Chapter 160
Angel could tell from the look on Buffy's face, she knew he was a vampire. Buffy didn't understand, she remembered Angel having a reflection. Could he have been turned recently? It made sense that the bad guys would turn him, given how he seemed to know things that helped the good guys. But then why had Angel helped Buffy tonight?
Buffy: Why did you help me?
Angel: To stop the Master. I don't want the world to end anymore than you do.
Buffy: So it's less about saving innocents, more about saving your own skin.
Angel: It's complicated.
Buffy: You helped us tonight. And whether you wanted to or not you saved innocent people. But I could become a slayer, either way we're suppossed to be enemies. Go. Go now. This way we're even. But if I see you again, I'll have to kill you.
Angel: Fair enough. Take care Buffy.
