After halloween things seemed to die down. Things got hotter politically as the congressional election became the primary focus for many. But there were no violent incidents, which ofcourse made the police happy. To some it was about freedom versus censorship, others about paganism versus christianity. Although in truth neither Patricia Turner nor her opponent sought to ban either religion. Obama, Romney, and Wilkins were all putting all resources into last minute campaigning. People couldn't turn on their televions without seeing a commercial for at least one candidate. Tensions often arose between supportes of presidential candidates this close to election day. There was definitely more tension in Sunnydale based on the congressional election. Kate Lockley once again had more cops out on election day, more at voting places, just to be safe. Kate cared less about the election and more about keeping the peace, making sure everyone got the chance to vote. That was what democracy meant to her. But much was at stake, namely who would lead the free world.
