Daniel: Yes. Your mother came to me, begging me to protect you. That was as much love as she was capable of. I feared she would come back one day. So yes, I killed her. Had your biological father been there I would've killed him too.
Steven: Where is my father?
Daniel: I don't know.
Steven: I heard my mother is alive, just weakened.
Daniel: Who told you this?
Steven: Someone I trust, more than I trust you right now.
Daniel: Steven, I have made mistakes. But please understand that I did it because I love you.
Steven: My name is Conner. That's what my mother called me before you killed her. That is what you should call me from now on.
