I couldn't connect connect to the internet for a couple of weeks so I had to hold down on the update. But no worries… it's back and I finally bring you guys the update! :D Enjoy!

Chapter 11

This Feeling on me

Kenny noticed the crowd gathering around him, eager to wait for the next event. He briefly looked around, noticing several laughing faces and pointing fingers. There were countless flashes from cameras and cell phones. The crowd was roaring with laughter. As if Kenny wasn't embarrassed enough!

Dawn couldn't help but laugh, although she tried to hold it in, but a second thought compelled her not to. He had deserved this. After all, she wanted this to happen, after the way he had treated her. Ash walked up to her and smiled wildly, and so did she, giving a sign that their motive was complete. Zoey gave Dawn a big bear hug.

Kenny noticed Dawn and the others laughing, which filled his heart with anger and frustration.

"THAT'S IT! I'M OUT OF HERE! PHEH!" Kenny screamed as he violently kicked a stone near his foot and walked away from sight.

Dawn's face had light up noticing this. It was as if a burden was finally off her shoulders. She felt relieved to see this and she embraced the air around her, thinking it was too good to be true. But it was! Kenny was finally ridden of and she couldn't feel happier.

"Oh my gosh! C-Could it be true? Is Kenny finally out of my life? Is – Is this really happening? I can't believe it!" Dawn said to Zoey and Ash.

"Yes Dawn it's true! Kenny's finally out of your life! Are you happy?" Ash asked.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm very, very happy! Thank you so much Zoey and Ash!" She gave them a tight hug.

"What about you Zoey? How do you feel?" Ash asked.

"I feel amazing now that jerk's out of our lives! I'm finally free!" Zoey said.

"You said it sister!" Dawn agreed and winked to her.

"Well we should probably go back now." Ash suggested looking at the time. "It's getting late."

The two girls agreed and started to make their way back to the hotel. The night breeze was cold and the lights were as bright as ever. Dawn was happier than ever to be relieved of Kenny. All those precious moments which she thought she had with Kenny was only fake but thanks to Ash, she was fine. She looked at him as they walked. All what he did for her was unforgettable. How could Ash be this nice to her? Even after she was so inconsiderate? She considered herself to be lucky to have a friend like Ash.

Dawn kept thinking about him. In fact she was so lost in his thoughts that she wasn't aware of where she was going. Now all she could see was a giant flash coming her away and she was finally back to her senses. The light was getting bigger and so was her fear. She was too shocked to even move out of the way and she froze. The light was close to her now and she covered her face and closed her eyes in fear thinking she would get knocked. Instead all she felt was a hand grab her waist and a pull to someone's body. The person screamed her name and by the familiar voice she instantly knew who it was. Ash.

She paid no attention to his face. All she did was simply hug him. Their hug was blissful and they both savoured this moment. Nobody wanted to let go of each other as they were completely lost in each other. Ultimately, Ash let go and suddenly changed tones.

"Dawn! What were you thinking?! Are you crazy!? What if you had gotten hurt? Do you know what I would have done if I had lost you?" Ash panicked and asked her. Dawn looked in his eyes.

"Dawn answer me! Why did you do this? Why? Are you crazy?" Ash asked once again, looking in her eyes. It was like an ocean of blue. They kept staring at each other for a few minutes.

"Ash I- I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm really sorry." Dawn finally said reassuring him.

"Don't ever scare me like that again!" Ash said and pulled her into another deep hug. Dawn smiled once again.

"Guys, will you hurry up? It's getting really late and I'm really tired." Zoey moaned. The two broke up from their hug and continued to walk, hand in hand. Dawn blushed at this reaction.

Dawn felt secure around him. Why? The world was brighter around him. Why? Dawn didn't want to let go of his hand. Why? When he smiles at her, it was as if an award was given to her. Why? If he came close to her, she loved it the most. Why? If he was miles away from her, her hear would shatter. Why? Millions of questions came across her mind as they approached the hotel.

"Ahhh, what a night! So many things happened! But now I'm finally glad they're over!" Zoey sighed with relief. Dawn smiled at her. Ash was in the bathroom.

"Dawn!" Zoey called out. "What happened back there?" Zoey asked. Dawn raised her eyebrow in confusion.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I mean that hug! Wasn't it something, I don't know, extra special or something?" Zoey asked. Dawn blushed deeply hoping Zoey wouldn't notice.

"Oh, I dunno, I guess I was sorta lost or something." Dawn said, looking at her feet.

"Aha! You're blushing!" Zoey said. Dawn looked up. "You like Ash don't you?" Zoey asked. Dawn gasped.

"What? No no no no no no no no! Ash and I are just friends!" Dawn explained.

"Oh really? Would a friend be so considered to try break you up with Kenny?" Zoey asked.

"He was helping both of us out! He was cheating on us!" Dawn said.

"Would a friend be so worried if he had lost you?"

"I was about to be attacked by a car, Zoey!" Dawn said.

"You have all the answers, don't you Dawn?" Zoey asked. "Alright, well I'm going to my room and sleeping. Goodnight, Dawn." Zoey said as she went off.

Ash came out of the bathroom and ran up to Dawn saying, "Dawn, Dawn, guess what?"

"I duuno, what?" Dawn raised her shoulders.

"Misty's coming!" Ash said in excitement.

"Misty?" Dawn asked. "Who's Misty?"

"Oh she's a great friend of mine. You'll love her! I just got a call from her and she said that she's coming tomorrow! Oh, I can't wait! I haven't seen her in a long time!" Ash said with excitement.

"That's great Ash! I can't wait to meet her!" Dawn smiled.

"Oh that's not all! Brock's coming too!" Ash continued.

"Now who's Brock?" Dawn asked, placing her hands across her hips.

"Oh, sorry. I'm just so excited. Brock is my best buddy and the best cook in the world. We first met in Pewter City. He can be really serious when he's not around Nurse Joy or Officer Jenny flirting with them." Ash explained. Dawn laughed.

"Great! I can't wait to meet them!" Dawn said.

"Me neither! It's about time I had a taste of one of Brock's meals again! They were so yummy." Ash said, licking his lips, thinking of all the food tomorrow.

"Ash! Ash! Hey earth to Ash!" Dawn said, waving her hands to his face.

"Oh sorry Dawn. I was just thinking about all the amazing snacks!" Ash said.

"Forget about that for a moment. Look, Ash I've got something to tell you." Dawn said as Ash turned around to face her.

"What is it?" Ash asked.

"Thank you…for saving me. If it wasn't for you back there then I-" She was cut off by a finger on her lips. Dawn blushed a slight red. Ash realized what he was doing and let go.

"Don't say anything Dawn. I'm always here for you, Dawn. You know that. I won't let anything happen to you. You're my best friend." Ash said, smiling.

"Yeah." Dawn smiled. "You too."

"Well we should probably go to sleep now. We'll have to pick up Brock and Misty up in the morning at the harbour." Ash said.

"Ok. Good night, Ash!" Dawn smiled.

"Goodnight, Dawn." Ash replied.

Oh and sorry for making it so short. I really couldn't think of anything else. Don't know when I'll update again, but trust me the next update is gonna be longer and I'll update sooner.
