Thursdy November 22nd was thanksgiving, a time for families to come together. Joyce celebrated with her daughters. Once again her ex-husband didn't come. But Joyce invited Buffy's friends Xander and Willow, and Willow's grandfather David. Things had been hard for Willow lately, Joyce wanted to help. Tara had also been invited, but Willow said Tara was celebrating with her family. Steven/Conner celebrated with his parents Daniel and Justine. Things had been strained lately but they still ate dinner together. Anne had a special dinner at the shelter for Gunn and the other kids. Riley and Samantha vlounteered there before their own private dinner. Giles ate with Jenny, they even gave some scraps to Gachnar. Angel ate with Fred and Doyle, who were like family to him now. The news networks mentioned president-elect Wilkins having thanksgiving dinner with lame-duck president Obama and their respective families. Even Amy and Warren had a little dinner with Aristad, their last dinner before the end. Some watched football, others the parade. These groups had different meals, but were briefly united in their sense of hope. That they could have a small respite from the chaos and be with the ones they loved.
