Episode 19: Yoshi's Egg

An egg is delivered to Yoshi who believes it's his son. (206)

At Yoshi's Island, the leader was giving an announcement.

"Attention, people of the island! We got great news! I found eggs! Aren't they're egg-scelent? Get it?"

Laughter.

"You made too much funny puns, chief," said Red Yoshi.

"That's why we love you," said Blue Yoshi.

"How many eggs did we got?" asked Pink Yoshi.

"A hundred," replied the leader. "But this right here I'm holding seems to be a mystery."

"It has green dots," said Red Yoshi.

"I'm curious about that," said Mother Yoshi.

"Me too, I'm betting it our very own Yoshi, the regular colored one," said Father Yoshi.

"I think so, but he isn't here right now," said Leader Yoshi. "Anyone knows his address?"

"Smash Mansion at Smash City, CA," said Blue Yoshi.

"Thanks for the address, I'll send it to the Green Yoshi," said the leader.

"I wonder how Yoshi gonna react with the egg," said Pink Yoshi.

The leader puts a box and then he takes it to the mail and it delivers by flying to its address.

At the mansion, Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, and Peach are at Yoshi's room playing his game "Yoshi's Story" for the N64. Then a doorbell is heard.

"I'll go get it, it's probably for me," said Yoshi as he went to the doorbell.

"This game never gets old," said Luigi. "I'm with you, it's like Super Mario 64 but with Yoshi," said Mario.

"Not really," said Peach. "It's kind of a spin off."

"Much like my games," said DK.

"Fellas, look what I got!" said Yoshi.

"It's a special delivery box," said Mario.

"Open it, I love special deliveries," said Luigi.

Yoshi does so but first, it's a letter. He reads:

"Dear Yoshi, what you getting is the most unique egg: the Yoshi Egg. Take care of it while you send it this address: Planet Dinosaur. Be careful out there, there are still dinosaurs in this world."

DK laughs. "I'm so sure about that."

"Well, fellas, looks like a risky adventure. Let's go," said Yoshi.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong are taking Flight 6, which takes riders unknown places.

DK: So, what exactly is this egg about?

Yoshi: As you can see, in the games, when I get a shield, mine looks exactly like this egg.

Luigi: There's still dinosaurs?

Mario: How weird.

Peach: What do you think the egg may have?

Yoshi: I don't know, but let's just rest for a while. I'm getting tired.

The rest of the gang: OK.

The Mario gang all took a nap until they arrived at Planet Dinosaur, a place as the name said, is full of dinosaurs (Yoshi's kind).

DK: Wow, this place looks better than my country.

Yoshi: I've never been to this place before. Is this where my kind live in now?

Peach: I guess, dinosaurs are extinct.

Luigi: So Yoshi, how long until the egg of yours hatch?

Yoshi: I don't know...

Mario: Maybe let's go grab something to eat and we can let it hatch itself, ok?

Yoshi: I'm also doubtful about that, but ok. (to egg) Just wait right here, we're gonna have a meal.

As they left, it seems like he jinxed it. The egg has stay put, but it looks like it was about to hatch.

DK: So what's gonna be inside the egg? Some sort of new member to your family?

Yoshi: Maybe, if so, that would be nice. My family is quite big though. it would be a nice addition.

As they continue their conservation, the egg had hatched. 30 minutes later, Yoshi got his wish.

Yoshi: Whoa, guess I was right. Look, this egg hatched.

Mario: Uh,is that thing suppose to look like you?

Luigi: I don't see the resemble. Looks more like an unrevealed species.

DK: I think it's trying to say something.

(Random gibberish from the baby dino)

Peach: What did it say?

Yoshi: I think he said that someone is coming here soon once the hatching occur.

Mario: SO where is he?

Luigi:Ah, someone's coming. Perhaps it's the person you were talking about?

Chief of the Yoshi: Hey fellas. Just wanted to tell you something.

Yoshi: Me too, my son had hatched. I don't think it's related to me, but he has my look.

Chief: Uh, here's the weird thing. This whole thing is a misunderstanding.

Mario, Luigi, DK, Peach, and Peach's jaws dropped.

All: WHAT?

Yoshi: But isn't supposed to be for me? For Easter?

Chief: What, no, you dumbass. It was supposed to be another dinosaur like you.

Luigi: Wait,so whoever is it he was supposed to be green.

Chief: I'm afraid so.

Yoshi: Well, damn it, I wanted to have a son. It makes me feels like a real parent. And I think it likes me. Look at it.

The baby dino is admiring Yoshi's fatherly personality towards him.

Mario: Geez, this is just awkward. And it's confusing as well.

Chief: The truth is this egg belongs to another dinosaur named Tom.

Tom: (comes in) Oh hey, is that supposed to be my son?

Chief: Yeah, sorry for the mishap. I hope Yoshi didn't mind taking care of it, don't you?

YoshI: no, not at all...although I'm disappointed.

Tom: You look kinda down. Is it okay if you don't bond with it one more time?

Yoshi: (gasps) Really, you mean it?

Tom: Yeah, if it doesn't depresses you?

Yoshi: alright, well, see you all later.

DK: Bye. Hey, Mario, where do baby animals came from?

Mario: I really don't know. Do people just screw each other?

Peach: This is making me feel uncomfortable, Mario.

Luigi: Yeah, me too.

Mario: There's more. Maybe two parents have sex with each other, but I think it's a theory.

As Luigi, DK, and Peach get disgusted as Mario's sex talk, YOshi bond with his "supposedly" egg one more time.

10 years in the future...

Mario: Hey Yoshi, do you know what it is?

Yoshi: uhhhhh...I really don't know.

Mario: Hehehe, it's your so-called "son", silly.

Yoshi: (suddenly remembers) OMG I remember now. How did you do that?

Mario: We got footages of our past moments.

The story ends as it shows "Past Moments of the Smashers."
