back to their normal forms. Doom Licth shot lighting from the mask on it's chest and grabbed Flame Princess dragging her forward. The fire elemental girl screamed as her body was bombarded with lighting then blasted with ice and green fire. After a few seconds Doom Lich dropped Flame Princess to the in a heap. The elemental heroes flames died out and she laid on the ground unmoving.
"Flame Princess!" Cried Finn as he rushed over to her.
"Take it in hero. That is what await you and all your friends. I will crush those most important to you then I will kill you." Said Doom Lich as he walked over to the spheres holding Betty and Princess Bubblegum.
Doom Lich formed a massive ice scythe preparing to swing it at the two trapped prisoners. The evil being let out a laugh as he swung his weapon. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. Just when the scythe was fixing to strike the prisoners a giant pillar of ice flew from the ground and slammed into Doom Lich smashing his weapon and sending him flying back several feet. The villain staggered back trying to recover, but Marceline flew in with her super form and started to slash Doom Lich with her ax.
"I'm not going to let you hurt my friends and family!" She shouted as she delivered a powerful slash across Doom Litch's chest scarring the mask on his chest.
Doom Lich roared in anger and pain, he tried to fire some lighting at Marceline, but Simon flew in with two giant ice gauntlets on his hands and started to pummel Doom Litch.
"Your twisted evil ends today!" Shouted Simon as he attacked.
Doom Lich staggered underneath the onslaught of blows, unable to counter. Finally Simon formed an ice sword and Marceline hefted her ax with both hands. The father and daughter struck Doom Lich together with both their weapons! The Doom Lich screamed in pain as he fell to ground energy leaking out of his wounds as his two lower arms fell off. Simon and Marceline floated above the evil being breathing hard. It looked like the battle was over.
Then Doom Lich let out a horrible roar as he shot back to his feet his hands glowing with a mixture of ice, fire, and shadows.
"Enough! I will not be beaten by some puny heroes and their love! I am the ultimate doom! Die!" Roared Doom Lich as he sent Simon and Marceline flying with a massive burst of green fire and shadow energy.
Both heroes hit the ground and transformed into their regular forms. Doom Lich howled in victory. Then his eyes landed on Finn and Flame Princess. The evil being grinned wickedly and started to make his way towards them.
Finn leaned over Flame Princess with tears in his eyes.
"You can't be dead! I...love you!" He cried as he kissed Flame Princess on the lips.
A warm energy went through both Finn and Flame Princess. The elemental hero opened her eyes and looked up at Finn with a small smile, her flames starting to return.
"I...love you to." She said as she kissed Finn back.
"I'd love to see you both die painfully!" Said Doom Lich as he started to form a giant green fireball to throw at the heroes.
"I'll deal with creep." Said Finn as he stood up pulling out his sword.
Finn glowed with light energy as his sword glowed with golden fire. Doom Lich fired the giant fireball at Finn, who charged forward. Finn's sword met with the fireball and sparks flew, with a great deal of effort Finn sliced the fireball in two destroying it! Finn charged straight at Doom Lich.
"Impossible! How does he keep finding the strength to keep moving forward?!" Roared Doom Lich as he swung his massive claws at Finn.
"I'll tell you why creep! I got the power of love and no matter what you do love will always find a way to beat creeps like you!" Shouted Finn as he jumped over Doom Lich's swing and started running up one of his arms towards his head.
"A stupid emotion can't beat me! I am INVINCIBLE!" Screamed Doom Lich as he shot lightning from his eyes.
"You still don't get! Love is the most powerful thing ever! And I'm got pouring through my pours and I'm going to use it to beat you!" Shouted Finn as he deflected the lightning.
Finn jumped into the air, grabbing his sword with both hands as he brought it down with a downwards slice, slicing Doom Lich in half!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Screamed Doom Lich as he exploded creating a huge cloud of black smoke.
Finn turned away from the explosion and gave all the other heroes a thumbs up. All the heroes staggered to their feet as the spheres that held Betty and Bubblegum descended to the ground and vanished. Betty ran over and hugged Simon and Marceline. Bubblegum went to go thank Finn and the others.
"This isn't over yet!" Called a voice from the smoke.
Everybody turned to see The Lich and the other villains stagger out of the smoke. The villains were in horrible shape. Their bodies covered in scars and cracks.
"Looks like these guys can't keep themselves together." Said Finn.
"This will be easy." Said Jake as he stumbled over and punched Fight King in the face.
"Aaaaaa! No I wanted fight some more!" Cried Fight King as his body crumbled to pieces.
Flame Princess fired a small burst of fire at Despairo hitting him in the chest.
"No! I'm supposed to make you fall apart with despair! I'm not supposed to fall apart!" Cried Despairo as he crumbled o pieces.
"It's time you go away for good Iceen." Said Simon as he punched Iceen in the face.
"No! I lost again! You killed me again! Curse you!" Shouted Iceen as his body crumbled to pieces.
"This is for my father and all the people you've hurt!" Said Marceline as she delivered a powerful punch to Heinous's face.
"The Lord of Evil was beaten by a hafling again! This can not be!" Screamed Heinous as his body crumbled to pieces and all the souls he had stolen flew out of his remains.
Finn punched the Lich in the chest.
"Well done Finn, but I'm afraid your victory will be short lived. Hexo will destroy everything. There's no way that you'll be able to defeat him. All the light will be extinguished and darkness shall prevail." Said The Lich.
"Will just see about that." Said Finn.
The Lich laughed as he crumbed to dust. A black and green ghostly entity flew out of his remains. Finn pulled out his sword and swung at the entity, but it flew away from him.
"Well that takes care of those villains for the time being. Now what?" Asked Jake.
"Now I come in and finish you all off." Said a voice.
Everything in the room turned black as five figures appeared in the room. They were Hexo, StarSinister, Treasuro, Bella Noche, and Scorcher. The ghostly entity from The Lich floated around Hexo making the powerful being look more fearsome.
"You have worked so hard to defeat those villains. Allow me to reward you with the gift of absolute destruction!" Declared Hexo.
