I only have two periods today, and they're both with Marshall. Great, just great. I sighed as my alarm went off in the morning, people who make alarm clocks need to make less annoying sound for their crappy clocks. I slammed down the off button and got up, surprisingly on time for once in my life time. I pulled on my dark blue skinnies, light blue tee shirt, and laced up my black converse before doing my usual makeup routine. I'm still so tired, what's the point of sleep if I can't wake up perfectly like they do in the movies? How do they do that? I pulled my long hair in to a pony tail again, it was getting too long to wear down with out it getting in the way. I need a hair cut because I swear I'm like Repunzel over here with my blond hair and crap. I got out my schedule and checked which periods they were. Of course, first and second. I groaned and fell backwards on to my soft warm bed. I don't wanna go to school, it's so boring.
"Fionna? You up?" Cake knocked on my door before opening it to see me dressed on my bed. She popped out the hip in her perfect hourglass figure and put her hand on it.
"C'mon girl, its time to get up. You're already half way there, you can do it" she said.
"Ugh!" I groaned attempting to get up. It's like the bed is calling me, telling me to stay and sleep.
"C'mon, I got your favorite cereal the other day" she coaxed.
"Fine" I mumbled getting up. As much as I love sleep, food always comes first. I looked in the mirror and frowned at my reflection, seriously why are all these boys flirting with me? I walked out of my room and in to the kitchen to fetch myself a bowl and milk. I know it's weird, but I pour my milk first, I dunno why I just do. I watched as the rainbow colored puffs plopped on top of the milk, making a little mountain before I sank them with my silver colored spoon. The fruity deliciousness exploded in my mouth with each crunch, satisfying my need for cereal.
"Having fun?" Cake asked walking in on my Zen time. I nodded and continued eating the sugary mass.
"You wanna ride today?" She asked. I nodded again, duh of course I wanna ride! What is she thinking?
"Hurry up then, I'm leave for work soon and I don't mind dropping you off" she said.
"Okay" I said. I finished up my cereal and put the bowl in the sink before grabbing my bag and rushing after Cake who was already half way across the parking lot. We got in to the car and she dropped me off at the drop off area.
"Thanks, Cake" I said.
"No problem, see you after school" she said.
"Kay!" I shouted as she drove away. I walked in to the school dreading the day a head of me. Most of the tables were full or almost full which made me cringe at human interaction. Luckily I found and empty table in the corner and whipped out my iPod and sketch book. I saved up for months to get this thing, it was so much better than my old radio. I got all my music from a website for free, I know it's probably illegal but I honestly don't care. I turned on some "La Roux" and started going at the paper drawing whatever. After about ten minutes someone pulled out one of my earbuds. I looked up to see Marshall smirking down at me.
"What, are you stalking me now?" I asked. He laughed.
"It's not that hard to find you, just look for the girl who's all alone for some reason" he said taking a seat next to me. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever" I said.
"Hey, you gotta phone?" He asked.
"A really crappy one" I said.
"Lemme see" he said.
"I'm not giving you my phone" I raised my eyebrow at his demand.
"I see, you've got dirty stuff on it" he poked.
"I do not!" I insisted.
"Then let me see it" he said. I shook my head and pulled out my cheap flip phone. It had a dorky Star Wars case, something I was really in to in my tween years. Glob I was such a dork.
"Nice case" he said.
"Shut up, you're lucky I'm letting you see it" I snapped. I handed him the phone so he could look at it. He took off his sunglasses and examined the phone with his beautiful green eyes. He flipped it open and started snooping around and pressing buttons.
"This is a really crappy phone" he said.
"No duh" I snatched the sorry excuse for a phone from his fingers, accidentally brushing his warm skin.
"Does it even work?" He asked.
"Yes" I said.
"Does it even have a number?" He joked.
"Of course it does" I replied
"Then what is it?" He asked.
"Did you do all of that to get my number?" I called him out.
"Maybe" he smiled. I rolled my eyes at him and tore off a clean piece of my sketch paper and wrote down my number before giving it to him.
"Thanks" he said pulling out his fancy shmancy iPhone and entering the number in to it.
"Of course you have the best phone in the world" I scoffed. He chuckled and put his phone back in to his pocket.
"Turn your phone on silent" he said.
"Don't tell me what to do" I snarked.
"Unless you wanna get in trouble, I'd turn the sound off" he warned. The bell rung and I got up.
"Time to spend the day with an asshole" I muttered.
"C'mon, you know you secretly like it" he provoked.
"Yeah, right" I scoffed. The day went by pretty fast, I could get used to two periods on day 2's. It was pretty much the same as yesterday, teachers giving me a bunch of papers Cake needs to sign. I stuffed the papers in to my locker and exited my world studies class.
"See ya later" Marshall said going the opposite direction.
"I hope not" I teased. He might be an asshole, but I was kinda warming up to him. He was still annoying but I didn't see how the hell I was going to get rid of him. I twisted my combination in to my lock and swung open the small door to gather my stuff.
"How's it going, doll?" Said a familiar voice. I looked over to the hot head from the other day.
"Oh, it's you" I said.
"I still didn't get your name" he said.
"And you never will" I retorted.
"C'mon, it's not that hard"
"Maybe it is" I challenged furiously pulling out my back pack.
"Why won't you tell me your name?" He asked.
"Cuz I don't have time for hot heads like you" I snapped. Just then I felt a hand around my waist as Mohawk guy looked over to someone behind me.
"There you are babe, I've been looking all over for you" Marshall greeted me with a quick(ish) kiss on the lips. What the stuff? He winked at me signaling that he's got this.
"Who's this?" Hot head demanded. Marshall chuckled.
"I'm her boyfriend" he replied, a deathly look in his eye as he smirked. I didn't know where this was going, but all I knew is I wanted this guy off my back so I played along.
"You ready to go, sweetheart?" He asked pulling me closer to him.
"Um, yeah. Just let me close this" I said. I turned to my locker to close it up.
"Why didn't you say you had a boyfriend?" Mohawk asked me.
"Because you didn't ask" I said coldly shutting my locker. I turned to Marshall, throwing my bag over my shoulder.
"Let's go" I smiled taking his hand. He grinned and lead me away from the pissed looking Mohawk guy. As soon as we were out of sight I let go of his hand.
"You didn't need to kiss me" I said a little annoyed by his actions. He laughed.
"You didn't need to talk to him, and if it wasn't for me you'd still be trying to get rid of that ass hat" he said. I rolled my eyes at him and continued walking until we exited the school. I was about to storm off in to the opposite direction when he tugged me towards his car.
"Oh no you don't, I'm giving you a ride" he said.
"Ugh! I don't need one" I insisted struggling in his strong grip.
"Yes you do, you live a ways away" he argued. I sighed.
"Fine" I surrendered. He smiled and opened the car door for me.
"I can open a door on my own" I grumbled getting in. He rolled his eyes and walked over to the drivers seat.
"You're stubborn" he pointed out.
"Yup" I said crossing my arms.
"You still haven't said 'thank you'" he said.
"And you still haven't started the car" I replied. He shook his head and turned the key, pulling out of the drive way. He drove for a while, remembering where to turn and where to go. I tried my best to not look at him, but I caved and glanced over to him. His green eyes hidden behind his shaded glasses glued on to the rode. One hand was on top of the wheel while the other was relaxed and farther down. He was wearing his expensive looking leather jacket again with a maroon tee shirt and black pants. The front of his jacket was open, exposing the tight tee shirt that covered his chest. I'll admit he was a handsome guy, but his attitude drove me crazy. My "quick glance" turned in to staring as my eyes lingered on his perfect body, I snapped out of it and looked at the time. It was only 11:53, and I was already out if school. I could get used to this. I sighed.
"Thanks...for what you did..." I broke the silence. He looked over to me and smiled before returning his gaze at the rode.
"No problem, it was a good excuse to kiss you" he said. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever" I said.
"Have you ever been kissed before? You looked surprise" he said.
"I've been kissed before!" I snapped.
"Who?" He asked.
"Does it matter?" I retorted.
"No, I'm just curious" he smirked.
"It was a spin the bottle game in the seventh grade" I confessed. He laughed.
"That doesn't count" he said.
"Yes it does!" I insisted throwing my hands down on the seat.
"No, it doesn't" he argued. I crossed my arms again.
"Then that one didn't count either" I claimed.
"Fine, if you insist" he said.
"I do" I said. He pulled in to the parking lot of my apartment, unlocking the door for me to exit.
"Thanks" I murmured opening the door.
"No problem" he said. I shut the door and entered my apartment. Cake was on her computer designing something for a company, she's been working on it for a couple of days.
"I'm home!" I shouted so she could hear me through her head phones. She pulled out the ear buds and looked over at me.
"Did you get a ride again?" She asked.
"Yeah" I said walking in to the kitchen.
"Who is this friend of yours?" She asked.
"Uh, he's new" I opened the fridge and pulled out an ice cold coke.
"He? Is this a love interest?" She asked. This is exactly why I didn't want to tell her about this guy.
"No, he's really annoying"
"Uh-huh" she said not truly convinced.
"He's a real asshole" I continued.
"I bet" she sassed.
"And he's a snobby rich kid" I urged.
"Followin' daddy all the way to the bank" she said in an "amen" tone.
"What?" I asked.
"Probably has nothing better to do than spend daddy's bills" she continued.
"I dunno about that-"
"Probably thinks he's all that an a bag of chips" she said.
"Yeah, but-"
"And is totally in to you" she finished.
"Hold on there, he is not in to me" I said. She laughed.
"You're funny, Fi" she said.
"It's the truth, he wouldn't be interested in me"
"Why not?" She asked.
"Because I'm...me"
"There's nothing wrong with you" she sighed. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, he wouldn't go for my type"
"What would he go for?" She asked.
"The easy type?" I guessed. She laughed again.
"Fionna, I get a laugh outta you" she said.
"Whatever, I'm heading to my room" I said.
"Okay, lunch is gonna be ready in an hour" she told me.
"Okay" I said as I closed the door. I fell down on my soft bed and rested for a little, exhausted from what happened earlier. I took a deep breath when my pocket buzzed. I took out my phone to see a message from the name "asshole", he must've entered his number when he took my phone. I flipped open the phone and read the message.
Asshole: You left your bag.
Me: oops can you bring it tomorrow?
Asshole: Sure, but it'll cost you.
Me: name your price
Asshole: I get to give you a ride home everyday.
Me: fine whatever
He didn't respond after that, of course. I'm so happy it's Friday tomorrow.
