Hello! So I'm updating He's the One for the last time. Yes, it is here-the last chapter. (Forgot to mention it in the last chapter, sorry! D:)

Before I start, I'd just like to take a few minutes and thank everyone who read, reviewed, followed and favourited my story-It really means a lot and I appreciate it.

Chapter 19

A Happy Ending

All proceeded to the airport with Dawn's belongings. She quickly brushed her hair in the bathroom and sighed, thinking about Ash. Her heart was melting inside, but she had no other option. She wished that somehow, that there was a way Ash could come along with her. It was ironic that she met Ash here at the very start and they were parting ways right here. It was right here that Ash made a special place in her heart.

She came out of the bathroom and saw Misty, Zoey, and Brock.

"Hey. All ready?" Zoey asked.

"Yeah." Dawn sighed.

"We're gonna miss you, Dawn." Misty said.

"Yeah, we all are." Brock added.

"I'm gonna miss you guys too. I can't thank you guys enough for what you did for me." Dawn said as they all embraced each other in a deep group hug.

"Hey, where's Ash?" Dawn asked. They let go.

"He's checking in for his flight." Brock answered. He noticed Dawn's mood. "You're gonna miss him the most, aren't you?"

"Of course! He…is the most amazing person. I don't know what I'll do without him." She said.

"I get it. Ash is the kinda guy that'll always be there for you." Brock said.

"Agreed." Misty added.

Ash finally approached the group and greeted them, along with Dawn. He approached her, looking in her eyes, saying nothing. It was as if they didn't need words to speak and their eyes were speaking for them. They silently met forehead to forehead and Ash wiped her tear that was falling on her cheek. He took her hand in his and held it on his heart, which indicated that she would always be in his heart.

"You know, they make a cute couple." Zoey said.

"Yup, couldn't agree more." Misty added.

"It's soo beautiful!" Brock cried.

Ash then went away walking, making Dawn curious. She cocked an eyebrow as he came back with a white cup in his hand. He then drenched himself in water, making Dawn laugh and remembering that memory they held. Ash chuckled seeing Dawn laugh, while Zoey, Misty and Brock were just blank and confused. They stared at him in shock.

"Ok, either I'm crazy, or Ash just poured water on himself." Misty said. Dawn giggled.

"It was the way we met the first time. I accidentally spilled hot coffee all over him." She explained.

"Oh. Well, that's not weird at all." Zoey said sarcastically.

"Zoey, if Dawn hadn't done that to me, I probably wouldn't have met Dawn at all…or have my chest burnt." Ash said, making them giggle and laugh.

"But…that's not all. Here, Dawn. This is for you. It's a little something to remember me by." Ash said, handing her the cup. Dawn's eyes widened.

"You're giving me a cup?" Dawn asked.

"Smooth, Ash." Brock added.

"Just read what's on it." Ash told her, ignoring Brock. It read 'To Dawn, my cute little coffee-spiller. Love you always.'

Dawn immediately cooed and hugged Ash, embracing him, for what felt like eternity. "Thanks, Ash. I love it."

"Wow, it was smoother than I thought. I have got a lot to learn!" Brock said.

"Shut up Brock! Can't you see they're having a moment? And it could be their last…" Misty yelled before punching Brock lightly on the arm.

"I guess some things never change." Zoey sweat dropped.

Their eyes diverted to the television, which was broadcasting interesting news. They all became shocked and amazed as they read the headlines. "Assaulter finally placed in jail." The news reported spoke of the times when Kenny assaulted girls and did unimaginable things with them. It shocked Dawn to know that he was more than she thought of. She quickly stood up and stared at the screen, shaking.

"I can't believe this." Dawn spoke.

"Who would've thought?" Ash continued.

"Well, this was unexpected." Zoey said, shocked as well. He was her boyfriend too and she couldn't believe her eyes.

"Kenny…wow. This was just so low, even for him." Misty said in disgust.

"Oh, I could expect this." Brock said, which appalled everyone.

"Huh?" Dawn asked.

"Don't you guys remember the beautiful Officer Jenny as she came out on her motorbike, looking gorgeous, stunning…and that hair.."

"Get to the point!" Misty snapped.

"Oh, right. Well, she told us that there was a criminal on the loose, and it was Kenny." Brock said.

"How did you know it was Kenny? It didn't look like him." Dawn said.

"I recognize a good disguise." Brock said.

"Wow! I can't believe we didn't recognize him, Dawn! And worst of all, he was a criminal?!" Zoey yelled.

"I know right? I'm so glad that he's finally gone. And he definitely deserves to be in jail after what he did to us." Dawn said.

"You said it, sister!" Zoey said, snapping her fingers.

"The 7011 flight has arrived to Sinnoh. Calling all passengers to the 7011 flight to Sinnoh." The announcer announced. They turned their attention to Dawn. Ash walked up to her.

"Well, this is it." He spoke. Dawn sighed. "Yeah. We've had some pretty good times." Dawn said, forcing a smile, but inside, she was on the verge of crying her eyes out.

"The Best times, Dawn. I've had the best times with you. Promise to video chat?" Ash asked.

"I promise. We'll talk every day." Dawn winked. Ash then pulled her into a deep, mesmerizing kiss to which Dawn deepened by putting her arms around his neck. They let go eventually and Dawn broke the spell.

"We can't do that on video chat." Dawn stated.

"Well, we could, but that would be creepy." Ash said, making Dawn laugh. She then gave him one more last hug to him and then to Brock, Zoey, and Misty. She took her belongings and headed to her flight. She took one last turn before taking her final step outside. All waved happily except for Ash, who was blowing a kiss to her, to which she caught and placed it in her pocket. Finally, she was out.

Their waving subsided and then Ash sighed sadly as he sat down. He checked his watch, while shaking his leg. "It's been at least 30 seconds that Dawn left and I already miss her."

"Wow…that's true love." Zoey said. "Dawn's really lucky to have you." He smiled.

Just then a familiar woman approached the group. She was wearing a white-long sleeved blouse with blue pants and kept her brown, luscious hair in a ponytail. "Mom!?" Ash's eyes widened.

"Hi, Ash, my little prince." She immediately hugged him and pinched his cheek, making Brock and the others giggle.

"Mom, you're embarrassing me.." Ash said, his cheeks turning red a little.

"Sorry. I can't help myself." Delia said.

"Nice to see you again, Mrs. Ketchum." Misty greeted.

"Hi, Misty. Yes, it has been a while, and hi to Brock too!" Delia greeted them happily.

"So what brings you here, Mrs. Ketchum?" Brock asked.

"Well…I have some good news and bad news for Ash." Delia said, turning to Ash.

"What's the news, mom? I'd like to hear the good news first." Ash said.

"Ok, brace yourself. Your mother got a job!" Delia said. Ash lit up like a candle.

"Really? That's amazing, mom!" Ash said.

"That's really great!" Brock added.

"So what's the bad news?" Zoey asked.

"The bad news is that the job is in Sinnoh…which means we'll be moving there." Delia said. "I know this is hard for you and you'll have to adjust a new life there..but you're going to love it there."

"Yeah, I guess you're right, mom. I'm really happy for you." Ash said before realizing something. "Wait, mom, did you say we have to move to Sinnoh?" He asked.

"Yup, that's exactly right." Delia said, causing Ash to jump around. They all sweat-dropped.

"Well, he took this better than I thought!" Delia chuckled to see his son rather so happy.

"And I'll tell you why. C'mon!" Ash said as they rushed to book another flight.

"Ash must be so happy right now! He's going to stay with Dawn!" Misty said.

"Yeah, I'm really happy for Dawn. She's gonna be so surprised!" Zoey added.

"They're such a lovely couple.." Brock said, tearing up.

"And that's why I had the most amazing vacation ever." Dawn said, speaking to her mother. She had just told the entire story of meeting Ash, of Kenny's true colours, and how she realized that Ash was the one for her.

"Wow…you went all the way to see Kenny..who turned out to be a criminal, and then met Ash. I never thought Kenny was like this." Johanna said.

"Yeah. But I'm glad he's out of my life. Now, it's all about Ash." Dawn said, sighing.

"But…is it the same? What if he does the same like what Kenny did to you?" Johanna asked.

"I doubt that he would ever do that to me, mom. He's the one for me, I know it. And he's completely trustworthy and I love him so much." Dawn said.

"Well, I'm glad you finally found someone who makes you so happy. Are you ok without him?" Johanna asked, putting her hand on her shoulder.

"Not really." She sighed. "I miss him, but I have you around. And we'll video chat every day." Dawn said. Johanna smiled.

"You are truly a brave girl. Ash is lucky to have you." Johanna said.

"No, mom. I'm lucky to have Ash." Dawn said. Johanna chuckled.

"Alright, sweetie, you must be tired after your flight. Why don't I fix you up a little snack?" Johanna asked out of concern.

"Yes, please. I'm starving!" Dawn immediately responded.

"Ok, dear. Be right back." Johanna said, before leaving the room.

Dawn dumped herself on the bed, lying down, and almost immediately started thinking about Ash. She held the cup in her hand that brought back her memories countlessly. She closed her eyes, to imagine herself and Ash together. She could still hear his sweet, charming voice, as she smiled. "Dawn! Dawn!" The voice seemed so realistic and was growing louder every minute. Was her mid playing tricks on her?

"Dawn! DAWN!" The voice said again, making Dawn get up. She listened for the voice again.

"DAWN!" She certainly couldn't be crazy enough to be hearing voices and that voice was not her mother's. Could it be? But how?

She then quickly opened the window and smiled as she saw him, waving at her. She couldn't believe it and rushed outside, hugging Ash tightly.

"I knew you'd come." Ash whispered.

"What are you doing here? I-I'm so shocked!" Dawn asked, still hugging him.

"I'm moving here." Ash said, letting go of her and cupping her face. "We're gonna be together, Dawn. Are you happy?" He asked.

"Happy? I'm way more than happy! I-I'm stoked!" She said, smiling.

"Yeah. My mom got a new job here and we transferred here." Ash told her.

"Your mother is very smart at travelling." Dawn said, making Ash chuckle.

10 years later…

Adam stared at their parent's photos and then looked at his parents. "Mommy, is it true that you spilled coffee on Daddy?" He asked.

"Hey, little one, how did you know?" Dawn asked.

Adam then looked on the cup on the shelf to his left, where the words were engraved and then looked at his mother again. He got up and hugged his mother.

"Just a guess." He said. Dawn chuckled.

"Well, your father is an amazing guy. If that didn't happen, you wouldn't have been born, now would you?" Dawn said before realizing Ash was in the room.

"Talking about me again?" He smiled.

"Daddy! You're back from work? So early?" His son asked.

"Yes, of course, I can't resist staying away from my two precious people on the world." He said, before kissing them both on the cheek. Even at this time, Ash's kissed caused her to blush.

"Let's take a photo together! To put in the album. Pleaaase?" Adam begged them both.

"Sure. Why not? We are family." Dawn said.

They took a picture that stayed in their hearts. Ash had placed his arm around Dawn's waist while Adam was held in Dawn's hands. They all smiled after the picture was taken.

"You know…you still give me the chills every time you touch me." Dawn said.

"Well, I am 'the one', aren't I?" He asked.

"Yes, yes you are." Dawn said, both of the chuckling in delight.
