Helloooo, my lovelies! I'm sorry I left you hanging for so long. This has been a rough, crazy semester! Finals start tomorrow, too, but I'll try to get back to writing. Thank you so much for sticking with me this long! I really love you all for even bothering to read this. I own nothing! So, so much love-Maya

The next morning, the Glee club was excused from their respective first and second classes. They were called to the auditorium instead, where they found Adam talking with Brad onstage. He turned to them with a bright smile. "Hey, guys."

"Good morning, Mr. Lambert," Rachel greeted for all of them, primly inclining her head.

Mr. Schue vaulted up onto the stage with his usual exuberance, a huge grin on his face as he clapped his hands and rubbed them together. "Alright, guys! Are we ready to practice?"

They had decided to open with Kurt and Adam's duet and follow with the ensemble performance, then Adam would do his speech and they would end with one of Adam's Top 40 songs. They rehearsed the second song, easily dragging Adam into their dance dynamic (Finn notwithstanding), and it went off without a hitch. Berry only threw, like, half a fit. They even got through the last song before the Diva Storm-Off. After that, while both Finn and Schue chased Rachel, Adam gave the girls (plus Kurt and minus Rachel) a workshop on eyeliner, which Puck and the other guys thought was hilarious until they got bored and wandered downstage to practice their choreography. Puck, quickly tiring of Mike showing them all up with a vengeance, glanced over his shoulder to see that the girls had all paired up to practice on each other; once again, Adam had Kurt all to himself. Puck clenched his jaw, but turned back to Mike, because otherwise that would be weird.

The stars in Kurt's eyes were reemerging with force, and that was understandable. After all, The Adam Lambert had declared his eyes "stunning" and insisted upon doing his eyeliner. As Adam led him off to one of the lit mirrors backstage by his wrist, Kurt twisted slightly to exchange a "ZOMGWTF" look with Mercedes and Tina.

Adam sat him down and examined the products available while Kurt all but bounced in his seat. "How about we go smoky?"

Kurt just grinned excitedly, crossing his legs and lacing his fingers over his top knee. "You're the expert."

Adam laughed and started making selections. "So. How're things?"

Kurt fought the urge to chew at his lip. Ever since he and Adam had exchanged numbers before God and the McKinley population, Puck looking on menacingly, Karofsky had kept his physical distance, but Kurt felt his eyes on him almost constantly. Sometimes, Kurt chanced a look over his shoulder, and there Karofsky would be, his jaw tight and his eyes more intense than ever. It made him shudder every time. Kurt hid his shiver now and answered, "Fine."

Adam chuckled a little, if sadly. "Honey, I just met you, and I know you're lying. Close your eyes."

Kurt obeyed and felt the pencil on his eyes seconds later. "Well, no one's shoving me or anything, so that's good."

Adam made a disapproving noise. "But it could be better." At Kurt's noncommittal shrug, Adam asked, "Does your bodyguard know?"

Kurt would have rolled his eyes, but they were still shut and being worked on. "It's no big deal."

"Would he agree?" Kurt heard the click of Adam setting something down, but didn't open his eyes.

"Probably not, but his approval isn't my problem."

Adam hummed his agreement, and Kurt felt him smudging delicately at his eyeliner. "Who's the one bothering you?"

"Same as usual," Kurt sighed.

"Closet Kid?"

"That's the one. Noah actually knows that this particular boy is the ringleader in my bullying, but I don't think he's figured out who exactly is doing it. He's not far-off though; he'll probably figure it out for himself just by being around me."

He could practically hear Adam's wry smile. "So he's pretty and smart. Open."

Kurt obeyed and met Adam's eyes. "He's also straight."

Adam just smiled at him. "You look awesome. And he's awfully possessive for someone as uninterested as you say. Close, so I can do the other one."

Kurt gave him a brief scowl before doing as he was told. "He's like that with everyone when he's being protective. He was like this when he got a girl pregnant last year."

"So he's treating you like his baby mama."

"Okay so, bad example." Adam finished up and pulled back, so Kurt opened his eyes to see the thoughtful expression on the man's face. "What?"

"Nothing." Adam smiled and brushed his ringed fingers through Kurt's hair, in the names of both styling and fondness. "This is going to be a great show."

Puck turned away from Kurt staring up at the (rich, successful, talented, stylish, hot) man who was petting him and talking to him in hushed tones. Seriously, what was the whole secrecy thing they had going on? It made Puck… uncomfortable. Whatever, he didn't like it.
