Chapter 42 – Is This Real?

London was burning.

The once magnificent city was engulfed in fire. There was a stench of death floating in the air and panic was the only emotion alive amongst the survivors. The government was annihilated in spite of the protection provided by the order of the Phoenix. The world was in chaos and the global economy was suddenly in tatters. Voldemort had shut the city from outside contact and any attempt by muggles to enter the city was met with destructive curses. There were more than a dozen squads of deatheaters roaming the city and their job was the raze everything to the ground and that includes the lives of anyone not on their side.

The destruction of the city was not undertaken by the wizards alone. The goblin's had joined forces with Voldemort and for those creatures that were so skilled at building tunnels deep under the ground, destroying large structures was almost too easy. Thousands of them scoured the city salvaging all the gold they could find and how much they did find! Gold from banks, gold from the once magnificent residence of the queen, gold from the rubble that was London, it was unimaginable. Voldemort promised them land and gold and he expected the goblins to give him forty percent of what they found and access to all the vaults of Gringotts.

It was a deal the goblin's accepted gleefully and the cherry on top for them was that Voldemort allowed them to do their own research on wands enabling them to finally having some sort of access to wandlore. The great city was now open to all kinds of magical creatures and they had the freedom to do whatever they wished and live where ever they wanted. For them Voldemort was like a gift from Merlin himself and they would fight to the death for him.

Hogwarts

The body of a dragon lay just outside the gates of Hogwarts. Crushing the powerful wards of Hogwarts resulting in it getting burnt to crisp within seconds and thanks to that the headmaster's office was now occupied by the greatest dark lord in the history of the magical world, Lord Voldemort.

"How goes the redecorations Lucius?"

"Wonderfully my lord, the muggles are being hunted down by the second and so far we haven't seen any of the order putting up some kind of resistance."

"Any sight of this so called silver eyed demon?" asked Voldemort, a frown creasing his forehead. They had heard of the accounts of the survivor of their first squad and just after he managed to stutter out what had happened he had left for the afterlife. It hadn't been a pleasant job for those who had to clear up the mess made by those who had splinched themselves so terribly.

"No my lord," replied Lucius uncomfortably. "But I am sure it was one of the order. It most probably could have been Moody under a glamour charm. As far as we know he is the only one in that group who would not hesitate to kill."

"Do you believe him capable of slaughtering a hundred of my mine alone Lucius?" asked the dark lord raising his eyebrows.

"The rest of them must have been hidden," said the blonde man lamely.

"Be as it may, I want this person captured and I want him captured alive," he said dangerously. "How go the preparations of the 'Arcem Tenebris'," he asked.

"The land has been cleared and the goblins are going to start once their greed has been sated. Yaxley and Rudolphus are overseeing the progress."

"Hmmm... good."

"If I may, what is going to become of the school my lord?"

"It shall continue to function as a school my friend," replied Voldemort with a smirk. "Only this time it won't be limited to the so called ministry guidelines. Real magic shall be taught to those who are capable of wielding a wand."

"Muggleborns included?"

Voldemort sighed at Lucius's narrow mindedness. "After our purge there won't be any more muggles so I think the term muggleborn shall soon become obsolete," he said dragging out the words as if talking to a child.

Lucius didn't get the insult and grinned. "I can't wait for the order to try something or even the muggles! Once they see the depths of our preparations, watching their hopes escape them would be wonderful!"

"Calm yourself before you wet the floor Lucius," said Voldemort chuckling. "But you are correct. Go now, you have your new assignment and I don't think it will be that difficult now."

Lucius stood up and bowed. "I shall soon bring joyous news my lord," and then he left.

Voldemort failed to notice Phineas Black slip out of his portrait as soon as Lucius left the office. Lord Voldemort may occupy the seat of the headmaster but the true headmaster was still Albus Dumbledore and as long as Voldemort operated from the headmaster's office, the order had an extremely valuable spy in place.

A Bunker deep under the ground

"General, I want to know what that thing is and I want to know who is responsible now! We are on the brink of a world war and with no one claiming responsibility over this catastrophe god only knows how long it will take for someone to make the first move!"

"Mr. President, we are doing our best but no matter how you look at it, that thing on the screens is a god damn Dragon!"

President Hodge took a deep breath to try and bring down his rising blood pressure. "People are losing their minds Smith. Riots are breaking out and half the news channels around the world are convinced we should be striking the middle east with all our might!"

"I believe I can help you answer some of the questions you have President Hodge, General Smith."

Albus Dumbledore suddenly found himself facing at least a dozen 357 calibre pistols and a number of sub machine guns in a split second.

"Who are you and how did you get in here!" barked General Smith.

Dumbledore smiled serenely. "What you see on your screens is indeed a dragon and I must say it is simply incredible that you can take pictures from outer space!"

"Who are you old man?" growled President Hodge. "And what do you know about what happened in London."

"First of all you may address me as Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry," he said. Although, soon to be ex-headmaster," he added sadly.

Everybody stared at him dumbfounded.

"Did you say magic?"

"London was attacked and destroyed by the dark lord Voldemort and I suggest you lower your weapons and listen to me if you wish to prevent the destruction of the world."

Grimmauld Place Number 12

"What do you mean we're relocating?" Hermione asked Sirius.

"What I mean is it won't be long before Voldemort finds this place and crushes us to pieces so we are relocating! Now go and pack your things and make sure your friends pack up too."

"But Sirius, the house in under the fidelius charm! No matter what Voldemort does, he cannot find us!"

"He most certainly cannot find this place, but with the number of clues to our location lying around, he just has to point his wand in a direction he feels is right and start blasting out curses. And with the amount of resources he has at his disposal it will be easy for him to crush us. Now GO!"

"So we're running away?"

Sirius narrowed his eyes. "I will not ask again Hermione. These are the headmaster's orders. If you want to argue some more, you can argue with Molly. She'll be most happy to entertain your queries," he said and left. He had more important things to do, like finding Harry and making sure he stayed put!

He met Mundungus on his way to Harry's room. "No point lookin' in there Sirius," said Mundungus. "The kid left the house again."

"Again!" cried Sirius.

"It's a bit difficult to keep an eye on a kid who could crush you with his little finger you know," he grumbled.

"Does he know where our new headquarters are?"

"Dumbledore gave him a portkey," he said. "And even after that him askin me to keep an eye out for him makes no sense at all!"

"What about the rest of the kids?"

"The fire girl is all packed and so is her dad. The other kids are almost done too."

"Okay good. When they're done take them to the new place and stay there," said Sirius.

"Roger that," replied Dung and strolled away, probably looking a place he could smoke without being caught by Molly.

Sirius hurried down to the basement. The order's meeting place had a good stock of fire whiskey and he was sure they were going to need a good supply of that once they left this place for good. On the way he ran into Arthur who was sweating quite a bit.

"What happened to you?"

"Fiendfire heading our way! Some trigger happy death eater let it loose and now it's out of control!" he said trying his hardest not to panic. "We have to leave now!"

"Get any one left in the house out now! I'll get Tonks!"

"What about Harry?" asked Arthur.

Sirius eyes clouded with worry. "I'll find him and come," he said and hurried off to the kitchen where Tonks was packing up their food reserves.

"Tonks leave the rest and get out now!" he yelled bursting into the kitchen.

Tonks froze.

"Are you eating chocolates?" asked Sirius incredulously.

"I finished packing and I was hungry!" she defended.

"Whatever," growled Sirius. "Take the food and leave now. Fiendfire is heading our way."

"What!"

"Go now Tonks," he shouted and then ran out towards the entrance. "Where are you Harry?" was the only thought on his mind as he yanked the front door open and stepped out.

It was a horrific sight that met his eye. His skin felt like it would melt any second and there was an enormous column of black flames which seemed to take the form of number of lunging serpents consuming everything in its path. "Harry!" he screamed, he knew it was of no use. He had to go before the fire consumed him too.

He looked around one last time in the hopes of catching a glimpse of his godson but to no avail. Closing his eyes and praying for Harry's safety his hands closed around the portkey in his pocket and he whispered, "Live on," and then he felt a sharp tug below his navel as the portkey activated.

A few minutes later the roaring black flames crashed into the wards of Grimmauld place number 12 and destroyed them in seconds before consuming the entire neighbourhood and moving on.

Outskirts of London

Harry walked over the bodies of the fallen goblins, deatheaters and muggles with Alastor Moody right beside him.

"I'm surprised at your capacity to kill so easily," growled the auror.

"Let's just say I was prepared for this moment," replied Harry.

"And that power," continued Moody. "It's unlike anything I've ever seen before! With you in our ranks I don't think anyone except Voldemort himself can stop you."

"Thanks," said Harry with a small smile. "Where did you see those muggles again?"

Moody jerked his head towards a small building that hadn't been destroyed yet.

"Hard to believe that the goblins joined forces with Voldemort," said Harry.

"It's not hard at all," scoffed Moody. "For those nasty little creatures the lesser humans on the planet the happier they are."

"Now don't make any sudden moment," said Moody as they reached the entrance of the building. "If the muggles in here are armed they won't hesitate to defend themselves. Let me do all the talking and keep your wand hidden."

They walked inside looking around carefully for signs of moment.

"Basement?" whispered Harry.

Moody nodded and they headed for the stairway.

"Freeze," rasped out a harsh male voice from behind them.

The pair slowly turned around and found two young men holding shotguns aimed at their heads.

"We don't mean you any harm sonny," said Moody calmly. "We're here to help you."

"Don't listen to him Tom," said the other man. "You saw what they did to those creatures!"

"And I'm sure you also noticed those creatures killing people and us stopping them."

The two looked unsure of themselves. It wasn't hard to notice the look of terror and fear ripe in their eyes.

"Just put down the weapons," said Moody. "All we want to do is take you and any survivors to a safe place."

"Why should we trust you! We saw your weird powers! For all we know you're one of them and this is just a ruse to lower our guard!"

"We're not armed," said Moody. "I'm an old man and with me is just a fourteen year old kid. Do you really think this is a plot? Listen to me Tom, its Tom right? You have to trust me if you want to get out of this hell hole before the real enemy finds you!"

"I think we should listen to him Tom," said the other man, lowering his shotgun.

"Don't drop your guard Frank! Do you remember how those creatures ate..." his voice faltered as memories of the horrific events that had occurred in the past few days rushed back to him. "How they ate Lisa and Anna! For all we know this is just their disguise!"

There was a blast outside that shook the building.

"Tom, there are more of those creatures outside!" yelled Frank in panic. "I think we should listen to these people!"

Moody didn't say anything.

"Tom!"

There were few tense seconds as Tom struggled to come to a decision.

"Alright... alright!" he said finally and lowered his shotgun.

"Good," said Moody with a smile. He had applied some glamour's to his face so as to not freak out the muggles. "Now, how many of you are there here?"

"About fifty," said Frank.

"Bring them all down; we're going to leave now." Frank nodded and quickly ran up yelling for everyone to come down.

"And how are we going to leave?" asked Tom.

"I'm going to hold back that horde of goblins while you talk to the muggles," said Harry speaking up for the first time.

"Hold them back?" muttered Tom.

"Oh my mistake," said Harry grinning, "I mean slaughter them."

Tom looked horrified at that and Moody just sighed.

Harry stepped out of the building with his eyes glowing silver. He raised his arms to the sky and then water burst out of his hands. Just as water began to fall back to the ground, drops of water became drops of ice and suddenly the goblins found holes being punched into their bodies.

They looked ahead and saw a young boy who looked like he was about fifteen or sixteen with glowing silver eyes staring down at them with a smile on his face.

"It's the silver eyed demon!" shouted the goblin in the lead. "Take him down!"

The goblins then pointed their long fingers at Harry and in unison shouted a curse in Gobbledygook. Harry swiftly conjured a blue shield that shattered under the force of their spell and he was forced to take cover. He rolled over and hide behind a wrecked car and then without wasting any time he quickly sent a wave of water towards them with the power of a giant behind it. The goblins were swept away.

"Harry we're ready!" shouted Moody from inside.

"Damn," muttered Harry, letting go of his element as his eyes slowly lost that silver ring which surrounded his pupil. He went back inside and saw a number of women, men and kids his age or more holding onto a long rope. All of them had dirty clothes on and a look of utter hopelessness in their eyes.

"Grab onto the end," barked Moody.

Harry nodded and took hold of the end of the rope. He looked beside him and saw a girl of about fifteen looking at him. He smiled at her and she quickly looked away in fright. All of them had seen what he had done to those goblins.

"Live on," murmured Moody and they were whisked away from London.

Beauxbatons, France

Two wizards and around fifty muggles landed hard on the ground. Only one stayed on his feet.

"Are you all alright?" asked Moody.

"Yeah right," groaned Harry pushing himself to his feet. "That had to be the worst mode of transport I've ever been on."

"It was an international portkey," said Moody grinning. "What did you expect?"

Harry just frowned and looked around and his eyebrows rose high at the sight in front of him. He could see tents everywhere! There had to more than hundreds of them and there were so many people around too! A little further away was a huge mansion which looked like one of those expensive boarding schools you saw in the movies.

"Where are we?"

"Beauxbatons," replied Moody.

"France!" gasped Harry.

"Yes we're in France. Now go inside and find your friends while I deal with the muggles. I'm sure Sirius is waiting to lay into you for disappearing on him again."

Harry nodded and hurried towards the school. On his way he saw so many people all just sitting outside their tents quietly doing nothing. It was a very depressing sight but he couldn't exactly blame them for that.

When he reached the school he saw Lillian and Hermione sitting outside talking.

"Harry!" said Lillian when she spotted him. "Where the hell have you been!"

"Oh hi," said Harry. "I was with Moody looking for survivors back home."

"Did you find any?" asked Hermione. They had been made aware of Harry and Lillian's powers and since then Hermione had made it a point to talk to Harry civilly.

"About fifty," he said. "They were almost attacked by goblins. Do you know where Sirius is?"

"Come on, I'll show you," said Lillian jumping up. "This place is really amazing. Almost everything seems to be made out of crystal!"

Harry couldn't help but nod dumbly as he entered the famed French school. There were bronze statues of all the previous headmasters and headmistresses lined up along the entrance hall which was long, wide and high! There were at least a dozen crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and there were candles burning blue flames floating above them. At the very end of the corridor a very large well polished door stood covering the entire length and breadth of the wall.

Hermione and Lillian pushed the door open and inside seemed to be the dining hall of the school. There were tables covered with expensive looking covers lined up parallel to each other with very comfortable looking chairs beside them.

"Why don't we have chairs like that in Hogwarts!" wondered Harry out loud.

"Because the fee here is astronomical compared to our own," said Hermione with a snort. "And the people here are rich stuck up purebloods unlike our school."

It seemed clear to Harry that Hermione did not like this place. He quietly followed the pair as the left through a side door and up a stairway. Harry soon realized what Lillian meant by there were crystals everywhere. The door handles were made out of crystal too and almost everywhere there where chandeliers hanging around. It seemed however had built this place had an obsession with objects made from crystal.

"So who all are here?" Harry asked them.

"Many from Hogwarts," said Lillian. "Minister Bones and a lot of high ranking ministry officials and many wizards from other countries too. It seems like this school is going to become their base of operations for now."

"Where are you all staying?"

"We're living in the dorms with the other girls in the school," said Lillian. "And let me tell you I hate them from the bottom of my heart!"

Hermione nodded vigorously in agreement. "They don't even seem to care that a war has broken out! All they're interested in is boys, looking pretty and having expensive clothes.

"Huh, wonder how the boys here are," muttered Harry. "Where are they anyway, the students I mean."

"Having classes," said Lillian. "This section of the school has been given to us until we find a proper headquarters."

"I thought you said this place was going to become our base of operations?"

"Well I certainly hope not!" said Lillian.

"Wait a minute. When did you guys get here?" Harry asked suddenly.

"A few hours back," said Hermione.

"And you've already concluded how the people are here!"

"Wait till you see them and then see how fast you come to a conclusion," snorted Lillian.

"We're here," said Hermione while knocking on the door in front. It was opened by Mrs. Weasley.

"Harry!" she gasped and then wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tight.

Harry winced at the tight grip, "Would you mind letting me go!"

"Where have you been young man," she scolded, "Do you have any idea how worried we've been!"

Harry ignored her and walked into the room which was much larger than it was supposed to be. It had been converted into a lounge of sorts and there were dozens of witches and wizards around. Harry spotted Sirius near one of the windows and hurried towards the man.

"Hiya Sirius," he said cheerfully. "How you been?"

Sirius glared at him, "I told you not to leave and yet you always ignore me. What good am I as your godfather if you won't even listen to me!"

"This is war Sirius. We all have to fight."

"You're just fourteen!" he burst out. "What the hell do you mean fight? You shouldn't be anywhere near this war!"

"I'll talk to you later if you're going to act like this," said Harry narrowing his eyes. "I am going to fight Sirius and you know you can't stop me."

"No," replied Sirius immediately, "No I can't. And that's what makes it even worse for me," he said before walking away leaving Harry alone. Dumbledore hadn't told anyone of what Harry had done to the deatheaters when the dragon had been slain. Only the headmaster and Moody knew and Moody was more than happy to make use of Harry's powers on the battlefield.

Harry stared out of the window angrily. He hated it when people tried to tell him what to do. He was more than capable of making his own decisions! With a huff he turned away from the window and stormed out of the room, maybe some exploring would make him feel better.

Ministry Of Magic, Hall of Prophecies

Lord Voldemort stood in front of a ball of sphere which had his name along with Harry Potter's name on looked at it curiously for a few minutes wondering what it could possibly say before lifting it from its pedestal and smashing it on the floor.

A pearly white image of Sybill Trelawney rose from the remains of the glass sphere and then spoke in a harsh voice.

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not ... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives ... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies ..."

The dark lord just stood there contemplating the gravity and meaning of those words for a good fifteen minutes before a wicked smile broke out on his face.

"Wonderful," he murmured and swept out of the room and made his way to the atrium where his loyal subjects had gathered.

As soon as he entered the atrium everyone who had gathered dropped to their knees.

"Rise my friends," said Voldemort, his eyes shining. "The remodelling of our world has begun. As we speak invitations are being sent to all kinds of magical beings to come out of hiding and take their rightful place in this world. This is just one city we have purged of filth. We have an entire world remaining and we shall most definitely conquer it!" he shouted.

The mass of his followers roared.

"Remember my friends, this is just the beginning of our rise! Now go. Go and spread the word to all to come out of hiding and take up residence in the heart of London!"

One by one they disapparated and when all had gone Voldemort turned to his right hand man.

"Did you find out who was responsible for the Fiendfire?" he asked Lucius Malfoy.

"Yes my lord, and he has been dealt with. But you should also know that that fire took out the headquarters of the order. The Fiendfire destroyed the fidelius charm and Bellatrix was able to remember where her home was."

"Excellent," hissed Voldemort. "Do we know where they have run away to?"

"No my lord. We are still working on that," said Lucius.

Voldemort stayed silent.

"But we do have a few leads," said Lucius quickly.

"Good," said Voldemort with a smirk. "And do make sure the reconstruction of the city goes as planned. Once the construction is complete every witch and wizard will want to join our cause!"

Lucius smiled. He had seen the plans and they were magnificent!

"Have the giants and vampires arrived yet?"

"Dolohov is dealing with it my lord. The vampire elders are still gathering the hidden covens so it might be a while before they are ready to relocate. The giants on the other hand do not wish to leave the mountains."

"Let them be then," said Voldemort. "Yaxley met with the druid clans and they are willing to come to our city on the condition that we provide them with a forest which will make it worth moving."

"A forest?" exclaimed Lucius. Where were they going to get a forest from in the ruins of London!

"Yes Lucius a forest. So I suggest you gather the potion masters and start growing a forest to the east with every magical plant in there. After all what good is a magical city without a magical forest."

"We have the forbidden forest for that my lord," said Lucius hesitantly.

Voldemort narrowed his eyes. "I suggest you get to it Lucius. I want our city to be ready by the end of the year and then we can proceed with the next stage of the plan."

Lucius nodded and quickly disapparated. He too was looking forward to the next stage of the master plan. After all it was the most important of all!

Beauxbatons

It was finally dark and all the members of the now burnt to ground Grimmauld place numbers 12 were gathered together. Adults and children included.

"How did the meetings with the muggles go?" asked Arthur softly.

"Most of the world leaders after much persuasion and reasoning have agreed to help us," said Madam Bones. She was sitting opposite Mad eye Moody and the two exchanged killer looks every now and then.

"The American president tried to have me arrested and interrogated," said Albus with some amusement.

"What did you do?" asked Fred Weasley grinning.

"I had to show him what magic is capable of," replied Dumbledore. "And after that they were most cooperative."

Some of the wizards laughed.

"Do you think it's alright having the kids around while we discuss this Albus?" asked Molly. She couldn't accept the idea of having her kids involved in a war. Especially a war that had essentially sent them into exile before they even had a chance to fight back.

"We're all in this together now Molly," said Dumbledore sympathetically. He knew how hard it was for Molly to accept this. She had never quite gotten over the loss of her brothers in the last war.

"But the problem we now face is that most of the muggle presidents and prime ministers have decided to launch a synchronised attack on London. They are using their space cameras to pin point where to strike and they will be doing so in a few days time," said Dumbledore.

"That's a good thing right?" stated Tonks.

"It's a bad thing because we don't know how far Voldemort has planned. We don't know if he has accounted for an assault from the muggles and if he has then this attack could back fire badly," said Madam Bones.

"Bones is right," said Sirius, sitting beside Harry. "Before he launched the attack on the ministry and pretty much every magical body of power we know of, he had the support of nearly every magical government in the world barring a few. We don't know what else he has been up to and done in the months when he was torturing us with silence."

"Half the muggle leaders could be under the imperius curse," said Kingsley.

"No," said Dumbledore. "Before we met with them we checked them and their staff for signs of the imperius curse and none of them seemed to be under its influence."

"Then there must be others who are not visibly important," said Arthur.

His point hit home and everybody was left wondering what Voldemort could find attractive in the muggle world.

It was Lillian father who came to a realization. "Nuclear weapons," he whispered, but his voice carried to everybody.

All those who knew what the weapons were gasped in shock and Dumbledore elaborated for those who didn't know what they were.

"They are weapons that could destroy an entire city in a flash," he said solemnly. "With just about a dozen of them, he could destroy the entire world."

"But we don't know that for sure right," said Emmeline Vance nervously. "This is all just speculation right?"

"It is," said Dumbledore. "But it seems very much possible that Voldemort could have control of these weapons. What we need to do now is meet with the muggles again and find out where they keep these weapons."

"I don't believe this," whispered Tonks. "How could we let this happen? Weren't we supposed to be keeping an eye on Voldemort's moments!"

"He hoodwinked everybody," said Severus Snape, speaking up for the first time. "The dragon attack was just a distraction and to make us believe they were his trump card he amped up their power too."

Many looked confused at that.

"What Severus means is that after Harry managed to kill the dragon, we examined its body and found an incredible number of powerful runes carved into its body. Those runes made the dragon seem invincible to us. The only reason Harry was able to cut its head of was because our runes, the ones which should have turned it to dust were able to nullify the runes Voldemort had carved into it. Also we found some really powerful potions in its system which was designed to simply make it rage around instead of being the intelligent beast that it is supposed to be."

"So in other words we were screwed over royally, made to look like fools and then made to flee from our homes like rats," said Snape bitterly.

"I can't believe this is happening," said Hermione holding on to her father tightly. "I mean is this for real or are we just dreaming?"

"This is real Hermione," said McGonagall. "This is as real as it gets and the only way to survive is to fight back."

"Minerva's right. We have to fight back!" said Diggle passionately. "We must strike back! We must show the dark lord that we will never give up and he can never rest until one of us still draws breath!"

Murmurs began to grow as everybody began to voice their agreement with Diggle.

"Voldemort wants a world war and a war with the entire world against him is what we will give him," said Charlie Weasley loudly.

The muttering began to become even louder.

"Let's take the fight to you know who!" shouted another.

Dumbledore then raised his hands and everybody fell silent eagerly awaiting Dumbledore's verdict.

"We will coordinate with the muggle leaders and launch an assault against Voldemort," he said and the room exploded into cheers.

"Now let us thank Madame Maxime for her hospitality by joining her for dinner," said Dumbledore. "And after that we shall begin planning our counter attack. We must not underestimate Voldemort's capacity to think ahead and I am sure he was planned for this. Ladies and Gentlemen, we most probably will lose many loved ones in this war but I want you all to know that no matter what happens we will always be there for each other."

"Men, Women and children... I salute you."

And he meant it.
