Chapter 147

Willow knew her mother didn't approve of certain things, particularly Tara being Willow's girlfriend. But her mother tried to murder an elected member of congress. Willow felt hurt, angry, and scared. Scared for herself and her mother. Sheila would almost certainly go to prison for this. Would Willow be put in a foster home until her 18th birthday, which was barely four months hence? And what about her grandfather? Willow tried to discuss the situation with the old man.

Willow: I'm only a few months away from my 18th birthday. I can take care of you right?

David: I'll be fine. You should go to college next year.

Willow: I don't understand how mom could do something like this.

David: I've seen fear make people do horrible things. But she is still your mother. We need to be there for her.

Willow: I do love mom. But what about Tara? Do I have to worry that mom will hurt her?

David: I don't know. We can try to help your mother to get the help she needs. Can you forgive her for this?

Willow: I supposse, eventually.
