Chapter 27 The Beginning of the End

A day went by since the heroes victory at the ice fortress, however they could all feel that a more dangerous threat was on the way. After Finn and the others were healed up they trained with one another and just spent time with each other and their other loved ones. One day the heroes along with Betty, Lady, and the pups were jousting sitting in a field just starring at the sky.
"You know it's cray this whole fight to save the universe. It just seemed that every battle has been leading up to this. I'm...scared guys. What...if we fail and everything we care about will be destroyed. That's just a whole lot of stuff." Said Finn.
"Come on man, we've beaten bad guys all the time and we can beat this Hexo creep! His no different from an of the other guys we've fought." Said Jake.
"I know Jake, but Hexo, he feels way stronger and way more evil then all the other villains. His like nothing we've ever faced before." Said Finn.
"That may be true, but were not ordinary either. It may look bad and dark, but there's going to be a bright future at the end of this adventure. You must never give up hope. Trust me I know what it's like to be in a dark place that seems hopeless, but in the end I managed to find my way back with the help of those closest to me. I'm not going to stand around and let that psycho Hexo have his way!" Said Simon.
Marecline and Betty got close to Simon and have a group hug.
"I love Simon." Said Betty as she kissed Simon on the lips.
"You still know what to say even after all these years. You will always be a hero and...my father in my eyes." Said Marceline as she hugged Simon. "Will get through this together."
Simon turned to the others.
"You see this is what were fighting to protect. A world with love and light is truly a world worth fighting for." Said Simon.
"Yeah your right! Were fighting for love and peace everywhere! Love and peace is what makes this universe!" Shouted Finn.
Flame Princess walked over to Finn.
"Hey when this is all over, I want us to be more then just friends. Before I met you Finn I was an angry lonely child with no friends and a family that told me to be evil, but then I met you and you showed me a different side to life. That I had a choice about what I wanted to be. You showed me love and...I love you a lot." Said Flame Princess as she lowered her body temperature and kissed Finn passionately.
Finn returned the kiss. Jake stretched his fingers to cover his children's eyes while he kissed Lady. A few minutes latter both Finn and Flame Princess stopped kissing.
"I...love you a lot to Flame Princess. I've never loved anyone like this before. I feel like were meant to be together as more then boyfriend girlfriend." Said Finn.
The two young heroes kissed one another again. In that moment the dread of the upcoming conflict was forgotten everyone was at peace.
In Hexo's lair the villain watched the heroes on a floating screen with disgust.
"Ba! Those heroes and their love think they can defeat me? Don't make me laugh! I have defeated my brother and his goody good friends and they were practically gods! Now a young boy, a a young flame girl, a dog, a vampire demon hybrid, and an old pathetic man with ice powers are going to my biggest challenge. That's the dumbest thing I've ever hear! I will go to their world destroy their precious world and everything they hold dear and then I will kill the heroes one by one!" Said Hexo.
The Ultimate Destroyer floated nearby with the time curse still in affect. The Lich's essence floated around Hexo whispering about revenge and destruction of all life. It sounded like sweet music to Hexo, as he called his minions to him. StarSinister, Treasuro, Bella Noche, and Scorcher walked into the room.
"Today we will put an end to the heroes. The time curse only has a couple of hours left and then we can use the Ultimate Weapon. We will go to Ooo and strike fear and despair into the heroes and everyone on the planet!" Declared Hexo.
All the villains grinned and laughed in approval. Hexo waved his hands and the enormous fortress vanished from the negative universe heading to Ooo.
The fortress arrived floating before the planet. Everybody on Ooo saw the horrible fortress and starred up at it in horror. Then Hexo's voice boomed out from it.
"Hello everyone I am Hexo the Destroyer! I've come to tell you that you will all be completely annihilated from existence in about two hours. There is nothing you can do to stop me and there are no heroes, who will come save the day. This is the end and there is nothing you can do to prevent it!" Said Hexo.
All throughout the lands the various people panicked and screamed. At the tree fort Finn and the other heroes looked up at the fortress.
"It looks like the finally battle has arrived." Said Finn.
"Yeah, but how do we get inside that fortress?" Asked Jake.
"I'll help you get there." Said Death as he appeared in a flash of light.
Death taped his hoe staff to the ground and the heroes were teleported to the fortress. The group found themselves in a large room covered in tapestries and weapons.
"This is far as I can take you. You must continue on alone. I would help, but it is your destiny to fight Hexo and his forces. I'm not allowed to interfere." Said Death.
"Thanks Death. Do you think we can win?" Said Finn.
Death looked at all the heroes with a small smile.
"I know you can win. All of you are special and your are driven by the most powerful thing in the universe. Don't lose fate in yourselves and you will succeed." Said Death as he teleported away.
"Well guys lets get going." Said Finn.
The heroes marched down the hallway ready for battle.
In his throne room Hexo sensed the heroes arrivals, he turned to his minions.
"The heroes have arrived, you may fight them anyway you please." Said Hexo.
The villains left as Hexo grinned evilly.
